Bring your boat or watercraft to the newly renovated LOVELL SUN. Right on the canal, tie your watercraft for your stay so you can jump in and go throughout your visit. Visit Oregon Inlet, Manteo Waterfront for the day or the various beaches on the sound. This is a property you could stay and play most of the visit or ride bikes/walk to many restaurants and stores nearby. New TIKI BAR with six swings replicated from a bar in St. Lucia! THESE SWINGS ARE NOT FOR CHILDREN! BRAND NEW FIREPIT with seating right on the water. Enjoy outdoor music at the tiki bar, play darts under the house or lay in the hammock and watch kids crab or fish from the dock. This house is our favorite place to go and we love to cook in the renovated kitchen! Enjoy a sunset walk to the end of the street by the pool, where folks gather every night to see the beautiful sunset or jump in your watercraft and go by boat. My kids love to jump in the water and play while the sun is setting. The house is in a safe, quiet neighborhood with no traffic. Kids can ride their bikes safely without the worries of cars. For days you don't feel like getting sandy, go to the pool at the end of the block on the sound, great views! Or kids can just float in the canal right on the property!
Ride bikes to the various great restaurants or Piers nearby, Owen's, Blue Moon (my favorite), Grits Grill for breakfast, or maybe Duck Donuts. The two piers I enjoy are Jeanette's for early morning yoga and Fish Heads Bar and Grill! We like to go Fish Heads Bar & Grill for a beach day instead of packing lunch, we eat at the pier and have a few drinks. Fish Heads is also a great place for Happy Hour with Live Music and food/drink specials. For shopping, It is just a short walk to HomeGoods, Ulta, Fresh Market, Food Lion, Outback, Sushi, Grits Grill and Duck Donuts to name a few. Only 15 minutes to Oregon Inlet, Bodie Lighthouse, Manteo Waterfront and Wanchese for the best lunch ever, a local favorite. For a beach day, simply walk 1/2 mile to the beach or drive 3/4 miles to the closest beach access, Enterprise Street.
There is so much to do at the house but a lot to do surrounding you without driving, especially if you have a boat. If it wasn't for my love of Lowe's and Ace Hardware, I would never drive anywhere.
Our family loves Nags Head and we hope you will love it as much as we do. We have put a lot of money into this house because we plan on keeping it and enjoying it. We don't rent it out to make money but to pay for the renovations, insurance, and upkeep, that darn saltwater makes homeowners stay in constant repair mode throughout the winter months. Relaxing Getaway to kick off summer
We had a great long weekend at this beautiful house! My team of teachers enjoyed relaxing at every fun little spot with this house. There are so many cute little nooks to enjoy. We were close to everything we need and couldn’t have asked for a better spot!

We had a wonderful time staying here! The house is spacious, clean, and has a beautiful, well-stocked kitchen. Lots to do in the area for families and it’s a great spot if you love fishing and boating. Jennifer was responsive and very helpful.

We have a lovely time. It is a beautiful house with lots of amenities. The host was very helpful and responsive. We appreciated that kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and appliances, which made meals a breeze. Walking to the beach and walking to the pool made our time a lot more chill, though we had bad luck with red flag days on the beach. Everyone loved the hot tub and we had fun with the kayaks.

Absolutely amazing!!
We traveled as group of friends to Nags Head. We were blown away with how nice the house was. The location was perfect! We had a wonderful time hanging at the outside bar and majority of the time we were at the fire pit. Jennifer was very accommodating and a wonderful host! Loved the location!
There is so much to do right on the property! We fished and crabbed off the dock. We floated and kayaked in the canal. There is a cute beach on the sound just a short walk from the house. The Dunes and beach (ocean side) are both a less than 10 min drive. There is shopping and eats a short drive away (or decent walk if you're up to it!)

