Located just across the street from Magic Sands beach, along the iconic Alii Drive, this new partly renovated 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo has all the amenities you could need! Desk for zoom calls, central AC, Smart TV, high-speed internet, mountain views, and more!Conveniently located across the street from Magics Beach Grill, you are a short stroll away from some of the best food and drink on the Kona coast. Whether you are looking for a morning cup of Kona coffee at Magics Beach Shack, or an inspired meal made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients for lunch or dinner, there is something for everybody moments away from your doorstep.Upon entering unit 221, you will see the bedrooms on each side. To the right is the primary bedroom that features a lovely ensuite, a brand-new queen bed, and a relaxing bathroom and shower. The guest bedroom has a new queen bed and plenty of room to relax. The guest’s bathroom is located in the hallway for convenience. From the bedrooms to the living area, you will enjoy the Hawaii décor and open space. The kitchen, dining room, and living area are open to one another.The kitchen has new upgraded appliances and beautiful wood counters. It is fully equipped with all the gadgets one needs to dine in. It opens up to a dining area with a dining table. Enjoy dining inside or sit out on your lanai and listen to the waves crash. You can spend your afternoons relaxing on the couch and streaming some Netflix on the smart TV or work from Hawaii at the workstation. Soak up the central AC or open the lanai doors and feel the nice Hawaii breeze.Please note: There are a few steps up to the elevator to take you up from the ground floor to the second floor, making it not fully accessible for those with disabilities. While we also welcome children, the lanai is not childproof. This home has central AC.***At this time the tennis courts located within the complex are not usable as they were undergoing renovation and the work had to be stopped to research possible archeological impacts of the project. We are sorry for any inconvenience.*****The Hawai'i County Department of Parks and Recreation closed La'aloa Beach Park (the closed parking lot including the cultural sites along the water that are across from the Keauhou Bldg driveway). The south end of Magic Sands Beach Park is also closed for construction improvements. Both projects will run concurrently and are expected to be completed in approximately 7-8 months. The beach portion of the park remains open and Water Safety Officers of the Hawai?i Fire Department continue their oversight of ocean activities there.While we strive to keep all photos up to date, there may be new and updated pieces of furniture or décor that are different than in the original pictures. Wonderful condo

Great condo in a great centralized location. We enjoyed the space for our family of 5, cleanliness and the amenities. The pool and pool table was fun and having the beach right across the street was great. There were beach towels and coolers and beach gear to use also.

This condo is dark & uncomfortable. It is managed by Coldwell Banker Island Vacations, who didn't respond to my concerns until our last day there. We left early because we slept so poorly on the foam pad they offered as a mattress in the master bedroom. The shower in the master bath was a joke. You can't open the shades in either bedroom because they look right out on the hall where neighbors are walking by. The living and dining room furniture is not at all comfortable, so our family wasn't able to enjoy time in the evenings together. The condo association has 20 pages of rules. You have to sign up to use the barbeque grill, & only one of the three was operational. The chlorine smell from the pool was so strong we never attempted to enter it. The only reason I gave this two stars instead of one is because it has a good location across the road from magic sands beach, and things were in working order.

We had a great stay! Clean and well maintained property. I do wish there were a spare set of sheets for the pull out couch bed, but we were able to use a blanket on top of the mattress. Thank you so much again! Would definitely rrcommend

Big Island Vacation

I really enjoyed that this place had beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, coolers, snorkel gear, and other items you wouldn't have room to pack in luggage and came in REALLY handy. Used the BBQ once, but the stove multiple times to save money on food. I also really love that dry and canned goods left behind will be donated!

Great Location & Property

The property was great with a pool, hot tub, pool tables, remodeled unit and the beach across the street. We all had an amazing stay and the property managers contact back asap when you reach out. The lrimary bedroom did have a comprimised TV and the 2nd bedroom bed wasnt extremely comforable but other than that the unit was equipped eith everything needed for the beach, snorkling, kitchen items, bath items, etc. Overall, if I wanted to stay by Magic Sands again on my next trip back I would stay at this location. Thank you for an enjoyable vacation stay!

