Wailea Ekahi 33A is a beautiful, romantic, family friendly, 1,100 square-foot 1 bedroom, 2 bath condo in a magnificent, lush tropical paradise resort on spectacular Keawakapu beach. Views are of a tropical garden with partial ocean and mountain views. The condo has beautiful tropical decor and many amenities.
Many amenities make Maui Rendezvous different from other condos. Guests receive bathroom, laundry and kitchen supplies that include food in refrigerator, freezer, and panty plus spices.
Maui Rendezvous is continually being remodeled, upgraded, and decorated. There was major remodeling to the kitchen and both bathrooms. The master bath has a 2 person soaking bath tub. There is tropical furniture in the bedroom, living room, and dining area. Remote control inside wall mounted air conditioning was installed. Tile floors were added throughout the condo. Ceiling sound reducing channels and ceiling molding were installed. A king Select Comfort Sleep Number Bed was added to enable guests to dial firmness or softness. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and a quartz counter and an indoor smokeless grill to replace BBQs not allowed by law.
Housekeeping is included before arrival and upon departure. We provide free wireless internet for your computer. Free parking is close to the condo but out of sight. There is a safe for valuables. Maui Rendezvous has individual check-in and check-out times. If your flight arrives early or departs late, we will endeavor to provide complimentary early check-in and/or late check-out if needed depending upon the flight schedules of guests who may be checking in or out on the same days.
Maui Rendezvous sleeps two in a king-size Sleep Number bed where you control the firmness. Three additional guests can be accommodated on a new queen sofa bed or 2 twin-size beds in the sectional. The second bath includes a dressing area with closet and dresser that is separate from the toilet/tub/shower. There is a small futon for young children, a play yard for babies to sleep, a chair mount high chair, and a lightweight stroller.
There are two bathrooms. The master bathroom includes a closet and vanity that is separate from the toilet, step in shower, and two person soaking tub. The second bathroom has a closet, dresser, and vanity in the dressing area. The toilet and tub/shower are in a separate room. If there are only two persons, the second bath enables each person to have their own bathroom.
This downstairs corner unit is in a two-story/six-unit building. Gentle trade winds, cross ventilation, downstairs location, trees, and vegetation keep the condo comfortable. There are ceiling fans and remote control wall mounted air conditioning in the living room and bedroom. The compressor is outside.
Maui Rendezvous is supplied with paper, bathroom, laundry, and cleaning supplies. There are basic cooking supplies as well as spices and food in the refrigerator and freezer and pantry. This makes Maui Rendezvous unique, special, and different from other condos. The kitchen includes sets of dishes, stemware, and cookware as well as small appliances. Major appliances are stainless steel. Seating is comfortable for 5 persons in the condo living room, at the dining table, or on the lanai. There is a baby/toddler high chair that attaches to a regular chair. Our condo also has snorkel gear, boogie boards, floats, umbrella, beach chairs, a wagon to take gear to the beach, an outdoor shower for sand, as well as beach toys and games.
Maui Rendezvous is in Ekahi, a privately owned condo resort in beautiful Wailea, Maui, Hawaii. Ekahi is a no smoking resort. Ekahi is in a tropical garden of 2 story condos adjacent to Keawakapu beach. The beach is white sand for swimming and a lava flow for snorkeling. It is also the beginning of a beach walk between the water and the hotels and other properties. Wailea is in the sunny (but not hot) south part of Maui where it rains very little and there is always a tropical breeze to keep you comfortable. Wailea is a planned community so it is beautiful and uncrowded. There are three world class golf courses, a tennis center, shopping, and restaurants.

Great stay, the location could not be better. Just a short walk to the beach and pool, with other pools located around the property. In a great location on Maui close to multiple beaches, restaurants and resorts, groceries/shops, and easy access to the airport. The condo itself was very comfortable, well-supplied, air conditioning kept it cool at night. Would absolutely stay here if in Maui again.

Could not have had a better time at this condo and complex. The beach was amazing and the pool was refreshing and the sunsets made this trip the most enjoyable and beautiful experience my sons and I have had vacationing together. We highly recommend staying at this location for as long as you can. It will always go by too fast!