Friends and Fun
Wonderful trip!! We had a group of 9 with motorcycles and had plenary of space to accommodate the trucks and trailers. The house was amazing, clean, new upgrades, and enough space for our group. The master bedroom and bathroom are incredible!!! Fire pit and tiki bar are great for just hanging out and enjoying great times and making memories. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome home and location
We loved our stay at Lovell Sun! The home was great for our family of 8. We especially loved the outdoor patio, access to the channel, the hot tub, the master bathroom(!!), the kitchen.... All of it, the house was really great.
Location, location, location. This home is in a very quiet neighborhood, and centrally located to hit all the sites in the Outer Banks. 5 mins to public beach access. 15 mins to Roanoke Island / Manteo. 60 mins to Corolla / Currituck. 60 mins to Hatteras. Lighthouses, wild horses, and miles of miles of sandy beaches! Not to mention shopping and restaurants within minutes.

An amazing house and location!!
Our family chose this house for a spring vacation to celebrate our son's soon graduation from high school. It was perfect for us and our teen's. The place was very clean and updated, and had amenities that all teenagers would love - a hot tub, kayaks, a fire pit, a titi bar to hang out, and a sound system throughout the house as well as outside that they loved. (There were so many things to do the kids didn't watch TV which was awesome!!) The culdesac was nice and quiet, and being on a channel with access to the sound was perfect. Jennifer was very good at communicating before and after our stay, always responding quickly to any questions. The newly renovated master bath was amazing!, and updated kitchen was perfect for the family. Highly recommend this place!

Thanksgiving getaway
My husband and I booked the house for us, our parents, and our two small kids. Overall we were pleased with the house. The location is great, we enjoyed kayaking and renting a boat being on the canal. The sunsets were amazing. My biggest issue was the kids bunk room- there was no ladder to the bunk which is a major safety issue considering the top railing was loose like others had pulled on it a bunch. The trundle was unusable. The boards were broken and the mattress had the springs completely gone. Neither was a deal breaker for us - but definitely needs addressed.

Thanks for your review. I am sorry about the trundle. A family before you must have broken the slats and I will get that fixed immediately. I will have maintenance go over and check the bed for anything lose but I have never had a complaint about the bed it is super sturdy.
I am glad you enjoyed everything else about the house. We are constantly upgrading to make the house nicer each year.
This Friday I am meeting with contractors about the master bedroom, staircases, bottom entrance and outside tiki bar to make it even nicer for 2022.

Great location if your not looking for ocean front. We had a mix of people who liked staying back at the house to relax on deck, or near tiki bar and overlook the canal/inlet. We also had a group who loved the ocean and it was a very short drive with enough parking. Nice quiet neighborhood with many activities to do at the house (hot tub/fire pit/ kayaks/crabbing/fishing and tiki bar). Stores/Restaurants all within close distance.

The house was great and the host was quick to respond with answers and helpful hints.

Great location and beautiful house
We looked for a house that could fit 8 people last minute near Outer Banks and Jennifer's posting looked perfect. The house was beautiful and true to the pictures posted. Each bedroom provided towels and ample room for each guest. Air conditioning throughout the house was amazing with hot and humid weather. There is a hot tub and fire pit in the back with a charcoal grill. All of us commented that it was the cleanest hot tub we had ever seen at a rental and the temperature was just perfect. The location was a few blocks away from the beach and easily walkable. Ample parking available for at least 3-4 cars. All kitchen utensils are provided and clean.
In addition, Jennifer was a great host and we kept in constant communication leading up to the stay. Afterwards, she reached out to make sure there were no issues and she was such a pleasure to work with, Highly recommend her place!

