Fantastic (waterside) lake views pull at you from sunrise to sunset; you never want to leave the porch. LARGE fenced in yard (lakeside) - peace and tranquility just 70 miles from Dallas! Sometimes, you can catch glimpses of a white heron, ducks, cardinals, and several other birds...you will feel tranquility here.

The kitchen is a home cook’s dream. This home can fit a large family, but is also perfect for just two. This home is perfect for making memories. The open concept great room has vaulted ceilings with the amazing views of the lake as the centerpiece. We are located in an area that is PERFECT for swimming. We have a paddle board for your personal use.

We understand the need to get away and take a break in a safe, serene setting with your family. All you need to do is come and relax, sit back with your feet up and take in the beautiful lake views. Let the kids run in the fully fenced lakeside yard, fish off our small dock [or community dock] and enjoy a splash in the water.

We offer family friendly services and are available to answer your questions promptly.
A fantastic newer style home on Cedar Creek Lake. Bright and open. Whether lake levels are high or low {lake levels fluctuate - we are on a cove}, your family can play at the water's edge, collect seashells or venture out deeper to enjoy your water toys. We have a paddle board and lily pad - they can be tied up to our dock in our protected cove. You can enjoy building an evening fire in the firepit, all the while enjoying the privacy this cove has to offer your family.

There are water views from nearly every room in the house. The immense back porch makes it possible for Mom and Dad to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening while watching the kids playing in the water. Dream house is what we call it, we think you will too!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
KITCHEN: Please wash your dishes and leave the kitchen as you found it. Unplug appliances you used and returned them to their original location.
TRASH: Tie garbage bags and place them in trash cans at the end of the driveway. If the cans are not at the end of the driveway, please make sure they are placed there for trash pick up.
BEDROOMS & BATH: Please strip off all sheets and pillowcases of beds used. Put on the bedroom floor. Put all used towels in the laundry room.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
We are on a pie shaped lot - Please be conscientious with our neighbors space. 6 cars only please. Also, quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am.
For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have external security cameras located outside the front door and above the back door.
Pet Policy- we allow up to 2 dogs under 50 lbs. No pets on furniture. Please pick up after them. There is a $100 non refundable fee.

We loved the house. The neighborhood was quiet. My son caught a few fish. We had a family get together for our youngest child’s 10th birthday. We had 6 adults and 3 kids (10, 13, 16). There was plenty of room for all of us! The only issue we had was the white fencing by the lake was not secure. Thankfully my kids are old enough to be careful.

Perfect family getaway for rest and relaxation!!!

This was the perfect location for some much needed time together and relaxation for our family! We loved having the fenced yard for our grandchildren to play in, and the view of the lake was so pretty both during the day and at night. What a lovely vacation home! It's gorgeously done, and such a pretty porch/water view! We spent four days here fishing and just relaxing with our dog. Everything you need is truly at your disposal (great kitchen set up!) and the rooms are decorated exceptionally well and with fun, bright colors. Extra twin beds in each bedroom are so fun for kids. We felt at home instantly! There is a Brookshires just a few minutes away, so you can pick up needed groceries. Laura was an amazing host. We texted her several times and she answered immediately. The only surprise we had during our stay was that the neighbor's dog, a tiny Yorkie, is able to walk through the fence posts on the side of the house, and she greeted us on our porch steps the first evening. Our dog has issues with other dogs, so we were concerned. Laura talked to the neighbors, as did we, and they very nicely kept the dog out of our yard during the rest of our stay. Overall, a wonderful stay, superb home, and the very best host!

This house was so thoughtfully setup for hosting my family. Plenty of seating inside and outside so we could all hang out, fenced in yard so no unexpected 'visitors'. Also the kitchen had every single thing we needed to make all of our meals. Plenty of fans to cool down the house and the beds were absolutely awesome! We will definitely be staying here again.

