Four miles south of Grayling with spacious parking, fenced backyard with screened patio, covered porch and small fenced patio in front to watch the sunsets.

Across the road is historic Wellington Farm Park and there is also nearby access to snowmobile and off-road trails, cross-country and downhill skiing, nearby lakes and rivers for seasonal fishing, canoeing, kayaking and other water sports. Other outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, and disc golf are also close by.

Major travel routes within a few miles make this a great central location for fun and exploration in Northern Michigan. I75, US127, and M72

Excellent place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was in a nice location outside of town but not too far from anything. Very clean and spacious. It had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Higgins Lake Vacation

We had a great time staying here. Everything was perfect, and clean. Wonderful rental and so close to the state park. And our kids loved saying good morning & good night to the horses on the property each day!!

We went with our family for a little getaway. The place was great and very clean. The host was very friendly and it was close to a lot of local attractions. If we come back we would definitely stay again!

Three generations hunting together

We had a great stay. My sons and I with my dad enjoying time in the woods greatly appreciated the comfy chairs and beds to come home and get recharged for another day. Great property and an even better host.

Great House!

We love bringing our boat to Higgins Lake and this rental has been a repeat for us! It’s the perfect space to stay and ample space. We usually stay with 4 adults and 4 kids total, and it’s perfect!

Quiet and cozy

We stayed for a mother daughter canoe trip and had a blast. The pictures don't do this place justice. It was very cozy, nice screened in porch, and quiet.

Great place!

Loved this house! It was very clean & well stocked. Chris was easy to get in touch with & made sure everything was good for our stay. He emptied our trash, shoveled the walkways & even left us a nice little welcome treat. Would definitely stay again & highly recommend.

Great place for family overflow

We have family in the area but needed more space and this property filled all our needs. Plus, it was great to get away from the rest of the crowd. If you know the area, this is very convenient to anything within an hour away, even Boyne Mountain, Gaylord, Traverse City and, of course, Higgins Lake and Houghton Lake

Great place to stay

Location was perfect for our fly fishing trips. House was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch watching the sun sets. Would recommend this listing to other travelers. Chris was very responsive to our questions. We appreciate the owners making the house available to us.

We stayed for 2 nights to enjoy a weekend on Higgins Lake. We had 2 families including small children and fit comfortably. The house was very clean and setup well for an easy and comfortable stay. There is a nice screened in deck in the back and a fenced in yard. The host communicated very well. I would definitely recommend this property.

Home away from home

Went up for my brother's wedding and rented this home. It was the perfect setup for me and my family. My husband and I had our 2 adult daughters and our 2 granddaughters with us. We didnt spend much time at the home but the time we did was amazing! So peaceful and relaxing. I will definitely look at staying here again if our travels take us back to Grayling area!