Welcome and thanks for taking the time to read about LOVELL SUN! I purchased this house from my two sisters after my mother passed away in 2014. We all grew up every summer in Nags Head, both my parents were teachers so we enjoyed summers at the beach! My dad bought a property when I was in sixth grade and I have been down every summer since. I have always loved it here and while my parents were alive, I made it the place I visited the most.
We want to keep this house FOREVER and pass it down to our children.
Some of our favorite places:
-Oregon Inlet 3:30 to see Charter Boats Fresh catch.
-Manteo Waterfront by boat or drive.
-Cut through the neighborhood for Famous Duck Donuts
-Ride my bike to Yoga in the morning -Jeanette's Pier.
- Hanging outside at the Tiki Bar, Fire Pit, and Hot Tub with family/friends.
-Listening to music throughout the house and watching kids in the canal swimming/tubing/crabbing/fishing
-Going to Blue Moon for dinner or Grits Grill for Breakfast - on my bike!
-Making fresh seafood in my new kitchen and having a family feast.
- Shopping at HomeGoods!
-Jumping in my boat and going tubing, skiing, fishing, or the private island/beach.
-Eating Lunch at Wanchese local restaurant/seafood market, O'Neils Sea Harvest -YUM
-Going to the Elizabethan Gardens and Lost Colony just past Manteo.
-Going thrifting at many places throughout Nags Head, Manteo, and KDH.
-Watching the sunset, either by boat or at the end of the block with others.

The upstairs has been completed in 2020, all decks replaced, the addition of surround sound, fire pit, tiki bar, new HVAC, refinished floors up and down. Kitchen in 2021, Master Bath 2022, walk-in shower, dual shower heads, free-standing bathtub with fireplace, and new stairs on both floors.
We are so thrilled to share our home with you. We hope you get to build some WONDERFUL memories with your family and friends and have the time of your life.

-Manteo Waterfront by boat or drive.
-Cut through the neighborhood for Famous Duck Donuts
-Ride my bike to Yoga in the morning -Jeanette's Pier.
- Hanging outside at the Tiki Bar, Fire Pit, and Hot Tub with family/friends.
-Listening to music throughout the house and watching kids in the canal swimming/tubing/crabbing/fishing
-Going to Blue Moon for dinner or Grits Grill for Breakfast - on my bike!
-Making fresh seafood in my new kitchen and having a family feast.
- Shopping at HomeGoods!
-Jumping in my boat and going tubing, skiing, fishing, or the private island/beach.
-Eating Lunch at Wanchese local restaurant/seafood market, O'Neils Sea Harvest -YUM
-Going to the Elizabethan Gardens and Lost Colony just past Manteo.
-Going thrifting at many places throughout Nags Head, Manteo, and KDH.
-Watching the sunset, either by boat or at the end of the block with others.

If you want to stay and play, this is the perfect property. You could get along without driving after you stock the house with food! You can really enjoy the property and spending time with family and friends. It is away from the main streets and tucked away in a gem of a neighborhood with water surrounding the house. It's safe for kids and the cul-de-sac was perfect when my kids were young, I never worried. Kids spend time in the hot tub and swimming in the canal and you can just relax and sit on the deck or tiki bar and watch them enjoy! It is a wonderful place! Bring a boat, kayaki or water craft to enjoy or you can also rent one!

What makes this property unique
You can stay on site and do just about everything you want. Kids can enjoy the water on the property while parents can hang out at the tiki bar, hot tub or decks. The firepit is good for a summer night or just about any other time of the year as long as it isn't too windy. FIshing, Boating and Crabbing are right here at your finger tips and your kids can stay engaged for hours pulling up crabs and swiming in the canal. Bring your boat and go out for a sunset cruise every night or take your boat to the beach near Manteo. You can visit Oregon Inlet in just 20 minutes and also go to the town of Manteo, dock and walk around the town! This is a property you don't have to leave.
Entertainment with the new surround sound, sound bar in the Living Area, Nice kitchen with plenty of seating. Or you can turn on the fire to various settings to enjoy the look of the fireplace without putting out heat.
But lastly, you have so many good things closeby if you do want to go out. Some of my favorite restaurants are so close and you can walk to the Hospital, Duck Donuts, Ulta, HomeGoods, Fresh Market, Food Lion and many other shops right around the corner (or cut through the neighborhood.
