Nice little cozy cottage, ideal for a romantic stay

Come and recharge your batteries in an eco-restored setting with historic buildings and a herbalist's garden, on the grounds of the former Château de Champlay in the Yonne.
Less than 2 hours from Paris, between Sens and Auxerre, the Colombier Vert is a haven of peace in a small village in Burgundy. Former farm of a castle now disappeared, the estate belongs to Régis and Véronique. Lovers of heritage and gardens, they are committed to the restoration of buildings while respecting their history, ecology and the environment.
At the corner of the stove...
The old bakehouse has become a nice cottage, comfortable and cozy, whose windows open onto the dovecote of the 17th century.
Ideal for a quiet stay as a couple or for a teleworking session, it has a spacious living room on the ground floor, with a wood stove: you will enjoy snuggling up in one of the two very comfortable armchairs, arranged in front of the stove, with a good book!
Upstairs, a bedroom with a double bed welcomes you for sweet and quiet nights. A separate space with a single sofa-bed allows you to receive a child or a friend. The natural and contemporary decoration brings a relaxing touch to the place.
The lawn in front of the cottage allows you to enjoy the view of the dovecote and the barns with beautiful architecture. A few meters away, a contemporary garden, created and cultivated with respect for biodiversity, invites you to walk through the vegetable garden, natural meadows and medicinal plants.
You will be welcomed by the Conciergerie de l'Yonne: Nathalie will offer you her advice to discover the region.

Just as shown in the pictures

Very nice cottage! Quality in every detail and very charming. It would benefit from A/C in periods of warm weather. Not having a washer/dryer makes it harder on longer stays. All in all, it’s lovely.

Perfect quick getaway

The cottage at Le Colombier Vert is ideal. Perfectly restored with elegant details (yet with all the contemporary comforts). While there, you have the whole grounds to yourself so you feel extravagant yet calm. Incredibly quiet views of the exquisite garden and space to think and breath. The hosts are incredibly dedicated to the restoration of the building and use all the traditional techniques and local materials. If you want a quiet re-energising visit in the region you can count on Veronique and Regis.

Schönes Haus in ruhiger Umgebung mit schönem Garten

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit mit Ausflügen und Fahrrtouren entlang der Yonne. Die Umgebung war sehr abwechslungsreich mit nette Örtchen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder. Das Häuschen ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Betreuung vor Ort sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Der Aufenthalt in Champlay war rundherum gelungen für uns zwei, die einfach Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit gesucht haben. Die Räumlichkeiten sehr schön renoviert, sauber,ruhig, das ganze Anwesen eine Augenweide, die Besitzerin sehr nett.

Un petit havre de paix niché au cœur de l’Yonne

Un gîte très agréable qui invite à la détente et au repos. Le cadre est juste sublime surtout avec un rayon de soleil. On sent que les propriétaires ont à cœur de préserver cet écrin de verdure et de tranquillité. La région est aussi à découvrir notamment pour ses belles balades en forêt.
