Quiet and Beautiful Place for a Hawaiian Getaway!

A quiet and beautiful setting for a wonderful Hawaiian getaway. Our condo was built in 2000 and is one of the newest in the Maui Kamaole complex We recently updated all the furniture in the unit including new chairs and a new pull out couch.

The condo is quietly nestled away from busy highway 31 and the car traffic of the complex. The front lanai looks out over the beautifully landscaped tropical gardens. It is just steps away from one of the two resort swimming pools featuring a Jacuzzi. There are also two tennis courts nearby and several BBQ areas.

And unlike most units, which back up onto parking lots, our unit backs onto green space and gives an unobstructed view of the mountain from the two back lanais. This also makes the unit very private.

The main room has a large vaulted ceiling and is spacious, open and filled with light. It includes the kitchen, dining area and living room all tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped for all your cooking needs.

There is a 64 inch flatscreen Roku TV in the living room. We have true high speed internet with wifi.

The master suite upstairs has a king bed, a 32 inch flatscreen TV, master bathroom and a lanai with two chairs and a gorgeous mountain view. The downstairs bedroom has two twin beds(that can be converted to a king) as well as a 32 inch flatscreen TV and an adjoining bathroom.

Maui Kamaole is an upscale low density complex. It is family friendly and also the perfect place for a romantic getaway. There are just 13 clusters of low-rise buildings on 23+ acres of lush gardens.

Just 5 minutes away is Ulua Beach Park which has some of the best snorkeling on Maui and the sandy beach entry is the perfect place for beginners and kids to learn to snorkel.

It's close to many restaurants, shops, and championship golf courses at Wailea and Makena. The beautiful Wailea Walking Trail is a short distance south. Across the street is one of Maui's best beaches, Maui Kamaole Beach Park III, a beautiful sandy beach where you can swim and snorkel, or picnic on the large grassy area beneath shade trees. And the best boogie boarding on the island.

Great Place

Family visit

If you happen to goings-on maui, then this is the place you should stay, very nice place for your family vacation, perfect location. Awesome & Outstanding

What a beautiful place and the location is perfect as it was close to everything. The beach was directly across the street and shopping and restaurants were within walking distance. We could not have asked for a better place to stay and there was ample space for 5 adults. Would recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again.

Awesome family vacation

Eric and Betsy’s condo was a great find for us. We’ve stayed in other condos at Maui Kamaole and theirs is definitely in the best location, steps from upper pool and parking. The lanai was lovely with a nice view, especially in the evening. Kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms nicely renovated. Would definitely stay here again.

Very enjoyable unit, excellent location

The complex is in a great location, the pool is wonderful and the unit is excellent. We got the place clean and inviting. Communication with Eric was quick and efficient and the many items at the unit (beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, cooler) made the experience very enjoyable.

Everything is awesome!

The condo was clean, quiet, well stocked and comfortable. We slept well with supportive (but not rock hard) mattresses and a/c units and fans. Kitchen had plenty of tools for us to cook. Beach supplies so we didn't need to buy anything. Great location not far from beautiful beaches (we drove rather than walked). Super close to Wailea. All kinds of yummy food nearby. Communication was great. Would definitely stay again.

Great location

We’ve stayed in the complex several times. The condos have great amenities plus they are quiet at night compared to other places we’ve stayed in Kehei. The a/c and washer and dryer is a plus. The two bathrooms were perfect. My husband and I were traveling with our son and his best friend (seniors in high school) so having the double beds in the downstairs bedroom was great too.

Beautiful location, well appointed, amazing communication!

My family had an awesome week staying here. I had a few questions to ask about the unit and Eric was super quick to reply each time. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend out vacation! Having a washer and dryer in the unit was key, and all of the beach amenities in the closet was awesome. You forget how just having a cooler can make a huge difference! We will book here again on our next visit, what an awesome place and awesome family to rent from!!

Cozy vacation

I have stayed at Maui Kamaole before, but this was the first time my husband, his daughter and my mother in law have stayed and they absolutely loved it! The hosts communicated extremely well with regards to all the property info we needed and checking in was very easy. This unit was very clean when we arrived and is one of the best stocked vacation rentals I have stayed in ever! From the kitchen, to the bathrooms, to the lanai locker with the beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards, and snorkel gear, it felt like we were staying in our own home! Some people may point out the couple minor things such as the cracks in the drawers of the fridge, but stuff like that doesn’t bother us. We would stay here again and again when we come back!

Quiet relaxing retreat

A very comfortable two week stay for three adults. Comfortable beds and bedding, well-equipped kitchen with lots of storage containers, beautiful pool just steps away. We enjoyed the lanai every morning and evening and the retractable awning made it possible not be out there in the afternoon sun as well when it wasn’t really hot. Hardly used the air conditioning, as the cross breezes kept it cool enough when windows were open. Ice maker in the fridge was really appreciated and so were the ice packs for the coolers. Everything you need to enjoy your stay in Maui on a beautiful property that is quiet and full of beautiful birds to watch.