The property was beautiful! It was large enough for all of our family and we made some wonderful memories! There are a few suggestions I'd like to make. The skillets very much need to be replaced. They are tired. Also, the mattresses are terrible. They are very hard. Actually there wasn't even a mattress, it was just a foam pad. Honestly i would love to stay again but will not be because of those mattresses. Everything else was great!

Family friendly lakeside stay

We had an amazing stay at this lake house. The house was very clean. The living area was perfect for our large family and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved drinking our coffee on the porch and enjoying the lake. The water level was quite low, but it made it so we had a beach area. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. The owner was very responsive to all communication.

Beautiful Property on Lake

We just stayed over Thanksgiving and had the best time! The lake house is beautiful and the layout was perfect. We brought our own food but the house was more than stocked with everything we needed to cook with. We never ran out of a towel or hot water haha. We played games, enjoyed the view and watched a gorgeous blue heron greet us every morning. It was the perfect getaway and very relaxing!

Great little get-a-way

We don't live far, but wanted to be right on the water for the 4th, it was a great stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed, and more. The host was very easy to contact and the weather was great. The boat launch is very close, and although the water was too low (and there was a electrical pipe in the water by the dock that had come loose) and we were not able to tie our boat up, it was still very east to use the public dock/boat launch. Besides putting the boat in the water we never left the house, spending out evenings watching the fireworks around the lake, thanks!

Dads Birthday.

We have used VRBO since 2017, this is the 1st time that EVERYONE was satisfied, the house was clean, spacious, and very comfy, it was perfect for what we needed, My hubby lost one of his Brothers two weeks after we booked the place, this Big Comfy "HOME" was just the get away we needed to eat drink, laugh and cry!!!! This was the BEST Home and Service thus far!!! Thanks!! oh yea, we are getting a Sonic Ice Machine!!!!!

Exactly what we needed

Upon entering the property and walking in to the house, immediately you are welcomed with a view of the lake. Very Inviting ! Clean and airy with open concept in kitchen, living room area ! The large porch was probably one of my favorite features. Laura put so much thought in to every detail for her house guests, from labels, to ice machine, to water toys. i was very impressed with this property and will be planning on returning next year. I highly recommend this as a get away ! My husband was the most relaxed that i have see him in years.

Perfect for families

Such a fun casual getaway! Just a short drive from Dallas, it felt like a world away. The layout of the house is great for families – with plenty of beds and a fenced yard. In addition to the gourmet grill, the kitchen is well-equipped and there is a fantastic fruit and vegetable stand nearby, as well as a Brookshire’s grocery. The generous porch has comfy seating and is shaded much of the day – perfect for reading, relaxing, dining, visiting, or just watching the birds and enjoying the view of the lake. Our family enjoyed swimming, fishing, baking cookies, and just hanging out. There is even a floating “lily pad” for the kids to play on or the grownups to float and soak up some sun. Definitely felt like home!

Cousins & Family Labor Day Weekend 2024

We had the best time ever! The house was just as described, there is everything you need to make your vacation perfect. I love to cook & grill for everyone and there are all the tools there to do that. Less the crock pot, but we checked with the owner & brought our own. We mainly hung put on the huge porch and talked. Do keep in mind, if you like watching tv on vacation, there are only 2, one in the living area & 1 in the master. Overall, it has been one of our best trips! We are already taking about staying here again. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had! Neighbor was friendly! And the view of the lake is amazing!!!! We purchased this lake house because we fell in love with it the minute we walked through the door. The HUGE open room in the center of the home, with amazing lake views brought us peace. We love to travel, but most of all we love our family & friends. We believe we found the perfect place to spend time together and enjoy a little bit of God's beautiful creation!

Why they chose this property

Many homes around the lake were built in the 70's and 80's. We wanted a newer home, one with water views. For us, this home was a rare find, a treasure, a perfect lake home offering privacy, room to play and magnificent views. We are also on one level - that means NO STAIRS!

What makes this property unique

It is situated in a quiet neighborhood on a cul-de-sac. Very tranquil, peaceful. Our home has a HUGE yard with an amazing view of the lake.
