It's a nice comfortable place. The house is big and stuff well. Three queen-size beds are fantastic, it is a huge plus. Clean, quiet with an awesome view; we did not need anything more. ( the smell of wather was not nice, but it is understandable next to river)
This property was a nice surprise. Especially the master bathroom. The view of the water and convenient location close to the bike trail was a great plus. Hope to stay again in the near future.
Came for golf at TPC Deere run and it was a very nice and fun place to stay. Very clean and contact was very professional and courteous. Would stay again
Lots of potential. 3 bedrooms but only 1 couch in living room. Only 1 tv. Great view of the river. Issue with internet connection but owner was very responsive.
Very basic place to stay. Could not find eating utensils. Main shower excellent. Second shower
cold water only. Yard overgrown. Having said that
a convenient place to stay after a long day.
Communication with host prior to stay was not the best. If you want to know about surrounding areas or things to do, was told to go on line. House was clean, food left in refrigerator from previous guest. Slight musty smell but that could have been from the severe flooding. Washer and dryer provided- bring your own soap, if need to wash towels during stay. Wish there was a tv in the master bedroom. Beautiful view from backyard. A lot of wild life. We stayed during 4th of July and was happy that we were able to sit in the backyard and watch a handful of firework shows. We did have to ask to have the temperature changed daily even after owner agreed to keep it at 70 for the whole stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
House was very clean and very nice. We have stayed in many VRBO. I have a couple of concerns, if there’s more than two staying at the house, not enough seating in the living room. Also a washer/dryer would be nice. If you’re there more than a couple of days, you would like to wash clothes. But overall, it was a nice place and very cozy!!! The pictures were just like they were on the site.
The home was very good, clean and manager was helpful with check in process. I should’ve asked questions about outdoor space, as we enjoy being outside in the morning and evening. There were no patio chairs, table or grill. A relaxing view of the river would’ve been enhanced with some patio chairs and ability to cook out. Have been spoiled with other VRBO properties that provided these amenities without the need to question. But this one is on me as I didn’t ask. The house was very comfortable and nicely renovated. Enjoyed watching the wildlife on the river, even a deer.
Backyard of property could’ve been maintained better and dock was not usable for someone older. But all in all a good property.
This is the message I texted her after she hung up in my face!
You’re being very unprofessional, hanging up in my face when I’m trying to get clarity! You have a fee for cancellation but don’t send the paperwork to be filed that’s needed to access the house PASSED the time of check-in! So when I try to explain that to you and you KNOW you’re wrong you want to say I’m arguing and you will just cancel it! What you failed to realize is that I have been sitting outside of this house since 3:45 pm (waiting for my check in at 4:00 pm) blowing your phone email and customer service down to get the access information! You started to forward our calls then began to say give me a few minutes and you will send the access code! Once you realized you FAILED to send the paperwork you needed me to fill out prior to check-in you wanted to rush things! When the right thing to do would have been to compensate us or even push the check-out time back! But you were extremely rude and hung up in my face so I will be posting my review and also calling customer service about this situation! Better luck in the future!
We enjoyed seeing the bald eagles fly around and land in the trees. Spacious house. Beds and linens were clean. Unfortunately, there was a unique smell (pets from a previous owner?, sewage?, definitely something going on). It has potential to be a very nice place but just a few things keeping it from rating higher.