Great place to stay

This unit was great and the location was great. It felt very cozy and made relaxing very easy. Every room had A/C which was a huge plus. The pullout was very dated but the owner did warn me about it and that it would be getting replaced. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. It was nice to have full size washers and dryers in the unit too. They had everything we needed for the beach and snorkeling so we didn’t have to buy anything. The communication and response time from the owners was excellent. There was never an issue with communication. This will be our go-to spot the next time we are here. Thanks for letting us stay here on vacation!

Perfect for our family!

The condo was lovely! We had everything we needed there, and it was a great home base to enjoy the beautiful island. We did most of our own cooking at the condo and found everything we needed there. And as a family with 4 kids we made good use of all the Tupperware type containers for taking care of leftovers or for packing snacks for the beach. We made good use of the well stocked beach supplies cupboard too. Eric & Betsy were great to communicate with and gave us great tips for our vacation. We had brought our own wagon and were able to fill it with the beach gear and walk down to Kam lll. It was nice being so close to a great beach. On the last day we snorkelled with a big turtle! I already want to book our next stay. We love Maui and we loved staying here. Aloha!

Perfect in everyway

Four adults stayed here for 15 nights. We loved everything about this condo. You could just barely see the ocean but the grounds made up for it. We had everything we needed. All the beach stuff was well used by us. Eric and Betsy were only a message away if we needed something. They also gave their recommendations for shopping, restaurants and activities. We made use of many of them. The area is a very busy tourist place but you couldn't hear any of the street noise at all. We walked to the beach, restaurants and shops. Great Home Away From Home!

This condo was a wonderful place to stay during our 10-day trip to Maui. We really loved having that feeling of being home each evening. When we arrived, the condo was clean and the second bedroom had the bed made up as a King size, as requested when I booked. There was more than enough space for two couples. The upstairs master was really nice and I loved the bathroom. Just be aware that if you're traveling with people who stay up later than you, that the noise from the living room will carry up to the bedroom. The sliding doors on the loft were good for privacy though. The owners were very responsive when I was having an issue with making my final payment on the VRBO website. Any time I reached out to them, I got a very speedy reply. They gave great instructions on the check-in procedure with the condo complex, which I was able to do fully online. Just be aware that you will have to wait until you have your rental car to do the online check-in, because they want the license plate number. The owners sent some recommendations for restaurants, etc right before the trip, which was nice, and they also sent a couple of messages at the beginning of the stay to "check-in" with us to see if everything was going well, but said "no need to respond if everything is okay." They also provided the contact information for their on-island property manager, which was nice to have up front, in case of an issue. The upper pool was amazing and close to the unit (the pools have wifi too, by the way). We loved the roll out awning on the lanai and the kitchen was pretty well equipped (decent knives even!). The assigned parking spot was really close to the entrance as well. Overall, I would give this property and the owners two thumbs up. We had a great time!

Very comfortable

This property was excellent, had everything we needed to have a fabulous Christmas and new years with family. Everything was very straightforward and accessible. It is a beautiful area, accessible to everything. The outdoor gear was fantastic. Condo very comfortable and we didn’t want for anything. Loved it!

We had a beautiful time staying at this comfortable condo! Stove is dated but we never cook on vacation so it didn’t matter. AC units look older but were effective enough during a week that was not too hot. Furnishings are very comfortable, condo is located very close to the upper pool. Loved the awning for the lanai and the beach gear supply. Owner was so helpful and responsive, excellent communication. Relaxing, comfortable, lovely - everything you need for your time in paradise!

Loved it!

We loved the condo! It had everything we needed. When you arrive it will be hot but turn in the air conditioners and it will be great. They had blankets for all the people we had. We appreciated that. They lots of beach towels and regular towels for our family of 6. Overall we loved our stay.

The perfect getaway

We've been coming to Maui Kamaole for many years now, and although all our homes here have been wonderful, Eric and Betsy's truly stands out. The unit was sparkling clean, beautifully appointed, and outfitted with everything we could need. They are excellent communicators, to boot. We couldn't have had a more wonderful stay.

My wife, daughter and I came to Maui for the first time in 2010. And when I decided to take a month off as a 50th birthday present in 2019, we came here again, which led to us buying in Maui. We have traveled extensively, we live full time on the island of Key West, but we like Maui best. It is a special place.

Why they chose this property

We love this condo complex. We felt welcomed in by the beautiful colors, the sunlight that filled the room, the vaulted ceilings and pleasing decor. We knew immediately that this place had a very special charm. We have stayed at other resorts but Maui Kamaole has by far been our favorite and we are so excited to be a part of it. The condos are low-rise and surrounded by beautiful lush grounds with swimming pools, jacuzzis and BBQ areas close by.
