Our stay at this lovely home was nothing short of perfect! The house was beautiful and had everything we needed and more. Loved the large dinning room and great room. The location was so very tranquil. Our grandkids enjoyed visiting the chickens in the backyard. The house was a true respite in between wedding events. We greatly appreciate the hosts sharing their lovely home with us would not hesitate to book again!

The host was very responsive both prior to stay with any questions and during our stay with any issues (the evening of arrival a major storm took out part of the power grid. The host came over and got a generator going so we could cook our dinner) or questions. Upon arrival the house was very clean. Property is beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

we spent 5 nights at the farmhouse with 7 adults and 3 children. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house is clean and well stocked. Everyone loved the bedrooms including the kids. We spent nights around the fire pit outside. It works great and the seating is comfortable (just remember to bring the cushions in as the host suggests otherwise they will get wet!). The property itself is private and peaceful but close enough to nearby towns for coffee shops and restaurants. There is a cool chicken house in the yard with some big chicks. Also, wild turkeys were roaming about. Really neat. We were in Connecticut for a family wedding in New Haven and it was good to be up in the country area of the state. Some of us drove up to Mystic (about a 2 hour drive) and some of us chose to take the New Haven train line to Manhattan. There are many different options for day trips and it was great to return to the quiet of the farmhouse. The host was very responsive and interactive in a good way. We really didn't have any special requests because the house if fully stocked with everything we needed. We highly recommend this house for a stay in Connecticut!

A Wonderful Place to Stay!

We had a terrific stay at this lovely and comfortable home. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway in a home in the Newtown area. Everything about our stay was great! Don’t miss a visit (or more than one!) to Ferris Acres Creamery for ice cream!

Great property!

The whole group had a great time, with plenty of space to either have a large group doing things together or for everyone to do their separate things in peace. Great location with plenty of activities close by that can accommodate all ages.

Lovely stay with family and friends

What a wonderful space to getaway from the city for a long weekend with friends! The house was incredibly spacious, clean, warm, and inviting. We especially enjoyed the patio and fire pit. We had everything we needed, plus communication was super smooth with our wonderful host. The clear directions around the house were very helpful and the property was enjoyed by all. Would absolutely return for another weekend with our friends and family-- highly recommend!
