Very secluded and peaceful farmhouse with easy drive through a beautiful meadow to the river. I make a trip to the Shenandoah River every year to fish and this year was the best year so far. The house was very accommodating and comfortable for my family and pup.

Loved the location and was a great stay I do wish was alittle cleaner as the hottub had dirt on the seat and bottom you could feel and when put the futon down had crumbs all on it but otherwise was lovely stay

Bring your own bed sheets and towels!!!! We didn’t even see that when booking this place because it was in the small fine print but this place doesn’t have linens.Otherwise we had a great time here and the hot tub was really nice

We had a lot of fun with our two kiddos and our dog and the property outdoors was gorgeous- so many birds and cool wildlife to watch. A few things that probably should be mentioned in the listing is that while the property may be "private" to Nina, the owner/host, the river access is shared with the other rental up the lane as well as the surrounding neighborhood. If you have your dog, bring the leash at all times as we ran into situations several times where someone showed up with another dog and we had to run back up to the house, which is a solid 5-7 minute run/fast walk to get the leash. The house was also not cleaned, it looked as if it had been empty for a few months with no cleaning. Again, a river property with charm, but could have been a little bit cleaner, a little clearer around what private river access meant, and I do not believe both beds are queen sized, one was a double. For the price, the rental conveyed we would have the river access to ourselves, which is not the case.

We have 3 cut outs on the river and fantastic access for folks to spread out and most our dog folks are fantastic. We asked for feedback if that was not the case and did not hear anything? We have fox, turkeys, groundhogs and lots of deer so certainly lots to see for people and furry friends:). We hope you enjoy future times in the mountains and on the river.
