Beautiful Log Home in Hill City, South Dakota

Welcome to our home away from home, The Markque. This beautiful, homey cabin, located in picturesque Hill City, South Dakota, is sure to be just what you are looking for, from the open floor plan to its convenient location right in the middle of all things Black Hills!

Enjoy your morning coffee on the front patio while watching the visiting wildlife, including deer nearly every day. Hike, bike, or run on the Mickelson Trail and relax in the evenings on our patio, in the hot tub, watching the sun set. There is a herd of Elk that have been known to visit within one block!

If you're in the area for adventure, this cabin is right by Deerfield Road, which will take you to miles and miles of Forest Service roads, ATV/UTV/snowmobile specific trails, Deerfield Lake for fishing, and hiking in the Black Hills National Forest.

Unwinding at the Markque is easy with a whole home stereo system with blue tooth access. In 2021, we added to the kitchen a brand new fridge, stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher. Many items have also been replaced in 2021 including living room furniture, gas grill, towels, bed sheets, pillows, dishes, pots and pans, and griddle. We've added a Keurig, an Instant Pot, a waffle maker and a brand new Pit Boss smoker on the patio (we provide the pellets)! The hot tub is brand new in June 2023. This is the perfect home for your vacation!

Located in a beautiful tree surrounded neighborhood with views of the national forest and access to the Mickelson Trail with ZERO GRAVEL to the home.

We feature special winter, spring and fall rates! You can also find us on Facebook - @TheMarkque - we look forward to your stay with us.

Please note: our parking availability is as follows - there is no off-street parking in this neighborhood. All cars, trucks, trailers and ATV's need to be parked in the garage or driveway. No RV's or campers are allowed to be parked in this neighborhood at any time. There is a total of 5 parking spaces for our home (one in the garage and four in front of the garage). ATV/UTV’s should never be driven across or parked on the lawn. No washing vehicles of any kind on the property.

Why they chose this property

We love our cabin because of its simplicity, hominess and central location to everything in the Black Hills. Staying with us means you are short drives to many of the most popular tourist attractions the Black Hills offers without realizing it when you are at the cabin. It's perfect!

What makes this property unique

The kitchen has a brand new fridge, stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher, in February 2021 and July 2021. The living room features a brand new couch and recliners in July 2021. We have replaced many items including the hot tub, grill, towels, bed sheets, pillows, dishes, pots and pans, and griddle. We've added a Keurig, an Instant Pot, a waffle maker and a brand new Pit Boss smoker (July 2021).
