The Space:
When you think of a vacation getaway in the mountains, this log cabin is exactly what you envisioned. This charming log cabin is the perfect escape for a family or friends looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The interior wood walls draw the cabin together from room to room for a cozy and true rustic feeling. The cabin is in a great location for those looking to get outside or those who love the serenity of nature. The living room has vaulted ceilings, skylights so you can soak in that Colorado Vitamin D while cozying up indoors. Kick up your feet, grab the popcorn and watch your favorite movie or tv show, in the cinema room or have some fun with our many board games provided in this cabin. Working away from the office? A bonus cell phone booster (see house rules) is provided to make sure you don’t miss those important calls! After a day of hiking Mt. Evans, rafting, biking, or fly fishing at Clear Creek, there’s nothing better than a wood-burning fireplace in the living room with a cup of cocoa or cocktail for you and your special someone as you celebrate an unforgettable Mountain Getaway.

Cook up a delicious meal in the updated and large kitchen complete with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a butler's pantry, or enjoy some hors d'oeuvres while you entertain your group at the open kitchen bar seating.

You’ll have 4 bedrooms to stretch out in including a large primary suite with a walk-in closet and a 5 piece bath along with another one and a half bathrooms.

The icing on the cake is the hot tub on the deck where you can relax, unwind and take in the surroundings after a long day of shredding fresh powder at nearby Echo Mountain or Loveland or just to finish off a relaxing evening. A 2 car heated garage is a great bonus for those chilly or winter evenings!

The neighborhood:
This Log Cabin is located in a historic area where the Colorado Gold Rush began over 150 years ago! Enjoy skiing in the winter and water rafting during the summer months. Try a hot mineral springs pool and a lap pool in a rec center a couple of miles away, visit Red Rock Amphitheater for yoga classes, rock climbing, or summer concerts under the stars.

You’ll experience Idaho Springs' historic charm with the many historic buildings in downtown Idaho Springs. There are plenty of quality restaurants in Idaho Springs, including the popular Tommyknocker Brewery and Beau Jo's Colorado Style Pizza. All are affordable, as are area lodging and unique shopping. MTN Prime is another great eatery and is located next to The Guilded Fox. In this treasured store on Miner Street, you can find a variety of mountain goods and decor, as well as 3D layered mandalas handmade by the owner to ensure a unique fit for anyone. In town is the Argo Gold Mine and Mill, where you can see what a working mill looked like and try your hand at gold panning. And not far from town is the Phoenix Gold Mine, a working mine, where you can learn about modern and historical mining techniques and do a little gold panning yourself.

After a long day of playing tourist, enjoy the hot mineral waters of the springs for which the town is named. You can stay at the Indian Springs Resort lodge or just visit the geothermal springs and caves for a fitting end to your day. Mount Evans Adjacent to Idaho Springs, due west of Denver, is Mount Evans. The road to the peak is a 14-mile ascent on the highest paved road in North America, rising to 14,200 feet above sea level. Keep on the lookout, as mountain goats often graze alongside the highway. The summit sits atop the Mount Evans Scenic and Historic Byway. The cabin is close to local attractions and activities, including skiing, snowboarding near Loveland Ski Resort.

There are plenty of exciting Summertime activities around, but a fan favorite for things to do in Idaho Springs in the summer has to be rafting. Clear Creek has some of the best rafting in the state, and Idaho Springs is home to it all. There are several great options for rafting companies to go with, and this is an activity that can be family-friendly or extreme!

Wintertime in Colorado brings many opportunities for play and adventure, as well as seasonal hazards that require consideration. AWD or 4WD capable vehicles are required from November - April for all guests. Please plan your travel accordingly.
**Wood-burning fireplace - we do not provide firewood; please plan to purchase and bring with you if you intend to use the fireplace.

Concert weekend
Nice stay for our group of 6 when we attended a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater.. Plenty of room for entertaining, well stocked kitchen. There were a ew supplies like coffee, sugar, paper towels, in stock. Nicely equipped bar. Hot tub next to the creek is a lovely touch. Newly built/furnished, tasteful decor. Disappointed in the no early check in policy. Poor vacuum job & hairball in the master shower. Advertised price was a scam as the “fees” added doubled the cost.

Beautiful house
Very nice and clean and extremely close to Blackstone river’s ranch which was great. I wish they offered an earlier check in. 4:00 is late and they weren’t flexible like I’ve experienced with other properties. The deck and hot tub are nice except for the road noise.

Perfect Mountain Getaway
Absolutely loved it. All of it. I can't say enough wonderful things. It's so close to everything yet far enough and tucked away to feel like like a true retreat from it all. The rushing creek just steps from the porch was so tranquil and beautiful. The quaint town just down the road provided so much in such a short distance. The home itself is perfectly appointed and stocked for guests' needs. We could not have been more pleased!
