About this property
Glacier Lookout - Spacious, New & Villa Overlooking the Rockies & St Mary Lakes
Glacier Lookout is a unique and spacious barn style 2 story Villa on the West side of Divide Ridge and overlooks the East Rockies. The upper deck is at tree canopy height providing almost a tree house experience. The views from the upper deck have no equal to any other vacation rental property on the East side of Glacier Park. There is a 270° view of the Rockies, St Mary Lake and the Continental Divide Ridge to the East and the sunset over the mountains.
There is typically a variety of wildlife on and around the property that include bear, horses, deer, elk, fox and moose. Because of the remoteness from large towns there is dark night sky for fantastic star gazing and mystic camp fires.
The cabin was built in 2021 with all modern appliances and all amenities of a new home. The Villa is a short 10mi to St. Mary and to Many Glacier park entrances. The property is 180 acre with walking trails on and on the adjacent to property.
The home has 2 queen bedrooms. There is also a upstairs living area that has space for additional full or twin air matress that is provided with bedding.

Very clean, comfortable and all the amenities that we needed. Jon was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. The place has a beautiful view and provides much peace and quiet. Excellent place to stay.
This property is perfect for those that want a quiet place, with a great view, and can drive to amenities. The host is very informative and truly goes the extra mile. The house was clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed and doing laundry was helpful.
Magnificent Glacier NP views and cozy cabin with all the amenities.
We had an incredible stay. Our family loved the cabin, beds were comfortable and the amenities were fantastic. We enjoyed grilling our dinner every night while enjoying the magnificent GNP views, and we all had fun around the outdoor fire pit stocked with the perfect amount of firewood. Very short drives to Many Glacier and the St Mary entrance. Thanks to Jon for being a very responsive host to all our questions. We will certainly be back one day!
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Glacier Lookout. While visiting a national park (and Glacier in particular) is generally beautiful and peaceful in and of itself, GNP is a busy, popular place, so we really enjoyed relaxing at the Lookout away from all the crowds, and enjoying the beautiful views. It was a great location on the east side, not too far from St. Mary or Many Glacier. The home was updated and plenty spacious with cute decor! We appreciated having 1.5 bathrooms, a washer/dryer and full kitchen. And the fire pit! Jon was very responsive and easy to work with. I’d definitely come back again! Thank you for the hospitality!
Beautiful sweeping views of the mountains that change throughout the day with the weather. Very comfortable accommodations with everything we needed. Bring your groceries with you for cooking and bring your passport for entry into Waterton national park; well worth the drive north.
This property is very private. You have great views outside your door. Convient location to waterton st Mary many glacier and two medicine and Logan pass. All of them were 15 minutes to an hour away.
First time to Glacier National Park so I had no idea where to stay. This cabin was the perfect spot! Great location, minutes away from Many Glacier and St Mary entrances. Fantastic views, very quiet and peaceful.
Our stay was fantastic! The house was great and unique! Well built with every bit of space was used efficiently! Gorgeous views of Glacier! Very peaceful and pleasant! We loved it!
The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was located on a long gravel road through the woods and we saw a Moose in the woods on the way there. The view was amazing. We picked up groceries on the West side which I highly recommend. We ate dinner at the Two Sisters Cafe one night and it was really good.
This was such a cute little cabin that was perfect for 4 adults. It was a little tough to find the house so more signs would be nice along the dirt road. The grocery store in Babb was very small and pricey. Make sure you stop for groceries in a bigger town with more selection. If your coming from the East, the grocery store in Browning looked to be a lot bigger. Our favorite hike was a 14 mile day in Many Glacier to Grinnell Glacier Lake. It was so beautiful and even ran into a grizzly about 20 yards away. This cabin is a great location and was extremely clean!
We spent 4 nights here on our road trip with our three kids (10, 8 & 6) and we could have stayed longer. Perfect location to Many Glacier, Two Medicine and St. Mary’s Entrance. The house had everything we needed and more! We bought groceries in Great Falls on our way to the cabin which was a must. Grilled dinner at the house and bonfires/s’mores after long days of hiking. Would also recommend Johnson’s Cafe for dinner one evening. They were wonderful!
