We had the most wonderful time in this beautiful place. The house is clean and well kept. We loved exploring the beautiful island and we loved how calm and peaceful the area is! Excellent communication from the owners, they were helpful and kind.
We were only two people and didn’t need a house that slept ten which seems to be the norm with the other club on the island. We also didn’t need our own pool as we go to the beach every day. I originally thought Safety Harbor only had condos and was so excited to see we had rented a single family. Just the right size for us and steps from the pool, a lovely few minute walk to the beach. Deborah was a pleasant, very responsive host. It was a wonderful vacation with perfect accommodations for us! Can’t wait to come back.
This charming, secluded beach house was perfect for my family of five. The location is great -- the Safety Harbor Club pool and tennis courts are right across the street, and it's a short golf cart ride to Safety Harbor's private beach access, or only slightly farther to the public beach.
The house is well-maintained and was comfortable for our family of 5 (my spouse and I upstairs -- up the spiral stair case, 2 kids in the downstairs bedroom, and teen on the couch). The rest of our group (11 others) stayed in a new, 4-story house near NCIC -- it was definitely bigger and fancier than this house, but my preference is for this cozy gems like this one, quietly hidden behind the seagrape trees on a lightly trafficked loop.
Water is from a well, so there is a sulphury odor while bathing, brushing teeth, etc. A Brita pitcher was perfectly adequate to remove the smell and provide drinking water without lugging plastic bottles over.
Our host, Deborah, was great. We had some scheduling snafus with Island Girl (our fault for making some last minute schedule changes) but she accommodated us, and met us at the Saftey Harbor Club to help with our luggage. We had one breakdown on the golf cart (melted battery terminal). I messaged Deborah to let her know, and by the time we finished our hike down to the south end of the island, the cart had already been repaired! Amazing!
Highly recommended all around -- love the island, loved Safety Harbor Club and this house, great host! Can't wait to go back!
