Fantastic cottage - lots of outdoor space and the indoor is well equipped. Southwest view allows for full day sun and very nice sunsets. Kitchen has everything you need to cook meals, BBQ is top notch and lots of fridge space! Thanks Deanna and family for a great stay.

We had a spectacular week fishing from the dock, swimming, kayaking and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Cottage is spacious with multiple outdoor seating and dining options. Views from all deck levels are fabulous! Kitchen is very well equipped with everything needed. We found the nearby marina convenient as we brought our boat, and enjoyed watching the boaters throughout Woods Bay. Highly recommend! Cannot wait to come back again!

This was a virtually perfect cottage vacation. The pictures, as great as they are, do not do the property justice. Checking in was a breeze, and Deanna was such a gracious host helping out with any questions and obtaining more propane :)Fantastic kitchen, bbq, living/dining room and especially the master bedroom and ensuite. Gorgeous views of Georgian Bay, which was warm and amazing for swimming. The cottage basically has everything you need and we made wonderful memories there.

Shirt but sweet

We were only able to take a short period of time off but the cottage was the perfect place to be. The house and amenities was all we needed and they have the most amazing dock which is where all of our time was spent. Beautiful place for the family.

Great stay

My husband and I rented this cottage for our honeymoon. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is gorgeous and has more than enough room for you and some friends or family. Beautiful views of the water. Being able to get out on the water in the canoe was a nice touch. The host is also very responsive should you need anything or have any questions.

Wonderful week at an amazing cottage. Thank you Deanna and family. We stayed in the area in 2019 and the memories flooded back, making the experience that much more meaningful. If you’re reading this and contemplating going, just book it. You won’t regret it.

Beautiful Cottage

The house is absolutely beautiful. They have everything you need to feel comfortable while being away from home. The water was a little too weedy and mucky for our little ones.

Thank you Chelsea, it was wonderful to have you and your family stay with us. I am sorry to hear that your littles had issues with the natural environment of the beach area, we do our best to keep it cleaned up as much as possible while trying to maintain the natural aquatic life. We hope this small detail did not ruin your stay and that you will consider staying with us again.

Amazing! Everything you need in a property, and more! Incredible location in the lake, which we spent almost all of our time in, on, or around. Loads of wildlife, including hummingbirds and totally comical pine squirrels that provided hours of entertainment. Would come back in a flash. Jon

Lovely family cottage!!

This was a lovely weekend for our family! The cottage was perfect on the inside, beautifully built! Had a lovely view and perfect access to the water! The owners were very helpful and replied quickly if needed. The cottage was stocked with everything necessary. It was right near the marina so we were able to launch our boat and keep it at the dock! The fire pit and hot tub were a perfect addition to our stay! Highly recommend this cottage, it was a wonderful weekend!!

Nicer than the pictures

The house is beautiful and much nicer than the pictures. As mentioned in other comments they are close to a marina but the noise was still at a minimum. The property managers were very quick at responding to all my questions and there were plenty lol. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay.

Spectacular

Best of the best! From booking to departure all facets of our stay were amazing. As a frequent user of VRBO my family and I have experienced many lovely places. This is tops. Pictures of the property are acutely portrayed yet the scenery is so spectacular pictures do not do justice. Thank you for hosting an amazing stay D & C!

Sunset Heights in August 2024

The location was beautiful and the view spectacular, especially in the evening light. The property was spacious, practical and nicely decorated and the maps on the wall were very useful to us. The canoe was old and not really usable but Deanna arranged for two canoes and an additional kayak to be delivered promptly, which was quite impressive and allowed us to canoe to Moon Falls. Overall, this was an amazing and memorable stay!!

Wonderful Waterfront Property

Sunset Heights was a wonderful waterfront property. The picture in the listing are entirely accurate. As seasoned VRBO users, we can always tell when we're at someone's personal property given the thoughtful touches (vs a barren hotel) and this property was full of them. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Great getaway place for relaxing

Our family stayed at Sunset Heights from August 18th - August 31st. This place is fantastic, and the renters are great people. We've been going to the Woods Bay area for about 40 years and know several people in the area. It's a magical place for anyone that loves nature and the outdoors. We have so many great memories from this trip. Caught several fish, had two shore lunches and fish fries, boated everywhere, went swimming a lot, got to sit on the dock while the super blue moon was out and had bonfires every night. I would highly recommend this place but then again, I would also like to keep it to myself.

Nice beautiful lake front property with dock, fire pit and lots of amenities

We have enjoyed our time here and away from our daily routine. The waterfront is amazing and the property is beautiful, having all the conveniences without the rush. The Lake, the firepit, the porch/deck and spacious inside were definitely enjoyed by our party. The cottage was a great size for our family and had plenty of activities to keep yourself busy for those rainy days. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, pans, utensils etc. The hosts were readily accessible when needed with great communication. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our water time/campfires/deck and time with family and will look to be back soon.

Extras

Great home for entertaining. Only complaint is lack of water sport items available in great condition. Paddle boat is old and very noisy. Could use some stand up boards and extra kayaks. Marina is visible so takes away from scenery view on the left not shown in pictures. Water area for swimming is a bit slimey and weedy. Swam off dock so not too bad.

Thank you Lorelei for your review. We do have plans to update the water sport equipment over the next couple of seasons or when there is room in the maintenance budget to allow it. As for the beach area, we only own to the waters edge and do our best to keep it as clean as we can without disturbing the aquatic life too much. It was pleasure to host you and your family and hope to have the opportunity again.
