About this property
The Junipero - Stunning Mid Century Masterpiece
The Junipero, built in 2012, is a real gem in the desert, a truly modern Palm Springs home. Inspired by the work of renowned ranch-style architect Cliff May, this stunning home pays homage to mid-century era design while offering modern easy living and convenience. Situated on a large corner lot, a private gated compound features spectacular views from all rooms. The home has a clean, minimalist design throughout, with sleek lines and bursts of color. Abundant Palm Springs sunshine streams in the multiple sliding glass doors, creating panoramic views out onto the pool and mountains beyond. The design brings the outdoors in and imparts a refreshing feel throughout.White porcelain tile flooring defines the Great Room space, with an open floor plan that is bathed in sunlight. The living room has a 75" TV, a comfortable low-slung couch and modern side chairs invite you to relax in style over cocktails or curl up for a cozy movie night.A free-standing vintage-style Malm fireplace adds a super-cool Jetson's vibe to the living area. (Decorative only). Original artwork ties the room together with a simple and elegant feel. A movable bar allows easy flexibility for indoor entertaining.Top-of-the-line stainless appliances and custom cabinetry enhance the smartly designed and open kitchen. You'll find all of the necessary cookware and utensils to prepare a gourmet meal for your family and friends. For pool use, plenty of colorful plastic dishes and cups are available. The master suite looks out onto the pool and patio through the glass doors, with a back-drop view of the mountains, all visible from the King bed. This room has abundant closet and drawer space. The en suite master bathroom sports a tiled walk-in shower and is accented with colorful art work. The main guest bedroom is on the opposite side of the home, offering privacy and plenty of space for all. This bedroom also has a California King sized bed, flat panel TV, abundant closet and drawer space, and attached bathroom with walk-in tiled shower. The glass slider affords gorgeous views toward the pool and mountains to the east. Black-out window shades in both bedrooms may be lowered for added privacy and repose.A third bedroom/office has a large glass and polished metal desk and queen-sized Murphy bed. It offers space for another couple and can function as an office with plenty of space for two. For inspiration or simple relaxation, contemplate the mountains on one side; or, on the other side, open the frosted glass door and gaze out onto the pool and patio. This bedroom/office also has its own sliding glass door that opens onto a private patio facing the mountains, an ideal spot for a morning cup of coffee. The outdoor pool area is entertainment central, with plenty of room for a crowd. The pool and patio are the first to welcome you as you walk into the front of the home, which is surrounded by a completely walled compound for privacy. The majestic San Jacinto Mountains provide a dramatic backdrop to this serene space.A large umbrella covers the outdoor dining set, a great place to enjoy your morning coffee and newspaper or to relax with an afternoon libation. The gas-powered barbecue is just outside on the patio as well, making indoor and outdoor cooking a cinch. Hang out in sling-style lounges, soak up the sun on the pool's large tanning deck, or stay cool under the in-pool umbrella while you take in the views. This home is just minutes away from downtown Palm Springs and has easy access to the I-10 freeway. Hop on the freeway and in less than a half hour you could be shopping at the humongous outlet mall in Cabazon, or getting up close and personal with wild animals at The Living Desert. This home is just what you've been looking for. Book this Palm Springs gem for your next desert getaway!
