Les Cardoux is a well-maintained and functional holiday rental for 4 (6*) people in Trémolat—no frills, but with all the usual comforts of a rental home for a very pleasant stay in the heart of the Dordogne.
The unheated pool, located at the back of the house, is very private and ideally situated (4x6m, 1.5m deep with a semicircular Roman steps) and opens onto a large terrace with a pergola that seats 6 people and features a barbecue.
There are 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin), a comfortable living room (sofa bed*, smart TV, wood-burning stove), and a spacious, modern, recently renovated kitchen/dining room that opens onto the pool and pergola. The bathroom has also been recently renovated.

The Gîte des Cardoux, with its front garden, driveway, and parking for 4 cars, is within walking distance (5–10 minutes, depending on your mood!) of the heart of the charming village of Trémolat, a gem of Périgord architecture.
Trémolat has a water sports centre on a wide bend of the Dordogne River, and the Gîte des Cardoux is only about 300 m from the river. Just outside the village, the water sports centre offers a variety of activities, and the bar-restaurant provides a breathtaking view of this vast stretch of the river while you enjoy an ice cream. In the village centre, a pizzeria with a terrace, a bistro, a supermarket, and a snack bar near the old church (15th century) are all welcoming spots across from the town hall and the post office.
Les Cardoux is ideally located for visiting the surrounding medieval castles of the Dordogne, prehistoric caves and museums, amusement parks, restaurants, rivers (including canoe trips), etc., or simply to relax in Trémolat.
For children’s safety, the property and the pool are fully fenced.