P.S. The little neighbor dog was a huge plus! Our kids loved playing with him every evening. We would love to come back again!
Pros: Home provides easy access to east side of Glacier National Park, shower was nice, thankful for bear spray provided, basic kitchen items /bath supplies provided, view overlooking lake in distance is private and pretty, especially in the evening. Deer visited nightly. Nice to have washer and dryer. Owner offered to get any supplies we needed during the stay. Had decent turkey clubs at Swift Current Inn and nice dinner at Snowgoose in St. Mary's. Appreciate that you are allowed to leave any extra food/supplies for someone else to use.
Cons: Owner shared this info :about 1.5 miles gravel road with cattle grids to drive over to reach the home (this made me nervous, but may not bother others). Extra blanket had moths in it. The seating area is upstairs with one bedroom and the kitchen is downstairs with another bedroom. Not a problem, just a bit of an awkward layout. One concern: I'm all for helping get cleaning started in a VRBO, but was asked to do a load of towels and sheets. Maybe pick one or the other. If cleaning service is provided/fee charged, I feel that is a service they should provide. This process holds up an early morning departure.
We spent a great deal of time hiking and touring the area. This home provides the comfort of modern amenities and a decent location to explore this side of amazing GNP:) Montana is beautiful!! Glacier NP is Amazing!!
The astounding scenery is a once in a lifetime opportunity! The craggy, huge Rockies, the wind blown eastern grasses of eastern side of the Rockies, the never ending changing of colors with the changing sunlight and clouds. The cabin itself is very clean and attractive, and of course it was close to Glacier National Park, and close to Canada’s Waterton/Glacier International Park. We went to Canada’s Prince of Wales Hotel for “high tea” - the tea was very interesting (if you’ve never had “high tea” before), but the views from our table were awe inspiring! If you are amazed by nature, stay here!
Cozy space, well appointed kitchen. We really liked it being so out of the way yet convenient to all the East Side access points to Glacier NP. Jon very responsive and good communicator.
This place was amazing. The views, the house, and the host Jon was spectacular. The property is very well kept and very peaceful to stroll around. Me and my wife woke up everymorning at 5am made coffee and restarted the fire from the night before and watched the sunrise and soak up the beautiful views of the mountains. Cool brisk mornings, quiet, and absolutely stunning. The house is everything you would expect and much more. Very clean, everything you need is there. The beds and the futon were extremely comfortable.Jon was a very exceptional host. I Had a flat tire and asked him were i could go to get it fixed and within 10 minutes he was at my car plugging the tire for me. He gave us a list of all the close by stores and resturants.Overall one of the best places we have ever stayed at. I highly recommend this property to anyone going to montana. We will def be coming back. Also its located on the east side of glacier NP which means you do not need a timed entry for the park or a reservation to the going to the sun road
This is a fabulous place to stay with incredible views. The property is well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen is well-supplied with pans, dishes, utensils, etc. The host is responsive to messages.
This place is absolutely amazing! Jon the host was wonderful and very helpful offering lots of advice. We felt so at peace and at home here. I would definitely stay here again!
We loved our stay. There are a couple of cabins that we could view, but there was plenty of space where we didn't feel encroached. Amazing view, just 15 minutes to Glacier. Had everything we needed to cook meals. Very efficient layout. Would definitely recommend.
My family (adults and college kids) stayed for few days at Foy's Lake. The house was very spacious and the layout was terrific since the rooms and kitchen were separated by the living room. There are two beds downstairs and one king bed and the twin trundle is upstairs. We loved having direct access to the lake and paddle boards with good life jackets. If for no other reason, renting the house for the gazebo is completely worth it. It was a great place to sit all day. The neighbors are close but the shrubs and bushes on the property lines make you feel there is no one around. If you rent, bring water sandals. The rocks can be sharp and the stones in the lake can be slippery. Also, we were there when the temperature was above 85 F. The downstairs was completely cool but even though the portable AC in the upstairs was on, it was still too hot for us. Maybe it was just us. The town is very close and has everything you need for food or food delivery. The property is great, the game room was fun and having the local coffee beans provided was a treat. We had a lot of fun.
Had a wonderful time, gorgeous views and even saw a moose. Located close to several restaurants and a historical General Store.
