The location is divine! Quiet tucked away neighborhood where kids can ride bikes and pets can be walked to beach! This cottage is quintessential Newport with charm galore and a perfectly maintained 1910 standalone cottage within a quick walk to Easton's Beach and the world-famous Cliff Walk! Location! Location! Grab an early morning coffee and enjoy the majestic views from the Cliff Walk or the Esplanade before heading to the beach! Quick walk to second beach too and very close to downtown Newport. Lovely area! "At Last" has the charm of old New England with modern amenities and new furnishings! This house is delightful and charming with a private yard for grilling, entertaining, pets and kids. The yard is fenced in and has a sweet garden/privacy hedge surrounding it, making it perfect for those lazy summer days and nights. Private and quiet location! Sip cocktails on the back deck which has seating for 8, while watching the kids play in the sweet, garden accented backyard. You will find both the king and queen bedrooms are on the second floor, with the bathroom located on the first. (please make note that the stairs are the steep ship stairs- aware with young children and older adults). The king-sized bedroom is large and sunlit and there is enough room to set up and air mattress if needed for kids or guests. You will find a smart TV also located in the king-sized bedroom. The queen size bedroom is charming and delightful. Both bedrooms have new mattresses (which we have received many compliments on) and furnishings. You will find the cottage fully stocked with beach chairs, towels, gas grill, wine glasses, and two TV's with Fire stick remotes. (One TV in the large bedroom and the second is located in the living room). The sofa is a queen pull-out (please bring sheets if you plan to use) for an overnight guest or 2. We are dog friendly with a pre-approval. Laundry and AC! Unbeatable location! Divine cottage! Parking for 3 cars, or more depending on their size. Come spend a week at "At Last"! Very close to the activities in downtown Newport too. Will consider monthly rentals during winter season, just ask for pricing! We have had many parents of St. George's and Salve book for sports season to come and enjoy their kids competing! Ask for winter pricing! Truely a lovely and quiet place that will not disappoint! PETS OK, laundry and private yard with lovely garden. Many repeat guests who rave about this place!! Come enjoy!

Love Newport/Middletown

Great location. Two suggestions 1) Mattress in sofa bed should be replaced. It is very uncomfortable. 2) Stairs are dangerously steep and need needs either a center railing or a rope center guide down the middle (which could give the steps a quaint, nautical look.) All in all, it was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

House was perfect for our getaway in Newport. The house was charming and clean with a nice porch and private yard. Great quiet neighborhood in Middletown, spacious driveway for parking. Thoroughly enjoyed! Would love to return!

Cute place, in great location

Wonderful stay, the beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, living room and deck area had comfy furniture. Very clean. Lots of hot water, and clean towels. Location is in walking distance of restaurants. Nice quiet neighborhood. I could live here :)

Why they chose this property

At Last is a quintessential Newport cottage with privacy, a lovely garden and a short walk to the beach and Cliff Walk. This cottage is bright, light and airy. All furnishings are new including the king and queen mattresses. The sofa is a pullout for guests and it is a queen size. Please bring bedding for it if you plan to use it. We provide fresh linens for the king and queen bedroom and a set of bath towels. There is laundry facilities in the basement, if you need. There is parking for three cars. There is a gas grill, with propane tanks which we try to keep full for our guests., occasionally, they do run out due to the gass being left on......just call for replacement. The deck can seat up to eight people. We provide dishes, silverware, glasses, basic cooking supplies, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster, microwave, iron and ironing board. The beach chairs in the basement are for guest use along with beach towels!

Waking up to the beautiful sunlight cottage, hearing the birds chirping, the smell of the sea air, all while enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck. A beautiful quaint neighborhood, quiet and peaceful. If you have kids or a dog, walking the streets to the beach is safe and easy! Cliff walk is right down the road!! There is no limit to your day. Perhaps a five-minute drive into the shops of Newport, a stroll down to Second Beach or enjoying the local eateries with friends. The neighborhood is peaceful and kids can safely ride bikes on the street. Everything about this place screams New England! Private yard with outdoor seating and lovely backyard garden.
