We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is an ideal location to stay if your plans are to hike the Amicalola Falls State Park. The property was clean and spacious. The lake was beautiful to wake up to and to boat around on. The real prize of the property was the Property Manager, Jackie, who made every effort to enhance our stay with recommendations, assistance with dining in town and timely responsiveness. Thanks, Jackie!
This stay was the best we’ve ever had. Not only was the house in perfect condition, the host was very accommodating and communicated well. Will stay again!
The house was beautiful. It was just like the pictures, only suggestion is the property sits so far from the street and there isn’t enough lights around the property at night. Looks like your apart of a horror movie if you arrive at night.
The view was beautiful and the property manager was quick to communicate. We did have a bulldozer working 5 of the 6 days we were there interrupting our time outside. The pictures exercise room was non existent and most of the games in the game room did not work. The house was spacious for all our family and beds very comfortable. We had a great time but would need a lower price to book again.
AMAZING!!!!!
I would rate it 6 stars if possible!!!
the host is so really tremendously kind and lovely and helpful!!!
Jacqueline together with Charles are doing a massive work with their care and devotion- never saw like this in the past! they're here for you for whatever you need, whenever you need, and for what reason you need!
if you have anytime a thought of "the lake house"- don't hesitate! just grab it! it's worth even to fly couple of hours. (like we did with an entire group of teenagers, and it was worth it!!!)
We had a great stay for the extended weekend. Our kids loved the pool and exploring the property. Waking up with a coffee on the back deck is a great way to start the day. Look forward to going back soon with the family.
This is the 4th year that I have selected a home like this for 8 of my friends and I to get together for a girls weekend. This house was by far the best one we’ve been to yet. Not only are the accommodations great but the grounds are pristine. The lake behind the house and the mountains beyond the lake are gorgeous not to mention the fact that there’s a pool and a hot tub on the property. While we didn’t have any complaints, Jacqueline the property manager, is the kind of person who would have responded immediately. She checked with me periodically to make sure that things were going well and that we did not need anything. My friends and I decided that if we do our girls trip next year we’re going right back to that house.
The house was plenty big enough for our family of 16. A railing up the front steps is needed. We had 2 seniors with walking problems and the steps are very dangerous.

Not happy with the shape of the house
The house was not in great condition. Multiple leaks throughout the house. Spiders and Spiderwebs everywhere inside and out. Smelled a little funky in areas like they had cats there.
The game room was a mix of broken games and just really old equipment. Everything was broken or falling apart.
Pool balls were a mix of 3 sets of pool balls you have to sort through to find the balls you need.
The worst part about it is that they do not supply you with any sundries whatsoever. Hand soap? no shampoo? No. Nothing. Dishwasher detergent? Laundry detergent? No and no.
They only leave you with one small roll of toilet paper.
And one trash bag. You have to bring everything yourself or go get it from the nearest Walmart which is about 20 minutes away each way.
I've been to dozens of vacation rentals and never had this experience. Then there is a hefty cleaning fee but you have to clean the dishes and put the towels to wash with your own laundry detergent.
It does have a nice view but definitely needs a lot of TLC and updating. The pictures are a little misleading, in my opinion.
This was a beautiful home! Upon arrival we were all taken back by the home and its scenery. Jackie was a very nice host and responded very quickly to all my messages. She greeted us at the house after we arrived to make sure we were pleased with everything. I messaged her before coming to make sure we brought any necessary paper products or disposable items. She was very helpful and gave us a clear list of what we needed. I loved paddling around the lake and enjoying the great weather. The house more than accommodated all of us. We cooked everyday and night, the kitchen had a lot to offer for our cooking needs. I would love to come back and spend more time in the sun and water with friends/family. Thank you so much, Jackie! This was an amazing home.
Sweet times with our family.
I was a bit disappointed that we had to purchase supplies such as toilet paper, kitchen cloths and towels, trash bags , laundry products, etc. When renting place for 24 people, one would expect better preparation for their clients.
I would also recommend that the front entrance have railing to prevent injuries to those entering the steps at the front entrance. Handicapped access would be wonderful.
The location was beautiful. Property had several maintenance issues when we arrived. Carpets were needing cleaning. Deck and stairs needed reinforcing. Drawer handle missing screw, patio door did not lock. Two of the refrigerators were pretty old. One bedroom had the bed on the floor (no frame). Loose stones on front steps. Dryer was not working, but they did replace the dryer after a few days. One portion of the "spa" shower in the master had an "out of order" sign. Carpet in dining room had tape spots at corners.

great host but property needs a lot of tlc
this place could be the best thing ever, but it needs a lot of tlc ... the views and the pool by far are the best features of the house
Taking our crew on annual trips mean we have experienced many different homes. This year was hands down the BEST!
We couldn’t have picked a better place.
This house has so much space that our group of 14 had their own area. (Important for teenagers)
The game room was incredible and kept the crew entertained during a rainy day.
The setting - wow! The pics do not do it justice!
Total seclusion with the backdrop of mountains and private lake. Fishing and kayaking were huge hit.
Most importantly for any stay- Jackie and Charles were amazing hosts!!!! She even thought of the grands leaving them a much appreciated surprise. Thanks you two - we will definitely be back!
My fiance and I were getting married at a near by venue in Dahlonega and rented this property for us and our wedding party to stay in for the weekend. This property was so beautiful and amazing. Check-in process was easy. I cannot stress enough just how fabulous this house is. With 15 people trying to get ready for a wedding no one had to wait on showers or bathrooms. Tons of towels, blankets, and pillows. There was not one spot in the house that was lacking anything and anywhere you went in the house had an amazing view. After the wedding was over it was so nice to be able to sit and soak in all the nature and mountain views. The game room was awesome. Everyone loved being able to use the poker table, billards table, and foosball. The hot tub with the mountain view had to be my favorite. We had planned on going to the Gold Rush Festival in downtown Dahlonega the day after the wedding and had reservations at a nice restaurant. However, we all decided to just stay at the property and grill out because no one wanted to leave! Jacqueline was so friendly and anytime we needed anything she was so quick to respond. Even helped us find a near by place that sold fire wood so we didn't have to drive too far. Never had a property contact for a VRBO that was so helpful. I felt so lucky to have found this property it made my wedding weekend like a fairytale.

Disappointed
The property was in a great location out in the country on a lake for a family reunion, but very disappointed with having to deal with the constant problem of ants, fruit flies and houseflies in the kitchen. The master bedroom was missing window coverings, so had concerns for privacy.
The outside of the house needed alot of maintenance, as the property was run down and overgrown with weeds -
the back deck had many rotten steps, handrails, and broken deck gates, causing safety concerns for the very young and elderly family members.
