The kids had a blast. Just be aware of jellyfish season. Still tranquil and a much needed getaway.

Glad you and the children had a blast!
Jellyfish come and jellyfish go as they please in the bay. Lots of factors contribute to their movement - seems they were near the cottage during your visit. :)
Comfortable and very nice home in a great location and neighborhood. Very responsive hosts. Kitchen well stocked. We enjoyed our stay! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
We had a very nice time at this cottage steps from the Great wicomico river! Kids enjoyed playing on the beach and fishing off the pier. Neighborhood is extremely nice and low key.
We had a lovely stay over Thanksgiving while visiting family in the area. The cottage came equipped with everything we needed. The location was so quiet and relaxing - beautiful water views where we could watch sunrise AND sunset ! A prefect retreat ! Very clean and comfortable - host gave very easy instructions for a worry free stay. We wil be back !

We loved having you and so glad you enjoyed our cottage!
We loved our stay at this charming cottage. Spent most of our weekend on the back deck looking out over the water and relaxing. Having access to kayaks was great, and the fact that there is a little beach makes launching (and swimming) easy. Kitchen had all the cooking implements we needed, and the bed was very comfortable. Communication was easy and cheerful. Looking forward to staying again!

Happy to have you at our cottage and glad you enjoyed the kayaks and beach!
If you are looking to get away from the busy life, then look no further. We found it to be a good fit for our family of three. Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary utensils, pots, and pans. Good communication with the owner/manager.

The house was clean and tidy. We packed light for 7 days knowing there was laundry on site. The dryer did not work and there was no resolution during the week after numerous messages, only a 50 credit offered. Very disappointed with the challenge presented.

I am sorry the dryer was not working to your satisfaction during your stay. As the cottage is a ways into the country, it is hard to find a repair person immediately. After contacting 5 different companies and repair persons, the soonest available was regrettably the following week. This was communicated. It was interesting that cleaning person used the washer/dryer both 2 days before their arrival and the day after on the "bulky cycle". Perhaps this cycle was not the preferred cycle. Believing the dryer was not working, a refund of $50 on top of a discount of $206.50, for a total of $256.50 credit was given right away.
This was a wonderful little cottage to stay in with my husband for a few days. It's an older place with modern updates. There is an adequate supply of various cookware and it was nice to have use of a washer and dryer. The hardwood floors throughout are gorgeous. The place is small but feels spacious and there's plenty of windows for natural light to come through. The cottage has a nice view of the water with private, easy access. If you wanted to, you have plenty of shoreline to walk out into the water and take a swim. There were some jellyfish; however, they were few and far between. We were able to fish off the dock and caught quite a few fish with live bait. We even enjoyed some night fishing under the stars, even though we didn't catch anything. I took the kayak out and enjoyed my time on the calm open waters. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

Thank you for your kind words. We are so glad you enjoyed our special spot on the water. The cottage was the original headquarters for a local lumber company. We look forward to your next visit.
Our home is our "piece of heaven" where we can get away from the hectic life of work and school/activities with our three kids. We and our golden retriever are in our happy place when we visit our cottage, play in the sand on the beach and in the water.
