We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Views were amazing and the place was very family friendly as we had our 22 month old with us. There were childrens toys and the kitchen was well stocked with solid cook wear. Would stay again.
Very lovely property. Nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Property manager was super responsive and helpful to a small issue we had. We enjoyed the hot tub and the view is gorgeous. The only draw back was our surprise at the close proximity of the yurt on the property-right next to the house.
This place was SO great. The isolation and view, I mean view were so refreshing. The layout of the space is so smart and this was the best stocked kitchen we have ever seen in a VRBO. The radiant heat floors were so comfortable, no drafty windows. Kudos to the hosts. I’d rate this the best place we have ever stayed at and we’ve been to a lot.
I brought my family here for a bday getaway and it was perfect. The home has absolutely everything you could ask for down to a fondue pot! Very secluded place to get down to nature and away from it all. The view is unreal and reason to book this place in itself. On top of that, Zoey was probably the fastest response time I have ever had from a host. Highly recommend this stay in all the ways!
Perfect spot for a quiet weekend away. House was wonderful, clean, great set up, and cozy. The view, the view, the view. Sitting on the patio to stargaze was the best part. Highly recommend for couples and groups. Zoey is a great host, very communicative.
Highly recommended this home to anyone needing a mountain stay getaway! Zoeys property is beautiful, modern, clean and not to mention spacious! Anyone looking at this property must have a good car that can handle a little off road action. We will definitely be returning here! Location is perfect for being right near all the fun of the hot springs, hiking and downtown food/shopping. Great trip overall :)
We had a great stay here, very comfortable for a group of 5 or 6. The views are stunning, however their is a yurt in very close proximity to the actual home. It was occupied the time we stayed and took a little bit away from our experience. Don’t get me wrong, we still had a great time and the views are amazing, just know that if you plan on having absolute privacy outside, that won’t be the case here.
One of the cleanest homes we’ve stayed in and it was extremely well stocked with all of the essentials. We will definitely be back!
We had an incredible stay at this mountain house near Glenwood Springs! The views from the property are absolutely breathtaking—it's the perfect spot to unwind and take in the natural beauty of the area. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay.
Although the property is accessed via a dirt road, we had no issues at all. The road was well-maintained, and the drive up the mountain added to the sense of adventure and seclusion.
Our host was fantastic—very communicative and always quick to respond to any questions we had. They provided clear directions and helpful tips for exploring the local area, which made our trip even more enjoyable.
Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. This mountain retreat is a true gem, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with stunning views and a great host. We can’t wait to come back!
We are from a rural part in the US so this was perfect for our stay! The property gets a thorough cleaning regularly. The hottub was clean. Not sure who stays in the yurt on the property but it was vacant during our stay. Neighbors would have been a bummer so we were thankful! The house is incredible! I do all my own house work so i know what it takes to build and maintain something this nice. I do recommend a different style grill. We cook all our own meals and being at that altitude it wasn't getting up to temp. But thats a small observation compared to how nice the views are and the general usabilty of the property!
We had an amazing & relaxing time, and never could get enough of the views day and night.
The house had everything we needed for our stay, the host was very responsive and answered all our questions. The house was clean, and we loved the decor. We had some concerns about the temperatures being in the mid 90's with no a/c, but you don't need it, the house stays nice and cool if you close it up mid morning. The elevation is pretty high too, so that helped.
We took the exposed road that is a lot quicker to the house, it's just a quick 2 minute stretch of heart racing don't look out the side window portion of the road that my husband had no issues driving. So that is up to you and your comfort zone, the road itself is good and doesn't require 4wd in the summer. No way I'd get on that in the winter, but we are flatlanders.
We rented a couple of e-bikes in town and attempted to ride on some of the trails around the house, they were a bit much for my skill level but the roads were good for riding. A must do during you stay is if you continue on the road past the house, you will come to a dead end at Lookout Mountain and it is an amazing place to watch the sunset over the canyon.
It is a little bit of a drive to get to town, but if you are looking or a place to unwind and relax, this is the place! It is also a nice launching point to go to Basalt and Snowmass.
We would definitely recommend this spot!
Nice property but not recommend during Winter season
Exactly as the title suggests. The property can only be accessed through a very challenging and lengthy unpaved uphill road. Especially with low visibility, you could only go about 5mph with how close to the cliffs the road was. It certainly was a battle and we ended up not being able to exit the property for two days due to extreme weather at that time. Now obviously we chose this property because of its serenity and privacy it provides over other accommodations. Not exactly the owner’s fault but it would have been nice to know what situation we got ourselves into. While the owner was very responsive to our requests and messages the property was also really cold with a very slow heater. If you are thinking about lodging here, please be sure to be conscious of the weather and be ready for whatever circumstances you might face. My family who vistied Colorado to ski from Korea for the first time and we ended up not being able to donany activities and my parents got sick from cold due to being outside for a half an hour trying to figure out how to get the key using the provided passcode and the code was wrong.
The final comment is that the property itself was pretty. I liked the atmosphere of the house and the huge trash can.

