The space
~Hi Guest! I am a friendly, experienced, VRBO select "SUPER-HOST" so rest assured, your stay will be phenomenal. This property is properly sanitized with disinfectants after each guest leaves and is always sparkling clean. I grew up in a NY restaurant family and have a B.S. in Hotel Management so you will be in very good hands and staying in a lovely, well-appointed, spotless house. I will set you up for a comfortable stay and be accessible via phone, but you will have complete privacy in your domaine! It's cozy and inviting and super comfy.

~Two, large separate bedrooms with 5 star LEESA brand (excellent) mattresses and bleach-kissed, white cotton bedding. King size bed, Queen size bed, Two Twin-size cots, (and a sofa, if you need space for a seventh!)

~New bathroom with plenty of fluffy, bleach-kissed, white towels and lots of cool toiletries to make your stay comfortable.

~Huge, vaulted Great Room with Billiards, Poker table, 57" Flat screen Smart TV, BluRay with 400 DVD's to choose from, board games, and crocks of M&M's!

~High speed, fibre optic internet.

~Comfy Room & Board HUGE sectional sofa and lots of open space to socialize and relax in. I call my style "Minnesota-nice-n-cozy" meets " the Bold North's Scandinavian design," with a bit of New York, yoga-girl whimsy!

~ "Jane has the VRBO concept down to a science; I can see why she is a super host. A+ on every aspect of this cool apartment. Sparkling clean, comfy beds, great shower/bath, and many personal touches such as toiletries and treats that make this place the best ever." (Robin)

~7 minute Uber/Lyft ride to Mpls. Convention Ctr., U.S. Bank Stadium, Target/Twins Field, Guthrie Theatre, University of Minnesota. (very CLOSE to everything you'll need, but even closer to everything you'll want!)

~You will be in the HEART OF UPTOWN so you may easily WALK to fine restaurants, wine bars, breweries, boutiques, grocery stores, movie theatre, Walker Art Center! No car or taxi needed! I walk everywhere!

~"This is a fantastic place to stay. Jane has thought of everything. The place is well stocked, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, M&Ms there for you ... I really don’t know what else you could ask for! And, Jane is a great communicator. She’s provided lots of notes throughout the house to help you out, and she responds promptly to messages. This is a 5 Star all the way!!! Thanks Jane, you helped make our trip to Minneapolis a great one."(Mark)

~Private, sunny (or moonlit) back deck with a bistro set and twinkle lights - just use the back door of your place and you will be in a serene setting!

~Free parking space by your door for one passenger car (plus additional parking on the street) in a safe, residential upscale neighborhood of houses valued $900K+! It is beautiful here!

~My place is a Historic Tudor/English cottage style home built in 1908 and is completely renovated - a large and striking landmark property in a cute historic district. My neighbors LOVE my house! Very spacious, high-ceilings, all hardwood floors throughout.

~Walk to close-by "Lake of the Isles" for pedestrian and cycling paths around a gorgeous lake - just 10 minutes of walking and you'll be there (stop at Spyhouse coffee on the way!) Great "people-watching" and you'll see the Pillsbury mansions and other $10M+ historic and fabulous homes bordering the walking path.

~"A nice spacious house in the best neighborhood in Minneapolis!"(Eric)

~"Spacious, comfortable, welcoming space with thoughtful and generous touches that made this one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. Highly, highly recommended it!" (Gail)

Guest access
~You will have your own, private, enclosed entrance door and separate foyer to your second floor home-away-from-home! A keypad lock with your private code makes coming and going safe and easy. Well-lit, dry, warm vestibule as you enter! I send you the keypad code the day of your arrival and the directions are clearly printed in your foyer on signage for you to follow. 100% of my guests have been pleased and successful with the independent check-in and check-out process. Free parking space right near your entry door.

~Everything you need will be accessible in your own, completely private house - including your outdoor, private sunny back deck accessible from your private back door. You will have your own laundry room for a load or two of wash, and your own fully-equipment-stocked kitchen. Coffee, half-n-half, sugars.

~There is a space inside my locked foyer next door (ten steps away) where you may temporarily store luggage for a few hours before or after check-in/out if you would like this service. Happy to help that way!

