Family get away

The property was perfect for our extended family. There was enough space for everyone to spread out and not be on top of each other. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. Will be back again!

We were given four parking permits and told to park in the driveway only. Only two cars will fit in that space.

Great house layout, close drive to beach

Overall, our stay was good. The house has a great layout for families. Plenty of space and very nice to have a full size washer/dryer to get rid of salt/sand! It's a close drive to the beach... would be a tough walk with all of your beach stuff. Few things specific to our stay: when we showed up, the kitchen window was stuck open about 5", both master bath sinks were broken (one clogged, one had a broken stopper preventing water from draining) and the dishwasher wasn't working. To their credit, the rental agency sent maintenance promptly the next morning and they made all the repairs quickly, which we appreciated very much - they were kind and capable. Just wasn't a great first impression. Also, the cleaning people missed a few things like clothing tags from prior guests all over the closet, crumbs on the couch/kitchen table... but after seeing what spring break looks like on Port A (not a family friendly time on the beach!), I'm sure they have their work cut out for them. Things to note for your stay: bring everything. The rental agency did provide a list of things to bring which I was thankful for, but also bring counter spray, dishwashing soap, tissues, etc. The kitchen is fairly well stocked. The driveway parking fits two cars, not four (unless you're driving four tiny smart cars). If you need to bring more than two cars, you'll need to inquire about where to park since it says street parking isn't permitted.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here as a group of nine people. The space in the home was more than sufficient and the gated neighborhood community was quiet and clean, even during Spring Break week. We made sure to rent a golf cart, which made the 4 minute ride to the beach an easy adventure. Cooking utensils were readily available, such as cookie sheets, drinking glasses, bowls, and blenders. It was great to have a heated pool for relaxing after a long day at the beach even when March weather was a tad cold. No complaints at all other than a minor tweak needed to the description of the driveway that is supposed to fit four cars but really only fits two midsize vehicles comfortably. We had to park our golf cart horizontally in front of our two vans, which barely fit all three vehicles within inches (instructions to the house explicitly state that no parking on the street is allowed). All-in-all, we would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

We needed some light bulbs and it was taken care of within a short time. There were a couple of things that should be looked into however. The furniture ( couch and chair)in the basement needs to be replaced, very uncomfortable and worn out. When we sat on it we bottomed out, the chair is all ripped out. One other thing was the floor covering on the steps was very worn and had dirty spots on it. Other than that our house was very nice! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home in Port A!