Great Location

I rented this condo for my son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons. The place was perfect for them....It was well stocked, the washer and dryer were very handy, and the location to the beach was amazing. Also, this condo is within walking distance to the nearby Shops at Wailea.

Wonderful Stay at Maui Rondevoux

My wife and I spent the better part of March ‘22 in this wonderful condo. All in all a pleasantly comfortable place. We felt right at home. No bug problem for us. The kitchen has been renovated with beautiful granite counters and comes well equipped with every thing you can think of. We cooked in the unit frequently and also made use of the outdoor grills. Many enjoyable meals on the lanai. I really appreciated the Sleep Number bed in the master bedroom. Very comfortable. The pullout couch in the living room is a bit worn and the foam pad mattress thin. It was used for a few nights by overlapping adult family members. We further supplemented the foam with the two futons that also come with the unit making it much more comfortable. The pullout would probably be just fine for a couple of young kids or short term for adults. We didn’t have to use the air conditioners a great deal. One in the bedroom and one in the living room worked very well when needed to cool things off. You cannot beat this location. Wonderful grounds, pools and beach access. The condo was clean, well organized and comes with everything you need for a stay at Ekahi. Barbara (the owner) and her local crew were responsive, accommodating and very easy to work with. We are looking forward to returning next year. John and Cathy

Amazing 5-star rental!!!

We just returned from a 3-week stay at Barbara’s wonderful home in Maui. I don’t know where to begin - Maui Rendezvous is just amazing. From the minute we landed in Maui, Barbara was in communication with us, ensuring that we were settled and had everything we needed. The condo is in excellent condition and had everything we could have imagined to make our family holiday perfect. Everything from spices to extra pillows and bedding were provided and made every aspect of our stay so special. Ekahi is an exceptional property with many pools, gorgeous gardens and easy private access to the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen. My kids enjoyed the beach and pool every day, and Barbara had even provided the beach chairs, noodles, buckets and toys for them to enjoy. Wailea is a fantastic neighbourhood with amazing offerings of restaurants, art and shopping. We enjoyed the beach walk to the various hotels, and the proximity to the Shops where we’d often end up for ice cream! Everything is within walking distance. My husband and I both had to work while we were away, and the condo has excellent Wifi which made it so easy. We had the best experience at Maui Rendezvous and can’t wait to return!

South Maui Paradise

What a great property and location! So close to the beach, 3 pools (at least) and easy to drive in and out of. VERY well stocked with equipment for fun in the sun or cooking great meals. We had an awesome time! Highly recommend--we had stayed in another unit at the Wailea Ekahi and definitely prefer this one!!!

Extremely dissapointed

Let me start off by saying that we have stayed in Ekahi multiple times over the years and this condo was the worst by far . . . the pictures are truly deceiving. 2 dead large cockroaches in the kitchen and a awful musty smell (which never subsided) when we first entered. When getting settled in we noticed notes for literally "everything" in the unit on how to use it, to make sure it is replaced exactly as it was set and warnings/threats of losing your deposit if not done exactly right. The entire unit was almost completely original (like walking into a 1960s condo) down to the old crystal glasses and worn colored plastic plates in the cabinets. We had no options to change our accommodations due to it being Spring Break or we would have immediately left. The units location is good, but that is all I can say that is positive about it. Truly dissapointed and hope this will help someone else. We should have paid more attention to the other reviews that said the same as we have mentioned here.

I was bitten by bugs during the night and checked out the next morning. The owner agreed to refund and I’m still waiting. The couch is 30 years old broken down and dusty. The place has a musty smell. The bed was stained and the pull out bed had 2 inches of Styrofoam over really harsh springs. The owner continue to ask questions with an underlying assumption that I was lying about the bugs. I have a video of the bugs and a picture of the bloody bites.

Staying at a vacation rental place like your home

This place is perfect for a whole family either with small kid or adults and it has every single little thing you need for cooking and summer fun activities as described on the website. Since it is located in very quiet neighborhood, also you can enjoy your time without being disturbed by any noise. The landscape outside is well maintained and it is very nice through the windows. The only drawback we had while staying there was a rusty metal dish rack, some kitchen utensils with chips, and a kitchen window with water stains I had to clean myself in order to enjoy beautiful landscape while doing dishes. I don’t expect everything perfectly maintained but I hope these needs to be replaced for the next guests. Other than that everything was great, and we really enjoyed our getaway from our work and came back with wonderful memories. Thank you!