Thank you for staying with us Songhee! In our winter months we do inform our guests of local weather conditions, road closures and 4x4 vehicle needs - we understand winter in the rocky mountains can be a unique and special experience and Summer months can be better for those not experienced with snow conditions. I'm glad we were able to respond within 5 minutes of your arrival for any troubleshooting issues with the lockbox and get you inside and warm! For any future guests wanting to stay with us and curious of weather conditions during their travel period, we are more than happy to give them local conditions and seasonal norms to ensure this is the right stay for them and their planned trip! We hold ourselves to high standards of ensuring we are transparent and honest with what our guests can expect and any hesitations they may have. Thank you again!
This is a gorgeous location! The home has everything you need for a lovely stay. The view is incredible- it is truly a unique experience.
The listing recommends having all wheel or 4 wheel drive if visiting in the winter. This is a great start, but our all wheel drive vehicle was stranded in their single lane driveway for 24 hours.
A flight cancellation caused us to bring our own vehicle (AWD, all season tires) rather than rent the vehicle with snow tires we intended. We brought along our own tow rope and trenching tool as a precaution.
Some unanticipated and extreme weather provided challenges and, due to some transmission issues, the property’s snow plow was not working correctly. Our vehicle was unable to get up the inclines of the unplowed driveway and became stuck.
We absolutely recommend chains or snow socks because of the narrow and steep nature of the driveway. It was an inconvenience and hazard for the caretakers, the owners, and the guests, having a vehicle stuck for a full day.
The on-site caretakers were kind and helpful. The owners were responsive and offered recommendations for help. However, the property did not have adequate supplies or equipment to address the situation.
If we had brought chains or snow socks, or if the property’s plow was able to plow regularly, we would have been just fine.
This is an incredible location and an amazing place to stay. We expect the owners will make some adjustments to the recommendations for guests and the supplies/equipment available at the location to ensure a better experience for future guests.
Despite this disruption, we would definitely stay there again.

Thanks for staying with us Amy! We definitely had some Holiday weather during your stay and we're glad our team could be of help! We do plan for extreme weather conditions with our team and supplies, if any vehicles aren't adequate for winter in the rocky mountains we advise our guests on 4x4 need and snow tires and during big storms chains or sock tires to be extra safe. If a guest is uncomfortable driving in snow condiitons or the mountains, we will advise alternate routes and staying at the home during snow storms. Every winter we increase our resources and equipment to handle our strong winters! Thank you again for being a pleasure to host.
This place is an escape from the city! It has spectacular views, bright stars, and quiet surroundings. The cabin is modern, spacious, Well stocked, and close enough to town. We had a wonderful time!
Our family of 5 (with 3 kids 12 and under) spent a few days here while exploring the Glenwood Springs/Aspen area. The layout of the house was great and we really loved the mountain view off the back deck. There’s a nice couch and fire pit on the patio and the kids loved making s’mores. Zoey was very helpful and easy to get in touch as We tried to find the property at night during a snowstorm!

Not perfect
We never got a code to get in the front door, showed up and the door was open. We think they forgot we were coming. They made it right and came to clean right away and gave us a partial refund. Hopefully they learned from the experience. The listing is a little misleading. It’s not 35 minutes from Aspen and the propane is not supplied. The views are great.

Hi Jennifer, thank you for your review! As mentioned, our cleaning team had an urgent family issue which has never happened before. Noted in the listing, we do provide propane during the arrival, if it's completely used during the stay it's best to replace what you used for the next guests. From the home it can be 35-45 min to Aspen depending your destination. We do apologize about the mishap as we strive to give our guests the best experience and we appreciate all of your flexibility and understanding!
We enjoyed the adventure driving up and down the mountain to get to a place with a view that was off the charts. Very clean and very relaxing place to be. Zoey was great to communicate with.
Great view and location. Short on ammenities and supplies
The house was in great shape and clean. The view was amazing unfortunately, there was no outdoor seating at all to enjoy the view from. The kitchen also lacked substance. Only 3 coffee cups in a house that sleeps 6. Also the pots and pans lacked in options. Nice kitchen with empty cupboards.
Another thing not mentioned is that the property has a yurt on it too that was occupied.
The house was OK but not worth the overall price tag.

Thanks for your review David. I wanted to reassure you since things have been updated since your stay, we have provided more kitchen furnishings overall to ensure a satisfied stay for 6 people and also our patio being built for you to enjoy the view on. We want to ensure our guests enjoy their stay and have updated both of these features of the home for these exact reasons!
