The host was great. The location was also nice. Close to shopping and attractions. The cabin and amenities were good. However, we were very disappointed that the cabin was not private. There were neighbors close by on both sides. The deck where neighbors were grilling looked directly down to the cabin porch and hot tub. We were extremely disappointed to find derelict falling down farm structures as the view from the back porch. There is a large structure just 40-50 yards from the cabi that completely blocks any view. There is absolutely no view except for the falling down structures. It looked more like a junk yard than anything. Also, the pictures of the living room furniture in the listing were not the same as what we found. Overall, we were disappointed. The listing should reflect the limitations and problems. It should definitely include that it is private or that there is any view.

About the host

I've lived in the mountains in NC near Asheville for 45 years and now have a cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains to call my own! I'm so excited to share it with you :)
Why they chose this property
I've been visiting the Gatlinburg area for over 35 years and find something new to enjoy every time! My cabin is located in a very peaceful setting amongst the trees and a creek runs behind it. It provides everything you could ask for: peace and quiet, a creek, hot tub, fire pit, room for 6, two large porches with a swing, a gas grill, easy access (no 4x4 needed), nice level acre of land, a fireplace and 3 smart tv's. Don't fight the traffic in Gatlinburg or Sevierville - come to the quiet side of the Smokys. I hope you enjoy our Smokey Mountains as much as I do! If you're ever in Asheville, North Carolina, check out my other listings there!
What makes this property unique
The setting is perfect for relaxing, enjoying nature, listening to the creek or the birds in the morning. I'm close enough to Gatlinburg if I want to go shopping!
