About the host
Hosted by Marie Duckworth
Hi. After 20 years away from Wisconsin we are enjoying being back in beautiful Wausau. We have hosted dozens of guests in our historic house and always love meeting new people. As frequent travelers ourselves we are keen to make your experience in Wausau memorable.
Why they chose this property
Wisconsin Historical Society records indicate the Manson House was built in 1897. The
Manson House was built in a time and manner where quality craftsmanship mattered. To
this day it retains much of its old world charm. The home was built for John and Helen
Manson. John was the son of early founders of Wausau and Helen was likewise the
daughter of the prominent Stewart Family. John Manson was elected Mayor of Wausau
in 1898. As you drive down
