The rectory is located behind the church in Poilhes, in the oldest part of the village, just below the Canal du Midi (30 metres). It was built and renovated using fine, traditional materials—lime plaster, cut stone, and period tile flooring (early 20th century)—to blend tradition, comfort, and modernity. The rooms are spacious, and the staircases are majestic. The living area consists of two parts: a fully equipped kitchen/dining room with an oven, dishwasher, hob, range hood, large refrigerator, and separate freezer, a washing machine (15 kg), a dryer (10 kg), a microwave, a toaster, two electric coffee makers (for pods and ground coffee), an iron, a pantry, and a half-bath. The second area, the living room (with Wi-Fi and TV), welcomes you with a warm and serene atmosphere. On the ground floor, there are two beautiful master bedrooms (with an attached bathroom) featuring one 160x200 bed and another 140x190 bed. On the second floor, you’ll find two more bedrooms (one with a 160x200 bed and two with 90x190 beds), a shared bathroom, and a television. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have Wi-Fi.

A 5-minute drive away:
- The Collegiate Church of Capestang, Capestang Castle (owned by the bishops of Narbonne).
You’ll find all the local amenities you need in this village: supermarkets, a butcher shop, bakeries, pharmacies, doctors, banks, a post office, weekly markets (Wednesdays and Sundays), bars, and restaurants on the village square with various events throughout the summer....

A 10-minute drive away:
- the port of Colombiers, where you can rent boats without a licence to cruise on the Canal du Midi.
- Montady Pond, which has been dry since the 13th century (a local curiosity)
- Visit the Gallo-Roman museum “Musée des Ensérunes” on the site of an ancient Roman military camp (oppidum)
