The best of new urbanism living can be found at the updated Hook, Wine and Sinker spacious two-story penthouse apartment. This sophisticated and spacious two-story penthouse has two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, giving enough space for six guests to enjoy the space and convenience of the ideally located 25 Central Square building with its shops and restaurants, not to mention the close proximity to the Gulf of Mexico! This luxury condo is only 75 feet to the beach access and has a prime central location a 1 minute walk to over 35 shops and restaurants in Seaside, Florida!

On the main level of the penthouse, guests will enjoy a renovated kitchen with sub-zero refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, GE glass top range and GE microwave. The modern dining area comfortably seats six and is adjacent to the porch with stunning sunset and gulf views. This covered porch features bar top seating for 4 guests, a prime location for a coffee or evening cocktails while you catch a magnificent sunset.
Sharing that porch access is the spacious living room with a comfortable queen sleeper sofa, designer seating, a wall-mounted Samsung SmartTV with Sonos play bar, Bose speaker system and Blu-Ray DVD player. Guests also have an updated half bathroom and a laundry closet with a stackable washer and dryer located on this main floor, adjacent to the kitchen.

Atop the stairs, on the upper level of the penthouse there is a king primary bedroom with designer furnishings from Mitchell Gold including two nightstands, side chair and multiple lamps. An LCD TV and Wifi enabled Blu-Ray DVD player can be found in the master as well. The king bedroom features an updated private bathroom with a single vanity and a large walk in shower. Across the hall the second bedroom, a queen features a dresser for storage and a beautiful Italian cotton coverlet with cotton blankets and multiple pillow choices. The queen has a large mounted LCD TV with Wifi enabled Blu-Ray. There is an adjacent full hall bathroom off the queen with a single vanity and a shower only. Both bedrooms have access to the open air private rooftop patio with chaise loungers for two.

There is an elevator provided for guests to make moving in and out a breeze! Just outside of the entrance to the penthouse is a beautiful, recently refurnished common area with multiple seating areas and incredible views of the Gulf and Coleman Pavilion for all guests in the building to enjoy.

The biggest benefit of the location of this penthouse is its proximity to the beach and Gulf. It is just 75 steps across the street and through Seaside’s famous Coleman Beach Pavilion where guests will show their provided personal wristbands to access the special owner area on the beach.

I’m not referring to a regular trash pick up, it’s a large industrial metal dumpster and makes so much noise that it could wake the dead. We even put on white noise and that didn’t help. I messaged management, but there was nothing they could do. Location: Right in the square as described and directly across from the beach. Great location. Description: I would not call the condo newly updated. The kitchen appliances are on the newer side, but definitely not the bathrooms. There were a few items in disrepair that management took care of immediately. Some of the shades open and close, but have broken pulls. There are definitely plenty of signs of wear and tear. The master closet cabinets don’t properly open and close because they are likely original. These little things don’t impact the quality of my trip, but definitely matter at this price point. Also, the tv’s aren’t the most up to date. They had no wireless connectivity or ability to cast. The living room chairs were very comfortable, as well the beds. We also enjoyed our view of the ocean from the bedrooms. The kitchen is nicely equipped. With all that said, if it weren’t for the metal dumpster being emptied every morning at 5, I’d likely stay here again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After going to Seaside yearly over the past many years, we were so excited to finally stay on the square. However, this condo proved itself to not be worth the money or location. Although it states that the condo is renovated, very little of the condo is renovated. Thus, this condo is not worth the money we spent on it. Because the location is on the square, it is more expensive to stay here, yet it is not near as nice. After our first night in the condo, we were woken up all night long by the outside noise. We were also woken up by the garbage dumpsters being emptied at 5am. Seaside is a very quiet town, especially after 10pm. Hearing all of these noises throughout the night only came to prove how thin the walls were. We also had trouble with the wifi working. We were able to hook up to the wifi, however, nothing would stay connected to it. With this, we stayed in this condo for one night and then found another place to stay on airbnb for the rest of our stay (4 more nights and 5 more days). By moving to a new place, we were able to further enjoy the beach and have a WAY better place to stay. I know this condo is in the process of trying to be sold. However, if I could recommend something to the new property owner... It would be to modernize this place and make it feel more like "home". The wifi could use some work, as well as some curtains/rugs/new windows.. something to block out the outside sounds. New furniture would also be beneficial and a better selling point to renters. (as the furniture inside the condo now is old and gross. I was grossed out to sit against the pillows on the couch, as it was evident that they have not been cleaned or washed.) To end with a positive note, the rental company was very nice and attentive. I would rent through this company again. It was the condo itself that made the stay there very un-enjoyable.
