Beachfront 1BR water views near Cape May & Wildwood
THE AREA. The Villas is a small residential Delaware Bay community, 20 minutes from Cape May (2 beach tags included) and Wildwood beaches. The bay ecosystem is home to so many birds, horseshoe crabs, and sea life. We’ve even seen dolphins and eagles in the spring! Sunset walks are a must.
Although this part of the bay isn’t typically used for swimming, it is perfect for young children wading and water sports like paddle boarding and kayaking. There are lots of local places to eat, grab ice cream, rent bikes or paddle boards, etc. Or drive 15-20 mins into the beach towns of Cape May and Wildwood to swim with lifeguards and surf the real waves!
THE UNIT. Nestled on the Delaware Bay with a private patio and expansive water views, this modern yet comfy, newly renovated 1 bedroom apartment has floor to ceiling beach/bay and sunset views. This unit is a serene mix of design and nature where you can enjoy the gorgeous sunsets, changing tides, and nature's best show either indoors or out.
The big sliding glass door allows you to be “out in nature” even when you’re inside. At high tide, the water is right at your feet! At low tide, you can walk out on the bay halfway to Delaware (ok not quite that far). It’s wonderful to feel like you’re standing in the middle of the ocean).
This unit sits on the ground floor of a triplex- a complete unit with your own private bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, patio, and living room/dining area. Two beach tags for Cape May are included, but guests will be charged replacement fees if they are not returned at check-out since the next guests will need them.
LIVING & DINING AREA. The main room has a brand new kitchen with newer appliances, a sofa that looks out at the bay (and can sleep one person in a pinch), a comfy swivel chair, tv with WiFi and Apple TV (but no cable TV), and a dining table.
BEDROOM. The queen bed is comfy with a new mattress and both privacy shades and curtains.
OUTDOORS. This apartment sits on the first floor of a two-story typically quiet triplex (three separate units). The large 4 bedroom unit upstairs is also listed if you are looking for more space or to coordinate with friends or relatives. This rental includes use of shared outdoor Weber grill and picnic tables.
You won’t find better sunset views anywhere! Walk straight out the sliding glass doors to a covered (private) patio or another 40 feet and you’re right on the small beach. Your private patio includes both relaxed seating and a bistro set for eating outdoors.
LOCATION.
This listing is beachfront on the Delaware Bay. Nature abounds!
It’s a short 15-20 minute drive to Cape May and Wildwood beaches and boardwalks where you can swim in the ocean an explore boardwalks, restaurants, and shops.
RENTALS.
During summer season (mid June through Labor Day), rentals are offered only on a weekly Saturday to Saturday basis and must be booked in seven day increments. Guest access Private patio Private outdoor chairs Private outdoor dining table Shared large Shared outdoor grill Shared outdoor picnic tables Shared laundry (not in unit) Shared rinsing hose and shower stall
Both grocery stores and CVS deliver right to the house, and there are many takeout food and delivery options. This is a great location where you can have as little interaction with others as you wish.

Wonderful, quiet location, yet close to everything. Great walkable beach, restaurants close by, bike lanes to enjoy riding bike, and of course sunsets on the water!
We truly enjoyed our stay. We are looking forward to staying with you again next year. Your place is lovely and so beautiful and very clean.. The area is so relaxing.

We enjoyed hosting you and look forward to having you back again!
We were looking for a quiet weekend away near the beach and this was perfect. Apartment is simple and has all the basics for cooking and storing food. View from the kitchen table is the bay and the sunsets are amazing. Easy parking right outside the unit. Very quiet neighborhood and easy access to walking on the beach.owner was very responsive and easy to work with. We would love to return!
Our trip was planned to be a short weekday Fall getaway. We chose this apartment because of the beautiful view of the Delaware Bay. The weather was clear but very windy because of a hurricane off shore. We did walk on the beach but not for very long. There are good restaurants nearby reccommended by the owner. Cute rabbits are very friendly neighbors.
Jen, the host was very informative. Her communication and response time was A+.
Bed Linens, Bath towels, shower curtain, Kitchen supplies, pots, dishes and utensils are a totally upscale, better than normal quality from the typical “vacation rental quality”.
Great water pressure in shower.
The sunsets from right outside the patio doors - awesome!
Thank you Jen and Jenn, we will be back.
I found this rental in Feb 2024. While I've traveled to Cape May many times, I've never stayed in Cape May. The Villas is not located in town ie touristy location, which is what attracted me to this rental. Close enough to tourist attractions only a few minutes by car. But far away enough that I felt that I was on my own bayfront retreat. The rental is a gem, I stayed in unit 1 AND cannot wait to book unit 3 which has four bedrooms with a view that is simply breathtaking!! Jen is one of the most gracious/accommodating, personable hosts ever! I've stayed with other hosts and let me tell you - Jen and her team have thought about every amenity/convenience for their guests. The unit I stayed in has everything needed, especially if you like to cook a few of your meals and enjoy the outdoors. A few recommended restaurants are in walking distance (if you enjoy walking and weather permitting), but again someone like me enjoying a glass of wine while cooking and eating on the patio while viewing the bay is truly splendid. Several family and friends drove down for the day to celebrate my birthday and they were impressed! We spent time in historic Cape May - Washington Square and enjoyed Miami Beach and Cape May beach. I could go on and on. Can't wait to return.
The view of the bay and the sunsets were incredible. Bring your own chairs for outdoors. If you are like us, we spent a lot of time on the patio enjoying the view. After seeing the chairs that were provided in the pictures, we brought our own and I am glad we did.
The bed was very squishy and non supportive. So much so, we actually left after sunset the night before we were supposed to check out. The bathroom door did not open all the way as it scraped on the floor. It also did not close properly as it may have been missing some molding.
When we arrived, the unit was pretty clean. There were a few cobwebs in the bathroom and above the kitchen sink.
A Brita filter was supplied with water in the fridge. This was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the filter needed to be replaced.
Overall, I feel it earned the 3 star review. With a little care and a few upgrades like a good mattress, it could easily be a 5 star vacation.
The view is a 10. Unfortunately, the bed would keep us from returning. I hope the owners make a few upgrades. That would then make this unit incredible.

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the view, but we’re sorry to hear that the unit wasn’t up to your standards. It would have been helpful to reach out while you were there so that we could have addressed your concerns. This is the first we’ve heard about the bathroom door, so we will definitely check that out right away. The mattress has a foam topper that could have been removed to make it more firm for you, and we certainly would have replaced the Brita filter if we had known, so that you could have more fully enjoyed your stay.
Gorgeous sunsets away from the noise and crowds yet just a short ride to all that Cape may offers. Rental was super clean with all you need and wonderful communication from our host. Will certainly come again!
Apartment is right on the Delaware Bay, 15 minutes to Cape May and Wildwood is close too. It was very clean and very quiet. We ordered out delicious seafood and sat outside to watch the sunset each night. Great little space!

Why they chose this property
I went under contract for this house in March of 2020, and it has brought me and so many guests some beauty, joy, and peace in such difficult times.
