Note from the owners, house tips and rules:
We personally want to welcome you to St. Pete and our cute guesthouse. Please remember that this is our private guest house and not a hotel with a large budget and service staff. Please respect our property and belongings, we have worked very hard to make this a beautiful, clean, nicely decorated space and we hope that all guest treat this home as if it was their own or better. We strive to provide all our guests with a clean, comfortable, and safe stay. With this in mind please observe the following guidelines:
-Please be gentle with the gate when opening and closing. Close and open slowly to keep the gate on track. Please keep the yard gate closed and locked at all times. Guests will be given the code during their phone check-in. To lock the padlock please turn the numbers and check that it is locked.
-Please do not wear shoes in the home, we recommend bringing house slippers if guests don’t want to walk barefoot. There is a shoe mat on the inside of the door for guest shoes.
-Please lock the guesthouse when leaving by hitting the “Kwikset” button on top of the keypad and please double check the door is actually locked when leaving. The door is set to lock itself after 30 seconds, it will work only if it is tightly closed in the door frame. To ensure it is, push into the frame until you hear a klick.
-Please DO NOT use the bottom lock, only use the keypad when leaving. Using the bottom lock by turning the knob on the inside and shutting the door behind you will lock you out. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to assist in a timely fashion in this matter due to work or not being at home. In case of a lockout please contact host ASAP and be aware that you may get locked out for several hours, so please remember to only use the top keypad lock only.
-Please eat and drink only in the designated dinning area, no food in the living room or bedroom.
-Please do not use the couch as a bed. The living room is not intended to be used as a bedroom/sleeping quarters. Guest may not have other guests stay the night or book the Vrbo as friends and sleep separately.
-The use of grills, candles, or any open fires is strictly prohibited inside or outside the guest house.
-Please respect our neighbors and maintain quiet hours from 9:30pm-7:00am.
-Please do not use any mind or mood altering substances on the premisses (do not get high or drunk). We will terminate guest stay if we suspect the use of marijuana (in any form), other illegal drugs, or excess alcohol use.
-No Smoking of any sort on premises (including outside of the guest house). This is a smoke free property.
-The bathroom light is on a timer (0-60 min), please DO NOT force the light off it will go off on it's own.
-Please be considerate of your electricity and water usage, by turning the lights off when not in the room, set a/c to 75 when leaving for the day and making sure the faucets are off when not in use, thank you.
- The blue trash can outside is for recyclables only (plastic, paper, & glass). If you need to take out the trash please take it out to the big black dumpster in the alley.
-We have created an outdoor patio for our guest with comfortable furniture. Please keep patio furniture covered at all time when not in use.
-Please note that the backyard is a private space reserved strictly for use by the home owners. Please do not walk around the property without permission.
-We encourage and welcome anyone who wants to book a long term stay. Please note that long term guests are responsible for providing their own toiletries after the first week of their stay. Basic toiletries provided for up to one week are as follows: shampoo, conditioner, tp, soap, but not toothpaste for sanitary reasons.
-Please do not use greasy products that stain sheets, bleach/dyes on towels, or foods/chemicals that stain towels and other items. Guests will be charged for damaged sheets, towels, pillows, and other items/surfaces.
-During long term stays the guest is responsible for the general maintenance/cleanliness of the guesthouse (maintaining clean bathroom and kitchen). We do lightly clean the guesthouse every 2 weeks (change linens and towels, dust and vacuum, etc. ).
-Please note the guest house does not have its own address. Please don’t give out the main address without permission. If the guest needs to receive something via mail please inform the host first and we will bring it to the guest house when it arrives. We are not liable for any undelivered or missing mail/packages. Any mail received after the guest checks out will be returned to sender.
-For guest enjoyment the guest house has essential oil diffuser stations in each room. You may use them as much or as little as you like. The oils are Certified Pure Theraputic Grade oils (no chemicals, fillers, etc) straight from Mother Nature. I use them in my wellness center with my patients and they are 100% safe. If you would like to take home any of the oils you enjoy in the guest house please let us know. Please do not remove any essential oils, diffusers, or books (you will be charged for each item removed without permission).
-Please place all used linens and towels on the floor/laundry basket by the washing machine at checkout.
-Please pick up after yourself and be sure to take all of your belongings with you. We will not be held responsible for any items left behind.
-Please do not wash large items in the washing machine, operation instructions are on the machine.
-Guest visitors are not allowed to stay overnight nor leave their cars parked at the guest house. If you would like to have a visitor please inform the host first.
-Check out is at 11am.
-If something breaks or is not working please let us know ASAP so that it can be fixed right away.
-We appreciate that you took the time to read the house tips and rules. When placing a request to book please indicate that you have read and agree to the house rules. By doing so your booking request will be approved much faster. If you do not indicate you have read and agree to the house tips and rules you will be asked to review the information as we will assume you have not read them.
Once you are approved we will schedule a brief phone checkin closer to your arrival. Looking forward to hosting you :)

About the host
Hosted by Basia (Basha)

I love all things that make us better as people, nutrition, yoga, camping, biking, traveling, friends, family, the arts, music, and meditation. I love our home and the city of St. Petersburg because it has so much to offer. My passion is to create a sustainable and ecologically friendly home environment and I incorporate permaculture design principles into our property. I love to garden, harvest energy, preserve food, and live a healthy life.
