Property was very clean and comfortable. The property owner was very responsive when asked questions. Overall a great stay! The property itself is in a convenient location - easily walk to the beach, only 20 minutes from Beaufort, about 4 minutes from Hunting State Park/Beach. We visited there along with Low Country Cider, Seaside Bar and Grill,
The F Building condo we had was nice but the AC unit was old and could not cool below 80. The Tidewatch staff was excellent and moved us to another condo in building K which was an upgrade at no additional charge. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained- highly recommend!!
The property was exactly as listed. We literally booked last minute and the communication was excellant. The walk to the beach was easy, the pool was nice too. plenty of room and all the kitchen essentials. We enjoyed the local restaurants and took a day trip to Savannah. Thank you so much for a delightful stay. Peter/Jer
We appreciated staying in a condo on Harbor island. We would recommend purchasing some patio furniture instead of folding chairs. The kitchen needs a toaster and some Teflon pans. Also, the table in living room is very wobbily.
We did enjoy the pools, beach, ocean, dolphins and watching the sunrise. Weather was perfect.
We also enjoyed eating at Johnson Creek Tavern, Saltus and Fish camp.
Everything was great, the house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The house just needs to be updated like the shower head, it has no pressure. We bought groceries like milk cheese meat etc. We couldnt use it because the fridge never got cold. Even when we turned the knob on the inside of the fridge to the coolest setting everything was still warm. The patio could use some furniture! Over all it was a good experience.
Overall, we enjoyed our staff. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. A few little things needed attention: The lock on sliding door to the deck would not lock but we were on 2nd story so not too concerned. A couple pictures were in the closet of the master bedroom with broken glass, and the bottom refrigerator shelf kept falling off. There are 2 pools available to use. We used the big one down with a small kiddie pool and playground. The lady that works at the Turtle's Nest located at the pool is extremely nice. The condo's are close to Beaufort and Port Royal. Both areas are very pretty and everyone is extremely friendly. Places to checkout is the Waterfront Park in Beaufort. This area has several restaurants and stores to walk around and look at. Recommend Lowcountry Cider Co. & Superior Coffee -they have really good cider and baked goods. Also, places to eat: The Bricks, Dockside Grill, and Johnson Creek Tavern located just up from the condos. Hunting Island and Lighthouse is very pretty as well. The condos are located on the sound with just a short walk to the beach area. We loved finding hermit crabs all over the beach. We left them in their shells but was fun to find and look at them. They were all different sizes. I also found a sand dollar early in the morning. Great place for kids to explore and play. Also, nice if just want a quiet relaxing get away. .
The area was very quiet (there weren’t many kids the weekend we were there) and it truly is so close to the beach! The access is right behind the condo, and the beach is absolutely beautiful. The actual condo was very clean and pretty, bed was super comfy, and was exactly what the doctor ordered for a mental health vacay! Being on the top floor, there isn’t anyone above you when you sleep so it is very peaceful (unless you’re like my boyfriend, and a fly fart could wake you up). Overall, a 10/10 and we will be staying again I’m the future!
Quite neighborhood with private beach super nice. Great place for solitude and peace. Saw lots of wild life. Saw dolphins everyday we were there. The condo was very nice.
The condo was great. ANYONE WITH KIDS....We had just arrived and unloading groceries and luggage, we were not there even 20 mins and the lady below came out complaining about the kids being to loud and this being the 4th set of kids for the 4th week in a row. So trying to keep 3 kids(11,6,9months)quiet was terrible. But in the description it states there is a king size bed and there is not a king size bed. This stinks for people who look for specific bed sizes and pay the amount we pay to not have the correct bed sizes. We cosleep so we were miserable and got little to no sleep.
Overall nice place to stay. There was no toaster which we asked about getting one but per the property Management the owner did not respond to. Also there is a great natural marsh area between the ocean and the property, but beware of the mosquitoes around evening time. Also being in a bay, the waves are much smaller, which allows for better paddle boarding and ocean kayaking, but not good if you plan to body board or surf.
We had a great last minute summer vacation at the beach. Condo was great, clean, quite and a wonderful location to pools, beach, local shops and restaurants. We will return to Harbor Island!
