Everything at this property is great - the owners, the cabin, the location and view, the firepit, the garage, and last but not least the hoist! First time staying at this cabin and we will be back.
Beautiful newly renovated and very clean cabin. View of the lake from the deck and kitchen. Host was super friendly and helpful. Location was nicely secluded yet close to places to eat and some live music. Would definitely stay here again!
This place has it all! The location is excellent and the view will make it hard to leave! Not only is it a very peaceful setting but my husband and I saw Eagles as we enjoyed our morning coffee...the North Woods is a magical place to begin with and Robins Nest is the perfect place to stay and enjoy it. Cannot wait to visit again!
The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well equipped with all the essentials. It is located on a quiet peninsula with beautiful views of the lake. We lucked out and caught the colors at their peak. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return again to spend more time on the lake.
Just perfect for a small family. Right on the water with a dock access. Owner very assessable and friendly when we had questions. A first the property shown claiming to be on the water, actually was! Will rent this cabin again for sure!
Had an amazing time with my family! The house was perfect. Clean, comfortable and decorated so well! The property is private, quiet with a beautiful view of the lake! So much to do, fish, swim, boating, kayaking, sitting by the bonfire! Chris the host was so responsive. He was helpful with renting a boat, food recommendations, and even mailing my daughters purse after finding out she left it there. Truly a great experience.
Sweet little spot nestled on the edge of the lake - loons, eagles, the lapping of water on the shore, blue sky and pine trees. Everything a couple of city-dwellers needs to decompress and unwind. Great location to explore the woods in the area - mountain biking trails and unique dining experiences nearby. Highly recommend a trip to Delta Diner, we loved it. Chris was a true pleasure to chat with, he couldn't have been more accommodating helping us get situated. Cabin is comfy and has a great vibe. Truly appreciate that we could bring our dog along, she enjoyed it too!
We had an awesome week-long stay here! The location is suberb, with a great view over the central part of Lake Namakagon. The private dock with available boat lift was a huge plus for us and our pontoon, and we enjoyed paddling the provided kayaks. The cabin has been updated and was very clean. We have rented many cabins on this lake in the past, and this was among the best--perfect for a couple or small group. Hosts Chris and Tammy were fantastic: friendly and flexible when we needed to slightly adjust our stay dates--plus they took the initiative to reach out after we accidentally left a couple of items behind. Highly recommend!
This is a lovely cabin very reminiscent of cabins of yesteryear, but completely updated and very comfortable. The views were stunning and a very quiet surrounding. We did kayaking and hiking on nearby trails, shopping in Cable and overall and a very relaxing week. The cabin and information Chris supplied us with was clear and we no issues.

This cabin reminded me of my grandma's "up north" cabin --but with plumbing and a beautiful renovation - which makes the cabin very charming. We used the fire pit each night and had some nice fires by the lake. We also rented a boat - which was brought right to our dock by the business owners. The fishing was pretty good - we had a couple nice days of catches. It's a wonderfully peaceful setting - the view of the stars at night was just amazing - so many more than we see here at home. We did drive up to the Superior/Duluth area for a day - it's only about an hour a half - if you are looking for other things to do as well. Chris - the owner was outstanding - so responsive to my questions. We actually got to meet in person as well - A great trip - I would recommend - for small families or couples.
This was our second stay at this cozy lake cabin. The property is beautiful and well cared for. Chris is a great host. We enjoyed a relaxing week kayaking on the lake, grilling dinners, and listening to loons. Truly a refreshing retreat...
Clean, comfortable cabin with a great location on the lake. Very few mosquitoes due to the southern winds on the peninsula. Nice fire pit with very comfortable chairs. Enjoyed the use of the boat lift. Great host with good communication. Can't wait to go back!!
20+ years traveling to our most favorite area up North on Lake Namekagon. We found a new favorite place to stay “Robin’s Nest” was the perfect place to stay. Our Host made everything easy and our cabin was very perfect! Can’t wait to come again!
The location was incredible, and the cabin was very cozy! The owner was very easy to get in touch with. It had all the kitchen supplies we needed as we cooked all meals at the cabin. The beds were very comfortable which is always an unknown when renting homes! Thanks for a great stay!
This cabin included all the necessities! Chris was on the ball with any questions. Lots of space, lots of privacy and lots of QUIET. The only sound was the water lapping the shore or the occasional bass boat going by. There are other cabins nearby but while we were there they seemed unoccupied. The scenery was well beyond what we expected and the drive is easy from Cable. Cell service is spotty up there if you’re not connected to WiFi or near town, but if you’re heading to the north woods you should stay off your phone and look around! Several hiking trails and lakes nearby as well as quaint taverns and town. Definitely recommend and hope to return!

About the host

Owners are owners of Eagle Rock, a rental cabin next door that is not currently being rented. The most rewarding thing about renting our cabins is the great stories we hear from families and guests that return year after year. This property is a beautiful sliver of God’s creation and we welcome all to make lifelong memories here.
Why they chose this property
Robin’s Nest is located in the center of Lake Namakagon. The historic charm was retained through many updates made in early 2021. This cabin was part of a resort that dated back to the 1940s or 1950s. There were at least 4 cabins that were part of this resort. The prior owner, Schmitty and Robin, took great care of this cabin since 1979 and turned over the keys in September of 2020.
What makes this property unique
Great views, sandy play area, dock, boat lift, paddle boat and kayaks available.
The setting and views are completely amazing.
