This luxury villa in Las Terranes, is situated on the lush tropics of the Samana Peninsula of the Dominican Republic. It features designer furnishings, stone decks and patios throughout the villa, each with epic views of the mountains, the town below and the turquois waters of the Caribbean Ocean. Our hilltop retreat offers an infinity pool, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, spacious walk-in closets, air conditioning and ceiling fans. The villa is equipped with WiFi. This vacation retreat is just an 10 minute walk to creative shops, restaurants & the beautiful beaches of Las Terrenas. Go and explore, or stay home and relax. We have it all!

The perfect vacation house

Im in love with this villa its just as perfect as the pictures. The beds are huge. The location is the best because it's right there in the middle of everything and at the same time isolated because its on a hill. The owner is excellent to communicate with and made it work for me for many inconvenience that I had on my end. I highly recommend it

Our stay at Sole Mar in Las Terrenas was an absolute 10/10 experience from start to finish. The home itself is exactly as described—if anything, even better in person—and every detail felt thoughtfully designed for comfort, relaxation, and enjoying the incredible surroundings. The view is truly breathtaking, and waking up to the sight and sound of the sea each day was something we’ll never forget.What really set this stay apart, though, was the hospitality. Rick, James, and Natalie (the house manager) were unbelievably attentive, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had the best possible experience. Every question was answered quickly, and every need was handled with ease. One of the highlights of our trip was when Rick and James stopped by to share a glass of wine with my wife and me—it made the experience feel personal, warm, and unforgettable.The home itself is stunning, and one thing worth noting is that the listing should absolutely include photos of the bathrooms—they are beautiful and deserve to be shown off. Everything about Sole Mar exceeded expectations, and it’s clear that a lot of pride and care goes into both the home and the guest experience.We would come back in a heartbeat and highly recommend this property to anyone considering a stay in Las Terrenas.

The view is gorgeous and the house is near the beach and town. The wifi wasn’t great but overall it was a wonderful stay. The property manager was also responsive. I’d stay again.

As owners, we are in the Experiential Live Events industry, so experiences and attention to detail are paramount to what we do, and SoleMar is no exception. We purchased the house in 2020 when it was only 4 years old. It was "turn-key" when we purchased it, but we have taken it to another level with new amenities and constantly updating for the best possible experience for our guests.

Why they chose this property

Some people like to be in the middle of the buzz, and some like to view it from above and go down into it when they want. SoleMar is the later. This villa is a tropical oasis with commanding panoramic views of the world below, but only a few minutes walk to be in the tick of it, or 3 minutes by car, or taxi. Far enough away to be peaceful and close enough to be exciting. Its the best of both worlds! The attention to detail, the style, the furnishing, the amenities and the gardens are all designed specifically for an immersive experience that will leave you fully satisfied.

What makes this property unique

Located on a private road makes for a very peaceful experience. The property and grounds are built into the side of the mountain top, with the stone decks and an infinity pool poised gracefully overlooking everything. You can float in the pool, while watching the sunset into the mountains carpeted in palms, or watch the Caribbean Ocean change colors as the sun sinks low. Words can paint a picture in your mind, but experiencing it is unforgettable.
