Nature’s ambiance will welcome you with tall pine trees, open skies and star gazing. These are just a few of the sights that the Lazy D Retreat has to offer. The scenery and atmosphere of this location will surely rejuvenate your mind, body and soul. You may even come across deer, turkey, or a variety of wildlife.

The Lazy D Retreat can accommodate your needs in many ways. After a day of boating on the lake or fly fishing the streams you can come back to relax in your personal screened in hot tub. Surrender your evening in the company of your family and friends roasting marshmallows alongside of a warm camp fire, while taking in the natural beauty of the beautiful star filled skies.
The Lazy D Retreat will surely be a place for you and your family to remember. This log cabin home will accommodate a group of 8.

Beds: 1 king, 2 twin/queen bunks

Maximum Occupancy: 8 (adults, children 2+) Exceeding the maximum occupancy results in additional charges and/or eviction without refund. Overcrowding of cabin is not allowed.

NOT pet friendly - Service animals MUST be registered PRIOR to arrival

Free WI-FI/Cable/Satellite included in all cabin rentals. Although WI-FI is provided it is not guaranteed. BBLC is not responsible for speed or reliability.

S’mores and stories around the fire pit are a must! Notify us at least 24 hours prior to arrival and we will have the ingredients for s’mores and firewood delivered and ready for your stay. Refunds cannot be given for unused firewood. See concierge for more information.

A starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, bath soap, dish washing liquid, trash bags, dishwasher tablets, laundry soap, coffee filters, and salt & pepper will be provided for your stay. All cabins have fully equipped kitchens, iron/ironing board, towels, and linens.

Charcoal is not provided. Propane is provided for gas grills.

We drain and sanitize our hot tubs after every check-out.

Gas Fireplaces are seasonal October-May.

Cozy Cabin Perfect for a Family Retreat

This house was wonderful! We really enjoyed our stay and especially loved the bunk room, multiple fireplaces, large open kitchen, laundry room and large front porch. We hope to come back for another visit soon!

Beautiful cabin with amenities

It was a very beautiful cabin with great furnishings. The kitchen had every type of cookware that you could need. The front and back porches were very nice and relaxing!

The layout of this place is perfect for families. Loved the big common space. The pictures don’t really show the layout well. It was much better than anticipated - a pleasant surprise.

Girls trip

We loved this cabin for a New Year’s Eve girls trip! The only issue we had was finding the place initially as the address provided doesn’t bring you exactly there. The beds were comfy, it was a spacious cabin & we enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub!

Beautiful cabin

Our stay was wonderful for all ages! From the small kids to the big kids in us adults we all had a wonderful time. There were no problems with the cabin it was marvelous. The property manager and staff were great and always responsive. The only issue I had was I am a light sleeper and the cabin behind us I’m assuming was having a little get together. They were just a little to close to the side of the cabin we slept in. I could hear laughing and talking etc. But hey to each there own. We just enjoyed our time.

Best cabin ever!

I really enjoyed my stay at this cabin! Communication with the owners upon booking and prior to arrival were informative, helpful, and they were quick to respond to all my messages. The area was perfect- close enough to all activities/restaurants but a few miles away to still get the cabin experience. My friends and I loved the hot tub and the cleanliness of the both the cabin and surrounding property! The woods around the house gave us enough privacy while still feeling safe knowing there were cabin neighbors near by. We will definitely be back just to have a little get away in this cabin! It’s more spacious and a lot bigger than the pictures let on, the rooms were more than enough for all of us girls to hangout, get ready, and everyone has their own place to sleep in the most comfortable beds! The owners really made the experience special by offering neat packages with firewood, smores, etc! I can’t wait to come back!

Lazy D retreat

First off the cabin was awesome, but when we first arrive in Hochatown the direction that are given to get to the cabin are very unclear.. took us at least 40 minutes to finally find the cabin…. The code given to the front door was incorrect waited an hour and was going to find a hotel but finally found a number to call the 24/hr service….. the lady says oh I’m sry there is something wrong with our system…. Needless to we got in the cabin but it was a rough start to enjoy are cabin retreat.

Beautiful Cabin

Lovely cabin. It was absolutely wonderful. The only thing I would mention is the fridge. We couldn't get things cold- ice was melting in the freezer. I noticed there was a lot of literature on the fridge- and how not to overload it or expect things to stay cool for 24 hrs. in the guest book, so I susoect this has been an issue before. I counted- we had ten items in the fridge and still they were only a few degrees cooler than room temp when we woke up Saturday morning. We didnt have a cooler (as they suggested we use), so we just ate out. Its not a normal size fridge. If it were me, I would drop a grand and get a new one without a second thought.

Beautiful and clean cabin for a family getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay at the LazyD cabin! It was cleaned to perfection and the kitchen was fully equipped to make family meals. We enjoyed the hot tub and created new memories by the fire pit! The foosball table and other board games were a huge plus for our kids. We would definitely stay here again! The owner may want to consider upgrading the master bedroom mattress in the near future to make it an even better experience!

Blue Beaver cabin

While the cabin was nicely appointed and clean, the customer service was terrible. The fireplace in the master bedroom did not work and even though we reported it and were told maintenance would come, they never showed. The cabin was not adequately heated and there were no extra blankets to be found. We asked for some but they were never delivered. We paid $55 for a s’more/firewood bundle but only got the ingredients for the food and never any firewood. For the cost, very disappointing!

Closeness

This cabin was WAY too close to 3 other ones. I realize they may be part of a group, but there's no privacy that way. They need to be a little farther apart. I don't want to be able to look out any window in the building and be able to see what's going on in the cabin next door. That's entirely too close. Felt we had to keep our blinds closed the entire time or we felt like we were on display.
