Super clean, comfortable, well stocked, and unique. The details that have gone into this cabin are impressive. Good location to see attractions but return to peace and quiet when wanted.

Thank yo so much, Peggy! It always makes my day when I hear people love the place like we do.
We love this place. I think this was our 4th time here. This cabin is amazing. Such attention to detail. Wonderful area. Quite, secluded. Great little town as well. The owner, Jim, is always available and made our stay easy and pleasant
We had a wonderful relaxing week. Enjoyed cool mountain weather in a lovely restored mountain cabin. It couldn’t have been better. The owners have thought of everything you might need. The sun porch was amazing. The beds were amazing. We will definitely do this again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check in was a breeze..
Cabin was modernized but kept its charm. Beautiful decorated. There were a lot of nice little touches - night lights, coffee, laundry soap, etc. we would stay here again if we are ever in the area again. Great location to Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Cliff Dwelling, Broadmore Seven Falls and we took a day trip to the Royal Gorge park and Bridge. This cabin was great!

Thanks Dawn! That really means a lot to us. It really makes all the restoration work worthwhile when we get to share it with folks who appreciate it. We hope you'll come back again.
We loved this cozy 1940's cabin which has been completely renovated with modern amenities but keeping with the 40's charm! Easy to access Rt 24 for adventures but nestled on the wooded hillside. We slept so comfortably on the Dreamcloud mattresses and comfy sheets. There were plenty of towels and hot water for the four of us. We loved sipping our coffee on the front porch rockers. The cabin had everything we needed to make our Pikes Peak vacation perfect. Jim is an thoughtful host and good communicator. We hope to return someday!
We spent 4 relaxing and family filled days in the Mountains of Cascade, just outside Colorado Springs. Jim and his lovely wife have done a phenomenal job restoring this 1940's cabin to a time capsule pristine condition.- with the exception of all new appliances, bathroom, furniture and anything else you would need. Attention to detail is amazing. 12 out of 10 stars if possilbe.
We had the fortune to be the first VRBO guest this past summer. Second time around late December did not disappoint. The craftsmanship of the cabin is amazing. The cleanliness and all new furniture, new kitchen, new bath etc were exceptional. Fantastic host to boot. 6 out of 5 stars.
The cabin is as beautiful as the pictures indicate. Great attention to detail and I had everything that I could possibly have expected during my stay. I am a bonehead and thought my check out time was 11 instead of 10 but was treated with patience and kindness!!
Thank you!!

Thank you for your kind words, and for leaving a nice note in our guest book as well. Alicia said it was a pleasure meeting you. I was so glad to hear you had a nice relaxing stay. We hope you'll come back again.
We needed a peaceful getaway and this was it. Accommodations 5-star. James was great to work with. It was comfortable and quiet and the bonus was the deer we saw every morning. Can't say enough good...we will definitely recommend this cabin and will be back.

Beautiful cabin with everything you need. Just bring your clothing, food & drink. The host was very good about communicating. In between Manitou Springs & Woodland Park, so lots to see. We look forward to visiting again.

About the host
Hosted by James Wing
My wife, Alicia, and I (James/Jim) are long-time (25+ years) Colorado Springs residents. We found each other at the University of Colorado in the late 80s and have been together ever since. Alicia is a financial software consultant. I do information technology (IT) for the U.S. Space Force, and manage a few rental units (aka "our semi-retirement plan"). I love renovating/restoring properties and meeting people, so a vacation rental seems a perfect endeavor to keep me busy & engaged.
Why they chose this property
We stumbled upon this great property in 2019 and fell in love with it. Jim spent 2+ years restoring the cabin -- keeping the original charm as much as possible, while bringing the kitchen & bath up to modern sanitation standards. I became an expert window glazier, restoring hundreds of panes in the true divided-lite windows, but it was worth it.
What makes this property unique
We see wildlife every day. It is just far enough outside the city for serenity, but close enough for convenience.