Available: ONE off-street parking spot in "our" driveway, right NEXT to your door. (This complimentary parking spot I now offer is for ONE average-sized, passenger vehicle.) Also, for larger vehicles or additional cars: free, safe, easy street parking on adjacent street. The pretty street directly in front of your bungalow is a beautiful cycling city path. In addition, plenty of parking is available on the side streets, very close to your door. I provide specific instructions about exactly where to park before you arrive, so it is very easy. ! Parking in the heart of the city is a luxury! Welcome!

Other things to note
~This is a quaint, circa 1908 home within a historic district. Quiet hours start at midnight; no parties, please.
~This space is business traveler ready! High speed fibre optic internet, quiet.
~The space is perfect for one business traveler, or two associates traveling together. My business traveling guests have loved staying here.
~Families LOVE staying here because it is very spacious and there is lots to do inside the airbnb, plus at the end of the block, there is Mueller Park - playground, kiddie pool, basketball court. The Walker Sculpture garden and Mini-golf is a short walk away, too.
~The kitchen table may serve as a conference table of sorts. It is very much like a hotel in that there is everything a business traveler would need and expect, plus the comforts of home, including BUNN coffee maker.

Great Family Space
The place was a great set up for kiddos; play area, big living room, two kid sized beds, a crib, etc. Very close to coffee shops for the parents. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was top notch.

Unique and beautiful
We stayed here for 2 nights. Its an older home and we loved it!! The couch is absolutely amazing! especially since the last place I stayed in Oregon thought more about a magazine look instead of comfort. They had absolutely no comfortable seating. So yea the couch is where it was at for us :) Jane was responsive and helpful.

Cool, unique home. Jane's attention to detail is evident throughout the home. I really appreciated the notes throughout the home with instructions/tips, etc. The beds were very comfortable. The sectional sofa combined with the pool table made for a great guys weekend.

I am a self-proclaimed foodie! I can be found cooking healthy foods in my kitchen or dining around town in any new eateries I can find. I am halfway through completing an international sommelier certificate, having passed levels 1 & 2. I am a wine aficionado and collector; I have a pretty good palate and never pass up an opportunity to taste! I like flowers and floral arranging and taking photographs on my iphone of cool stuff i see on my city walks. I practice yoga as often as possible, cycle a lot (25 miles nearly daily), and walk the city lakes with my closest of friends to discuss love & life, and also with new acquaintances I want to know better. I guess you would describe me as a sporty-girl-wanna-be, who moves around a lot and sleeps very little! I like to laugh, to kiss, to hug, and to smile. My passions include my three young-adult sons, (shout-out to Luke, Jeremy, and Christian!!!) & my extended family, and my loving friends and kind neighbors. I dig my crazy job as a Gate Agent in the International Unit for Delta Air Lines at MSP, and I travel the world when time permits. I recently adopted two tiny Rat Terrier puppies, “Valentine and Buttercup,” and these little girls keep me on my toes! I grew up eating lobster, filet mignon, oysters, shrimp cocktail (my fave!) and Luigi's (my grandfather's) cheesecake in a large, Italian New York restaurant family. My artistic, belly-dancing, horticulturist mother taught me to follow Emily Post's "Etiquette" but mostly to just "Hang Loose." My B.S. Degree from Boston University is in Hotel and Food Administration and I have worked in restaurants and hotels up and down the East Coast, so I think I should be a pretty knowledgeable and industry-experienced host for you!

Why they chose this property

I bought this funky English cottage-style/chalet-feel duplex because it is in a historic district in a fabulous, uptown location - close to coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, parks, and Lake of the Isles, which I walk around daily. This house is painted BLACK and everyone knows this house when I start to talk about it. P.S. My guests LOVE the location. This property is on a cycling street and a highly-traveled pedestrian path. It is steps from anything and everything you would want to do in Uptown Minneapolis. It is safe and urban and everyone is jealous of my lifestyle! My neighbors ROCK and this is a very diverse and inclusive community.

What makes this property unique

If you want a cool location and a cozy-comfortable stay, you will not be disappointed. It is a respite in the heart of Uptown. Sit out on your back deck with a glass of vino and you will feel like you are in a treehouse, smack in the heart of the city.
