Great location, but not worth the money
We have stayed up and down Pelican Glide and across the street for 7 years. We love the location and the private beach access. This house is very nice when you first walk in. All the bones are there; spacious, and clean, and a wonderful backyard and pool. This is the most expensive property (by a significant amount) that we have rented, either in Seacrest or in the world. Again, we were satisfied with the space and the location. However, for the price, we expected amenities/services that we often enjoy at other rentals. There were no spices, 4 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels, 2 dishwasher pods, and no hand soap. The pots/pans/cooking utensils have seen better days. I had to repair the only frying pan and the non-stick surface was peeling. There were no spatulas, including one for the grill.
From a physical plant standpoint. The outside hood over the grill does not work, light or fan. The freezer drawer doesn't open or close well and thus is full of frost. When we arrived, the refrigerator was set to the lowest temperature and froze our fresh fruits/vegetables overnight. The dryer did not work on arrival (they knew it) and did not get replaced until Tuesday and then only after changing the tone of my texts from passive to active. They need an area in the front to rinse off the sand and floor mats at the doors. The door alarms need repair.
I am allowed 1500 characters or I would go on.
In short. Did not meet expectations, but it could with intentional updates.
