Great location

Steps from the shore, just not a beach. The access to ocean is not an area to set up & enjoy (which is what we was looking for) rocks & cliffs made it not a area for relaxation. The location is close to Caralsbad, restaurants, shops & beaches. No working air conditioner just a small one in the dining room area. This made the bedroom uncomfortable to sleep in. So we slept on the pullout sofa. There is a sewage smell throughout the entire house, that was strong and required you to run hot water in the drains. Parking is not a problem (again, not near a beach so no extra cars around).

Five Star Experience but….

My family and enjoyed our stay at 1202 South Pacific Apt #2. The apartment was comfortable and had all the essentials needed including: kitchen supplies, toiletry, bath and beach towels, laundromat, portable A/C, ceiling fans, and cable TV. First downside to the apartment was the foul odor coming from the bathroom, possibly old plumbing? Second, although the apartment is “steps from the shore” its not an area where you can setup with your family and enjoy the beach as there is not a sand area but only a 5 minute drive or 20-25 minute walk to the Oceanside pier and beach area.
