Thank you for allowing us to rent your property for the week. Only because I would want to know if my property was in this condition that was being managed is the only reason I'm writing this....the property was not clean when we arrived, lawn was not mowed and the smoke alarms did not work. Upon arrival we cleaned the house, purchased 4 smoke alarms and left them on the property, there was an odor in the kitchen at the sink, we discovered standing water in the dishwasher which had been there for a while but we could not get the dishwasher to drain, so we left it alone, we never used the dishwasher. The area beside your home was used for corn hole games because the grass was knee high in the front and back. We also purchased a hummingbird feeder and left hanging on the porch along with the hummingbird food left in the refrigerator. If the home had been clean upon arrival and grass mowed our trip would have been perfect. Your home has so much potential and in such a beautiful area. I'm in the mortgage business and my sons are firefighters so yes I admit we're harder/cautious more than most, but just sweeping the floors would have been a plus. I'm a clean freak and will always scrub the kitchen and bathroom upon arrival but I was surprised to see the house 'dirty' and lawn unkept especially with the fire danger in the area. This was our first visit to Cloudcroft and it will not be our last, we will be back next summer for our family vacation. Thank you.
