This place is a well-hidden paradise! The owner is very responsive. My husband enjoyed paddle boarding and exploring the area. We really enjoyed our stay.

We decided to come to the shack for our 40th anniversary instead of Paris. Yes you read that right! It was a perfect getaway. Lovely days exploring, dining out and nights spent under the tin roof looking out at the river and all its charm. We saw sailboats, waterbirds, rainbows and lightning storms. Besides being beautiful, the area is rich in history and has great seafood restaurants. And the shack fits right in. The host has created a clean, comfortable and stylish retreat. Great for couples who prefer the tidewaters over Paris!

Crab Shack is a favorite of ours to visit! While small, this place has all the amenities with beautiful views. We love hanging out on the dock and enjoying quality time together. Host Carlisle is superb for quick answers and regularly check ins for anything needed. Great place & great host. Highly recommended!

Outstanding experience at The Crab Shack. The house was cozy, clean and had all the necessary items for our stay. The view from the patio was stunning, especially sunrises and sunsets. Owner was responsive and very easy to deal with. He also provided excellent instructions. Check in was a breeze. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Literal gem of a place. Rustic pine paneling and ship lap interior exceedingly well done and thought out. Totally unique oyster shell fireplace that works perfectly. Kitchen is fun and hot plates and toaster oven with air fry is all you need when coupled with outdoor grill and side burner. Dock is phenomenal and new, with great fish or crab cleaning station and two swivel chairs with umbrella which swing out over the water. Crabbing on this trip was maybe best ever for us, with quantity and size for the two traps supplied. Mid August fishing poor but was expected.Ten minutes to towns with super restaurants and atmosphere.Host is great…very informative and candid but not intrusive in any way.Crab Shack earned its 5 stars with us each day. Our ABSOLUTE fav VRBO for a couples ...plus dog getaway! Perfect for us since we love visiting Kilmarnock, Irvington and White Stone restaurants etc. Nice set up...extremely quiet and right on the water. Comfortable furniture, linens, w and the interior is so welcoming and beautifully done...the total package!

Lovely shack by the water in pristine condition

Awesome location.

The Crab Shack is perfectly located near the "triangle" of White Stone, Irvington and Kilmarnock. The fireplace is great and everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. It is a unique property and well worth the drive from FL.
