About the host
Hosted by maison hubert
Maison Hubert Faure is a historic stone-built house, dating from the early 19th century, in the centre of the village. It was the home of a French hero from the Second World War. We have lived here for 17 years; it is our home and we love it. We have opened it for you to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable holiday in the heart of the Dordogne, at the height of the summer.
Why they chose this property
Neuvic sur l’Isle is a quiet village in the heart of the Dordogne, with beautiful countryside and famous for its many chateaux.
We chose it because it is so close to Perigueux, the capital of the Dordogne, which had been a prominent city Roman times, and was a significant point of division between the French and Germans during the Second World War.
The weather in SW France is consistently good, though there are never guarantees