Great condo and location

This condo had everything we needed, and the two bathrooms were great! We had such fun playing cards at the two dining tables, indoor and outdoor. The location near the pools and beach was amazing. We love Mokapu and Keawakapu beaches. Sunsets were beautiful, the area was quiet, and the grounds were gorgeous. Filtered water from the fridge was a plus; wifi worked perfectly. The condo had plenty of supplies, and there were lots of helpful instructions posted. When we used the A/C, it was quiet and efficient.

Beautiful setting dated and a bit cluttered

Pool and beach ideal location. The home does not sleep 5. Very comfortable king bed and rickety old sleeper sofa in the main area. Far too many posted notes with instructions and threats of fines. One binder would have been sufficient. Added info on local restaurants and trash/recycling. Needs updating and decluttering. Great location for us as we wanted to be off the main road and near the ocean.

Wonderful stay

We had a fantastic time staying at Maui Rendezvous. The condo is in a lush tropical setting, within walking distance to the excellent Keawakapu Beach (which is connected to the rest of the adjacent beaches). I saw a sea turtle while snorkeling off the rocks of the beach! The condo is comfortable and well equipped with all the necessities. We saved so much money cooking in. Also, the way the condo is designed offers a balance of serene privacy and convenience to all that Wailea has to offer, at a fraction of the cost of staying at the nearby luxury hotels. Communication with the host is seamless. Barbara provides comprehensive information before arrival, and everything is well explained at the condo as well. Can’t wait to come back again!

Perfection

We had an absolutely amazing time here. The condo was just right for our family of five and we had plenty of room for our two teenage sons and 10 year old daughter. The kids slept on couch and on provided futon mattresses and my wife and I loved the sleep number bed, very comfortable. The AC in both the main room and bedroom were awesome and both bathrooms are very large and comfortable. However, the best part about this condo was the beach and location. A nice little stroll down the beautifully landscaped common area was easy and picturesque. The beach was the best! We spent every day at the beach snorkeling, boogie boarding, building sand castles, and exploring the tide pools around the rock areas. The snorkeling around the rocks was great and we saw so many cool fish. The main pool is huge and was never too crowded. The unit is so well stocked with everything you could ever want. We loved the big wagon provided so we could load up our beach stuff and not have to carry everything. We have some pretty serious sand players in our crew, so we went to the local Ace hardware one night and bought a steel spade shovel and garden trowel that we left to add to the supply. Whomever is the next guest will be ready to dig some serious holes in the sand! We can’t say enough good things about our stay. The communication was excellent throughout and everything was labeled and easy to find. Thanks so much! We’ll be back for sure.

Beautiful, private with great beach access

What a perfect little home away from home. Two private decks, two bathrooms and ample space to move around inside. The freezer had treats. There were spices in the cupboards. We had plenty of towels, beach play things and laundry supplies. My favorite was our deck with all of the birds singing and hibiscus flowers. We would come again in a heartbeat.

Why they chose this property

Maui is wonderful. Ekahi is beautiful with extensive tropical landscaping and buildings that are spread out adjoining Keawakapu beach.
The buildings are 2 story high to give an uncrowded feeling. There are 6 units in building 33. There is out of sight free parking in front of the building, close to 33A, through a landscaped courtyard.
The view from inside the living room and kitchen is of the beautiful landscaped grounds with a green belt. Our condo and large lanai have a feeling of privacy, out of sight of any other condos.
The private bedroom view also has tropical landscaping next to the lanai.
Being inside our spacious, well equipped condo provides us with a feeling of joy and happiness that we endeavor to pass on to our guests.

Maui Rendezvous is unique, special, and different. We provide spices and basic food supplies in the refrigerator, freezer, and pantry as well as dated food. The kitchen includes 3 sets of dishes, glasses and stemware as well as plastic for children. There is ample cookware to cook and bake.
We supply cleaning, bathroom, and laundry supplies.
We provide information about our condo and the area including a restaurant guide with ratings. There are notes and signs to help guests.
Barbara manages VRBO reservations and keeps in touch with the guests. She is always available to answer questions and solve problems.
