4 Bedroom, plus loft, 3 1/2 bath house for up to 14 family members or friends with a furnished barn, including a loft, with 4 twin beds - all completely remodeled.
Fantastic for large families with gathering spaces in the kitchen, living room, screened-in porch and outside, newly repainted private deck. Kitchen table seats 12. 5 minute gentle sloping walk to the dock where we have a spot for your boat. Two paddle boards to use or choose to swim or float by the dock. There are also plenty of fishing spots off the dock or at the lake's edge all around the property.

Hardwood floors throughout the house.
The woodburning stove is inside the living room and enhances the coziness with colder temperatures. This is a very work-from-home friendly place with high-speed internet throughout the home. Speakers inside and out for your music of choice. Pool table, Foosball, and space for playing lots of games inside or outside.
Firepit gathering spot adjacent to the 8-person hot tub.

*Note that the barn's loft is accessible by ladder and it is best enjoyed by older children or adults. The barn isn't always used and we don't keep the beds made in order to keep it fresh. Bedding is provided and easily accessible. This is the same for the Murphy bed. It will be against the wall with bedding provided, in the room, for your use.

Great outdoors getaway!

My friends and I loved our stay and honestly wish we stayed longer. As a city person and it being my first time in Kentucky I was unsure if I would enjoy the amount of nature around but it was so relaxing that I wished we stayed more. The deck and screened porch is a great space to hang out with friends and even work remote. I loved sitting there in the morning. The kitchen is super updated and cooking was a breeze since it has every appliance needed. Rooms and bathrooms are also very clean and beds were very comfortable. We brought our own groceries as there isn't really a big grocery near by other than Dollar General. We went to Mammoth Cave which was fun and the hot tub and fire pit was amazing after! Highly recommend this spot. Super well maintained, homey feel and very cozy!

Incredible Barren River Lake Family Retreat

The property exceeded our expectations, which were high based on the great pictures. It easily lived up to everything listed, and then some. The owners, clearly go the extra mile to provide a beautiful and spacious lake home that was spacious, quiet, well appointed and extremely clean. What a fabulous spot to spend family time! The kitchen was fully stocked with all utensils and many extras, making cooking for large groups easy and enjoyable. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus, providing a relaxing experience for us to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Some of us were in the hot tub while others were at the fire pit. We even had plenty of firewood. Plenty of little nooks, inside and out, for individuals to find a quiet spot to read, nap, or listen to music. Also, lots of room for gatherings, conversation and making memories and we hope to stay here again in the private, fun spaceWe didn't use the dock because of the rain, but it was a fairly level and easy walkIt is great to have options for rain or shine and we can't wait to book another stay! Thank you for sharing such a beautiful and comfortable space to relax and recharge.

Absolutely magical stay!

Absolutely magical stay! We came with our extended family—10 of us total—and this lake house couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully set up everything was. The house itself is fantastic, with cozy yet spacious rooms and those peaceful forested lake views melt our stress away. The hot tub was a total hit—whether it was morning coffee or late-night chats under the stars, we couldn’t stay out of it! We also loved paddleboarding and just floating on the lake. The kitchen was a dream—fully stocked with everything we needed (shoutout to the brand-new ice maker!) and a massive table that fit all of us comfortably for meals and game nights. It really made family time easy and fun.Our twenty-somethings basically moved into the barn the moment we arrived—and honestly, we hardly saw them part of the time, they were having that much fun and could sleep in late! Between the pool table, darts, and just having their own cool hangout space, it was like a mini-vacation within a vacation with just enough family time vs. hang out time. Meanwhile, the rest of us soaked in the quiet, sipping coffee on the screened porch & on the back deck, surrounded by a serene peacefulness. It’s rare to find a place that offers so much fun & serenity all in one place—but this one absolutely nails it. We’re already talking about coming back. Highly recommend!

Our family has owned this home for four years, and we have worked together to make it a place where we want to spend time. Now that our kids are older, we want to share it with other families.

Why they chose this property

The neighbors mostly live here year-round and would do anything for each other. We loved the view of the lake and the easy dock access, which isn't easy to find.

What makes this property unique

There are so many areas for gathering and hanging out together, from the barn fun area, to the inside and outside sitting areas, with views out every window. Access to the dock is also special, even if you only use it to sit before swimming or other lake activities.
