Staying right on the beach is the only way to really enjoy why you came to Destin... for the beach! This home had everything you could want. AND the umbrellas and chairs that are part of the package are beyond convenient... they really made the simple walk to the water even more effortless. No wagons, last minute trips to Wal-Mart for chairs etc. Just yell to the others "Ill be at the beach" and 20 seconds later I was! So close to Alvins Island and Pompano Joes, this is our favorite location. Even better than 30A!!! So much to do and the private beach is pretty much to yourselves. CANT WAIT TO COME BACK!!

Excellent location on beach!

The property is RIGHT on the beach which was awesome. The owner rented chairs and umbrellas for us everyday on the beach which was wonderful and she was very quick to respond when we called with a question. The experience overall was great!!! We would stay here again. Note!!!! YOUNG KIDS— We didn’t realize the downstairs area is not accessible from inside the property. We planned to have our kids sleep downstairs but when we arrived we realized the bunk room is only accessed by going outside and down the deck stairs. Our kids are 7 & 9 years and we would not let them sleep down there alone until our friends came a few days later. If you have older kids, it’s no issue at all and it’s nice that there is a separate space. Just be aware when booking with young kids. A couple of bummers— we arrived early hoping for early check-in but were disappointed when the property wasn’t even ready by 4pm check-in. We had to wait until about 4:40pm. The house was clean, but I suppose the party before ours had a lot of hair, which was found throughout (but I understand that’s hard to clean sometimes.) Also, there was a dehumidifier that leaked downstairs. Luckily we didn’t have bags or personal items on the floor and nothing was ruined. The owner was quick to respond and a maintenance guy eventually came and replaced it. Overall, those things were minor and the stay was great!

Beach at your feet

Loved that we could walk right out to the beach or sit in the deck and enjoy the view and sound of the waves. The owner was extremely easy to communicate with ! Loved our time here.

Guest arrived, spent the night and was dissatisfied with the bottom floor. They requested a discount or a full refund. I graciously gave them a full refund even though they spent one night. Precious guest had left wine and cheese in refrigerator, cleaning lady found a pair of sunglasses and left them on counter, and they said bed downstairs squeaked.
