Hugo's Hideaway - 6 Minute Walk to the Beach - HOT TUB

As an elementary school Principal, I know how valuable vacations are! Look no further than this freshly renovated sparkling clean coastal cottage, as it is the perfect getaway for you and your family! Our location is one of the absolute best walkable areas on the main island as you can safely walk to the beach, coffee shops, and restaurants with one of the few stoplights for safe crossing. Great indoor and outdoor spaces for activities, relaxation, and quality time with family and friends!

We are a very short 6 min walk to the ocean. We have multiple Smart TV's with internet access, propane grills, outdoor and indoor dining, a grill and bar area for when it rains, multiple balconies and sitting areas, a beautiful hot tub, and a large fully fenced in backyard. We hope our guests enjoy their time in OBX and make unforgettable memories!

Ground Level: Under the carport is a grill, bar, hot tub, and outdoor shower. Then, you will walk right into our game room consisting of a foosball table and new washer and dryer are also located here.

First Level: Living/Dining/Kitchen, 1 Full Bath, 1 King Bedroom, attached deck with outdoor dining, seating, and grilling.

Second Level: Open-air Entertainment Space with couch and TV, Bunkroom with 4 Twin Beds, and another bedroom with 1 Queen Bed with access to a private deck, 1 Full Jack and Jill style Bath.

NOTE: The gas fireplace has been disconnected and is not available for guest use. This is a safety measure for us and our guests. Please consider the backyard firepit.

Very clean, spacious

We had a great stay. The property was clean, was within minutes to the beach (walking) and everything as stated in the listing. Our only recommendation for the owners is to add some food storage containers. One of our reasons for using a VRBO is that we can prepare some of our own food while on vacation. Would stay again!

Nice OBX location

The house was a nice short walk to the beach but the fence had many gaps and would not contain our small dog. We were not able to utilize the back yard. Grass had not been cut for a very long time when we arrived and was very very tall.

Perfect location & space for family vacation

We had a great stay at the property! It is walking distance to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the fire pit and hammocks as well!

1st time in OBX

Hugo’s hideaway was an amazing cottage to experience the Outer Banks for the first time. We enjoyed the comfort of home, nighttime fires and soaks in the hot tub. We did have to drive to the beach because we don’t travel light for the day at the ocean. Overall we had a great vacation!

Our location is one of the absolute best walkable areas on the main island as you can safely walk to the beach, coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, and more. In addition, this neighborhood has one of the few stoplights, allowing for safe crossing to the beach.

Why they chose this property

This is such a cute house with an unbelievably central location! You really can't beat this street, the neighbors, or the fact that you can go back and forth from the beach to the house for drinks, snacks, and more sunscreen! The hot tub, fenced in yard, and firepit with deck overlooking makes this ideal for family fun!

What makes this property unique

This home has indoor and outdoor spaces for gathering! Whether it be relaxing in the hot tub and grilling or playing games in the backyard. The close walk to the beach is great and the beach cart has everything you need in it ready to go!
