This lakefront gem sits on a gorgeous 8800 sq ft lot w/ 200 ft of lake frontage. Adorable cottage getaway on Big Pine Island, an all-sports lake approx. 30 min from Grand Rapids. Kitchen has top of the line appliances, granite counter tops w/ a wine refrigerator too! 3 decks, a gas grill, table for dining. Firepit. There are two fireplaces in the cottage as well as two Smart TV's. High-speed internet. Two kayaks are included with rental. Pet friendly w/ fee.

Cozy cottage

So glad we booked this quiet little cottage! It the perfect size and the lake front view is gorgeous. We definitely try to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake!

Adorable cottage on a beautiful lake

We spent labor day here with our dog and it was perfect. The property had everything we needed and Suzanne was an amazing host. She took time out of her holiday weekend to drop off firewood for us which we greatly appreciated! We had a blast using the kayaks provided and brought our own floats to hang out in the lake. I’d recommended this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing lake house getaway!

Quick getaway

My husband and I just needed a weekend away from home. Suzanne’s lake cottage was perfect. It felt like a friend loaned a house to us for the weekend because they weren’t using it. All the little personal items in the home made it feel very cozy and the jar of hairties in the bathroom came in clutch!

Just what I needed

I rented this cottage for some r&r and this property was on target! Nice view of the lake from the decks, 4 swans hanging out on the water right off the dock, geese flying by once in a while, it was great. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable! It is a small cottage but you don't feel cramped. Even though the houses on the lake are "stacked in like cord wood,"it's a surprisingly quiet neighborhood. We will most likely be back next year!

Had a quiet and relaxing stay. Explored nearby hiking trails and kayaked on the lake. It was nice to come home to this lakefront cozy cottage and just enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the view with a glass of wine after a day of hiking.The kitchen was well equipped, everything I needed was there. The fireplace in the bedroom was nice.
got in late so just had wine and cheese. Kitchen had wine glass and small cutting board which worked great as I read though the welome book

Fantastic!! This lake rental exceeded our expectations. Super cute. Lots of unexpected extra supplies. There was even a dog kennel built into the side of the home. The view was gorgeous. We watched the sunrise, and enjoyed the colors of sunset.The dock gave us easy access to the boats and kayak. There was also a canoe. It was fun paddling around the island, with our dog as a mascot. She loved every second of our stay. Extra dog supplies, crate and tethers. We appreciated how homey and cozy everything was. It rained one morning, but it was fine because there were fun board games to play. We wanted for nothing, and slept very well at night. Comfortable. Large tvs. Zero WiFi issues. The property leading to the lake is huge, and there are two patio areas. We definitely recommend this spot, and would easily decide to visit again. Also, it was perfectly clean. The owner was always available to answer questions, or help navigating the Vrbo ap. We really can’t say enough. Zero complaints or concerns.

Beautiful cozy cottage

Suzanne was fabulous! This place is decorated so cute and has everything you could possibly need. A very peaceful place to unwind. Beyond what I was expecting. Can’t wait to come back again and enjoy the beauty of this cottage on the lake. Couldn’t imagine a better host! Thanks again.

Not bad

Disappointed with no wood to burn in fire pit, was not told to bring our own wood. Was not told what the WiFi user and password was until the next day, it was written on the chalkboard. Feel the info should have been sent to us. Could have been more cleaner, cobweb all over in bedroom some dishes were not clean. Other than the few things I mention we had a relaxing and quiet time.

A Bit Disappointed

Although the hostess was very friendly and addressed an issue that happened with the power, we decided to leave a day early. We were disappointed in the upkeep of the property. The pictures on the Vrbo site must have been taken when the property was first rented. We were looking forward to a few days of relaxation, however the pier was slanted, as well as the floors in the cottage and the kitchen sink. My partner had difficulty walking and maintaining balance on the uneven surfaces. The refrigerator had an odor. The cleanliness of the deck and grill was not satisfactory. THE BATHROOM WAS CLEAN! The cottage is very small with little room to place personal items. Decorations, although nice, took up a lot of the surface space making it difficult to relax in such crowded surroundings. This property could be very nice with some needed upkeep.

The Lakefront Cottage is an ultimate experience in rest and relaxation. The property sites on a large double lot with tremendous lake views. The sunrise skies are breathtaking from the bedroom and living areas. The property has three separate decks with outdoor chairs, umbrellas, sofa & table and gas grill. There are two chaise lounges and a swing overlooking the lake. The is high speed internet too! Perfect for a weekend getaway or business travel. 35 minutes to downtown Grand Rapids.
