Enjoy the luxury of our renovated lodge perfect for large groups. Located near Bullards Bar Lake for those with boats, next door to the awe-inspiring Yuba River, and a short drive to skiing for the arctic enthusiasts. Prepare your meals for 20+ in our chef's kitchen with fresh herbs cut from the garden. Soak in the 6-person spa or enjoy s'mores under the stars. Willow Springs is a place to escape and re-connect with what is important, creating memories. EV Dual-Charging Station on site. The newly renovated Willow Springs Lodge was designed for comfort for large gatherings with a spacious living room/dining room/wet bar area and a well equipped chef’s kitchen to feed your group efficiently. We offer private queen bedroom suites to an upstairs bunk room, ideal for family reunions and intimate retreats for up to 20 people. The upstairs features the unique private "hobbit room" with a full mattress, and 6 twins beds and room for additional sleeping bags. The main floor offers two half-baths and one shower room for common use. The rooms are equipped with HVAC for both heat and AC. The commercial-like chef's kitchen is equipped with 2 large ovens, 24" griddle top, and 6-burner stovetop. A BBQ is located on the back patio. The side-by-side commercial refrigerator and freezer makes storage of food for large groups a breeze. The 3-compartment sink is ideal for pots and pans, and the commercial dishwasher cleans dishes in a fraction of the time. Eating areas include the dining room table (seats 8-12), 14-foot original bar (seats 8) and outdoor patio table (seats 8). Additional table and chairs are available upon request. The living room seats 8 people comfortably on armchairs and leather couch in front of the gas fireplace. The original "Weeping Willow" bar has been preserved and is equipped with a refrigerator with ice-maker, bar sink, and ample room to store and prepare drinks. The back patio offers a tranquil natural environment to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The sound of three cascading waterfalls and meandering creek accents the peacefulness of your outdoor meals. Immediately adjacent is a 6-person hot-tub to soak after the day's activities. (NOTE: hot tub is seasonal Oct.-May.) Pass through the gate into the herb garden to cut some fresh herbs for your meal, or just sit and enjoy nature and the chickens. A self-tour guidebook for the herb garden/permaculture garden with fun facts makes learning an enjoyable family activity (it even has a quiz at the end). Make family memories roasting s'mores at the fire pit under the stars. Willow Springs is a unique farm setting with a touch of forward thinking. Additional amenities (which must be arranged in advance and at additional cost) include use of the Heart Center yoga/meditation studio, event terrace, open-air pavilion, wood-fired sauna, and outdoor beverage bar. For those that want to enjoy the fresh air of the Tahoe National Forest we also offer a fully fenced camping area that sleeps an additional 20+ people. Rustic cabins and yurt also available. About the host
Hosted by Patricia Hughes

Mark has had a life-long dream to create a unique retreat center, where people can come to re-boot from the stresses of modern living and learn new skills for leading a happy and healthy life. He met Trish (through a unique experience in itself!) and found that she was also interested in this dream, and together we started looking through-out California for the perfect property. As most things of importance often go, the universe had something in mind for us that was totally unexpected! It's been 2 years of incredibly hard work remodeling a building and property that had been terrible over-grown and neglected. We have held onto our vision through much adversity - working 24/7 for months at a time, cold winters without heat, unexpected set-back and delays, financial stresses, and of course just when we were about ready to open....Covid. But when we look at what we have created here at Willow Springs (and it is still in process), we are very proud of what we have accomplished, and have no regrets for choosing this property.
Why they chose this property
We feel that Willow Springs offers the perfect spot for both small retreats and family/friends gatherings with the right mix of comfort and rustic farm feel. It's an opportunity for connecting with nature, relaxing, and spending quality time with family and friends. We don't have TV's in the lodge for a reason. We want people to be spending time connecting with each other, playing some of the many board games/puzzles, enjoying the outdoor patio, or exploring the property with a free tour! We can show you the chickens, permaculture education garden, herb garden and talk about intentional community living.
What makes this property unique
We encourage you to "personalize" your time here at Willow Springs to meet your desired outcome. Use your imagination, and we will try out best to make it happen. With an on-site yoga studio, art barn, large outdoor pavilion and resident community of teachers/healers, the opportunities are endless. A few examples are:
-massage, reiki healing sessions, private yoga classes
-mask-making, glass-blowing, painting /art classes, music
-Learn to juggle
-fully or partially catered meals
