Welcome to our hillside villa in historic Mariposa, the gateway to Yosemite National Park! Perfect for families and groups, this spacious retreat accommodates up to 8 guests with stunning mountain views, an expansive deck for entertaining, and a fun-filled game room.



Enjoy the beauty of the Sierra foothills while being just 45 minutes from Yosemite National Park and Bass Lake, and only minutes from Mariposa’s charming shops, art galleries, and dining.

  • Main Level (Upstairs): Cozy great room with sweeping valley views, eat-in kitchen, and direct access to the expansive deck. The main level includes a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet (sleeps 2), a second bedroom (sleeps 2), and an office with a shared hall bath.







  • Lower Level (Downstairs): Family bedroom with ensuite bathroom (sleeps 4), laundry room, and a game room stocked with pool, foosball, air hockey, board games, books, and more.







Outdoor Living



Relax or entertain on the large deck overlooking Bootjack Valley. This inviting outdoor space is perfect for morning coffee, an evening glass of wine, stargazing, or simply soaking in the panoramic Sierra views.



Parking & Access



The driveway provides 5 uncovered parking spaces. Entry is easy with a personalized keypad code at the main front door on the upper level. For added security, the property is equipped with exterior cameras.

We are Brian and Jennifer Johnson, both originally from the Central Valley of California. However, we have built our lives in Silicon Valley because of the nature of Brian’s work. Brian is a VP of Engineering for an online health insurance company, and Jennifer is a Special Education Teacher for middle schoolers. We are avid travelers and love to visit and explore new cities and countries. Our recent passion has been exploring the beautiful locations in California since the pandemic has limited our ability to go farther.

We have been searching for the perfect retreat to get away from our busy lives in San Jose to the serene mountain atmosphere of Mariposa, and we knew we had found it in this home. Villa Alta Vista is the place our family needs to be able to stretch and breathe, and we look forward to offering that same serenity to our guests, too.
