Why they chose this property
The Nature Immersion Glamping helps the center to support services for families and kids in our valley. The glamp tents are situated within the wildlife preserve area with a lovely view out over the meadow for wildlife watching. The atmosphere is serene and soothing. Guests can walk on the trail to the river and take a dip in the cool water. Swallows zip and dive in the morning sky over the meadow; deer graze with their fawns and Jackrabbits scamper about. Each of the four tents is furnished with mutiple beds and comfy furniture. The Kitchen/Shower building is close by, with large hot showers, clean towels, refrigerator, eating and cooking utensils, outdoor gas grill, microwave, usb port charging station for your phone or computer and coffee and snacks for mornings. Super clean and good smelling porta potties are in two easily accessible locations at the glamp site. Guests report much delight in being up close and personal with wildlife. Guests are asked to maintain a short list of guidelines before confirmation of booking to protect the wildlife preserve.
What makes this property unique
Located within the wildlife preserve, guests can have an up close and personal visit with nature and wildlife. The nature center is near the rural town of Cave Junction and the Illinois River in Southern Oregon. Guests can walk down to the river and take a dip in the swimming area, listen to the birds in the morning, view deer families and wild turkeys in the meadow and drop in at the Butterfly Pavilion and Nature Discovery Playground. At the Butterfly Pavilion there may be Monarchs, Painted Ladies, Buckeyes, Red Admirals or Cabbage Whites. There is also The living Soil Eco-system interactive wall, The Living Forest Eco-system wall, a carnivorous plant exhibit, bunnies, Water Cycle Interactive play station, Animal Tracks game and a gift shop. In the glamp site, tents are fully furnished, most with extra beds. Kitchen has a frig, microwave and outside grill. A very relaxing and refreshing location!
