About this property

Comfy Suite Near ASU, Extra Clean and Private!

Nice room + full bathroom, with a private entrance (no kitchen). Your room is separated from my cute, 1950's desert home 1 mi. from ASU campus. Included: Microwave, fridge, coffee maker, top-quality gel memory foam mattress, soft bedding, desk, free wi-fi, smart TV, Netflix/PrimeVd, +more. Free parking. Smoke/pet-free. Short walks to light rail/buses. Short drives to desert hikes, stores, cultural venues, and pro sports events.
This is an extra-clean, very comfortable room+bathroom. It is separated from the house with its own private entrance. You have a large, beautiful shower with great water pressure, desk, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker (no cooking stove), iron, ironing board, hairdryer, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and more.

I own and live in the cute, 1950s desert-style home next door. You will have all the privacy you want, but I'm available via text/call if you need anything! (I provide my number on the in-room guide.)

Located in a low-traffic cul-de-sac, at the center of the metro-Phoenix region of the Sonoran Desert, and just one mile from the beautiful Tempe Campus of Arizona State University, my place is perfectly situated for resting deeply, and for exploring the many attractions of this region!
Parking is free in the driveway or on the street in front of the house. Without a personal car, Lyft and Uber are the quickest ways to get around. You will also be a very short walk (3-8 minutes) from multiple stops for mass transit, including Light Rail, Valley Metro buses, and Tempe's free "Orbit" buses which circulate through Tempe. For schedules, use G__gle Maps (with the "train" icon selected), or the trip planner at valleymetro.org.

Very gracious host, everything was very neat and tidy, squeaky clean, easy to access, felt very safe and secure. Plenty of towels, extra toiletries if needed, we appreciated the larger size fridge in the kitchenette area. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great place to stay

Very cozy and great place to stay for one or two people. The area is pretty nice and a lot of cool shops are within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!

The pictures were nothing like the property. Basically, an attached 1 car garage of a small home was turned in to a very small room which was very clean, well stocked, comfortable enough, but had no window and well, was a garage. Owner was very nice and easy to work with. Nothing to do within walking area, but close enough to the spring training field we were interested in.

I am an Arizona State University professional. I work at ASU's Tempe Campus, managing programs for international graduate students and alumni. I am the owner and full-time resident of the home next to your guest suite. I moved to Tempe in1996 from Oregon where I grew up and earned my undergraduate degree. I'm very active in Tempe community-building and a co-chair of our neighborhood association. I'm a people person and love animals too. I love being "Auntie" to my many nieces, nephews and friends' kids! Sadly, I can't have pets due to allergies, but that means my home is pet-free for guests.

Why they chose this property

Arizona is a young state, so my1950-built house is considered fairly historic in the area. Our neighborhood is on the eastern side of what is considered "Central Tempe", so we're close to all of Tempe's cool stuff: ASU's beautiful campus, Tempe Town Lake, Downtown Tempe, and the new shops and eateries popping up along Apache Boulevard.
Everything is easy to access via walking, light-rail and buses, including Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, sports arenas, fine arts venues, and world-class restaurants. Your light rail station and bus stops are short 2-4 minute walks from your room's door!
You won't go hungry! There are plenty of places to eat out or buy great coffee. If you want to buy groceries, you can walk 3 minutes to the 7-11 convenience store, or take a light-rail train, bus or Lyft/Uber to one of many stores nearby, including health food, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Asian, and other specialty grocery places.
A short ride away is Tempe Marketplace, our nearest shopping mall, offering many big-chain options, including a 16-screen movie theater, Barnes & Noble Bookstore, Target, Best Buy, and clothes, beauty services, and tech shopping.

This guest suite is perfectly situated for visitors to Arizona State University, Desert Botanical Gardens, Chicago Cubs spring training games, desert hiking, and a wide range of other nearby things to do. With self-check-in and check-out, you'll have full privacy in this location. It's like a nice hotel room with better amenities for lower prices!