The complex is literally right across from the beach, and even when the beach was closed (shark siting and tropical storm warnings) there is a nice pool as well. The unit was really well appointed, with everything we needed. Communication here was also great with the owner and manager. The only downside to our stay here, and it's specific to our stay and unlikely others - was that the dryer wasn't working and they were waiting on a part to fix it. We'd banked on having that, though it all worked out. And again - the communication was outstanding.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was promised to be fully remodeled with air conditioning. And at $440 a night I had high hopes. But they were dashed as we arrived with a rusty screen door and inside a very dirty hallway rug that was curled up at the end, and very dangerous to walk over. The air conditioning did not work as promised my heart, and made it very difficult for us to sleep at night as we are not used to the heat and humidity of Hawaii. This is the fourth unit I’ve stayed at in the White Sands complex, and each unit had its own disappointments. In addition, the beach across the street which we had planned on visiting every day had major construction, and all the sand was gone. There was no swimming. We should have been given an option to cancel under these circumstances.

The location is really good and the complex was great for the family....pool...pool table...grills...nice people. I mean it's Hawaii, it is hard to be unhappy there. It was SUPER nice that the place was stocked with things such as shampoo, soap, body wash etc..because we had a mix up with our package of toiletries which were not there when we arrived so not having to go out and buy that stuff knowing we would have it in 2 days was an awesome help. I only wish the place had a vacuum because we were there for so long and I liked to keep it clean but with 2 kids....sand is inevitable.I was told I could pay for a cleaning which I turned down. But all of this information was disclosed on the website, so it was nothing I was upset about, I just wanted to help keep the place clean for the owners. (I used to have a rental so I wanted to be respectful) Overall we had an amazing stay and there are zero complaints! The staff got back to me right away when I had a question, the condo is well stocked! We grilled so much by the pool, cooked in the kitchen...there were perfect to-go cups for our fruity beverages...there were spices...all the small things that add up greatly if we would have had to go out and buy. It was great, I miss it already.

Definitely listen to the warning about not leaving food out on the counter because there are tiny little bugs that will immediately invade it. We kept just about everything in the refrigerator or freezer and were fine after that first morning surprise :) The pool was great, we loved the location right across from the beach and the complex overall was pretty quiet. Would return!

It is the perfect location for easy access to Magic Sands Beach, the town of Kailua Kona, and all the other sights to see on the Big Island. We picked up fresh fish to barbeque downstairs, steaks from the local market and incredible fresh fruits. The one thing we wish we would have known about ahead of time is the guided narration app, "Shaka Guide". We ended up driving over 1300 miles during our 2 weeks and would have been nice to have some local knowledge along the way. Overall I would come back to this condo anytime!

Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here but were constantly on the go so we did not spend a ton of time here but when here everything was basically good and served our needs. The best part is the location across from a pretty beach and not far to town or the Captain Cook area which we enjoyed. The amenities were nice. Beds could be a little softer but knew this from other reviews however we were so tired every nite that this was not a major issue. Could use a bit more drinking glassware. Dryer broke but was fixed within a day and quick response from property management.Having a pool, hot tub (though jets were not working when we were there),sauna, and billiards pool on premises were nice to have. Also took advantage of the nice bbqs. Overall, a very good stay and value.

Good place for family

The condo is very clean, easy to access and good parking. There aren't any big cons--except watch for pulling into the parking area if you have a low clearance car the elevation from the street will scrape the bottom of your car. We loved the area--very quiet and it felt private--even in the pool area. A solid recommendation.

Wonderful base for girls trip!

Clean & comfortable with a great pool. Across the street from a nice beach and awesome sunsets. With a car, it’s a great location for day trips to see the island. We’d definitely rent this condo again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit worked well for the 5 of us. It was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The property manager was very responsive when we needed something (they had forgotten to leave linens for the sofa bed, nothing serious). Our only issue was that the regular beds were very hard. My nephew said the sofa bed was super comfortable and the mattress on it appeared to be brand new. We would recommend the manager consider mattress toppers for both queen beds. I’m 53 and my mom is 78, and the extra firm mattresses with zero padding were a little hard on our old bones. I’d still stay there again though. It was a good experience overall.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Really good value property close to the beach. Nice kitchen, lanai, dining room and bathrooms. Great to have covered parking in Kona. Elevator in the building is a plus too especially for check in and check out. Property is older but nicely maintained and the unit has updates in the important places. Property manager was easy to work with and the unit was very clean and prepped for our stay. Central AC worked well and kept the unit comfortable. Queen beds are fine but at least one king would be nice. And some curtains in the bedroom would help block the light that comes through the blinds. All in all a nice unit and a terrific value.
