WE ARE: Charming cozy cabin overlooking a beautiful private lake and mountains and nestled on a private78-acres. Two fire pits and cabin wood burning fireplace. This is the perfect getaway to recharge your batteries and soothe your soul. Our guests refer to us as, “A hidden gem."

The cabin includes one super comfy king bed, and a new cozy additional room with another super comfy brand new daybed, new renovated bathroom with a walk-in shower, fully equipped kitchen with cute table and eating area, washer and dryer, an amazing large screen porch overlooking the mountains and an 8 acre lake, a new secured and connected to the cabin…spacious and fenced dog run equipped for both pups and relaxing humans. Pup friendly. Please log in pets when registering.!🐾 🐾 (All guests please: 21 years of age or older.) Super equipped kitchen with new quartzite counters, microwave, stove/oven, coffee maker with plenty of coffee, hot chocolate and creamer, refrigerator/freezer/ice, new utensils, new dishes, new glasses, pots & pans and a few spices. The cabin also includes a large Smart TV with cable, WIFI, ceiling fans, and washer and dryer. The screened porch that is overlooking the large lake and the mountains, also has comfy chairs and a small table, to sit and enjoy the sounds of nature or enjoy a delicious home cooked meal. Also on the screened porch is a suspended/hanging daybed/chair/swing fully equipped with bedding for anyone who wishes to sleep amongst the stars... and includes a mounted outdoor heater over the swing bed…powered by a remote, …and a new beautiful ceiling fan. There is a new large special fenced in secure pet area accessible directly from the screen porch with solar nighttime lighting, a dog bed, and sitting area for the pup's humans.
There is a new cozy park bench in the front yard overlooking the mountains and lake, a wood burning fire pit at lakeside, and a charcoal grill..bring charcoal, propane firepit and grill (propane provided) in the large pavilion for registered guests next to cabin... with seating, picnic tables, games, fans, Smart TV, and cool lighting. . This property is accessed through a gate to ensure your privacy. Parking is plentiful and be sure to bring your bikes!
We provide Kayaks, water safety vests, paddles to row, fishing poles and tackle box, and comfy chairs for beside the water. The 78 acres has stunning views for exploring and super fun additions. This vacation cabin is a maximum stay of 14 days. We also love to share our small outdoor museum sharing collectibles from this historic Llama farm.

Driving up to Mountain Soul set my soul at ease. This cabin has everything you need. Angela is incredible to work with also! This is my go to when visiting North GA.

The perfect getaway!

The host went above and beyond in so many ways to make sure we were comfortable and had an amazing stay. From dog treats and firewood, to the best restaurant recommendations. The host is beyond amazing. The property is quiet and secluded and was the perfect place to unplug and get away for a much needed vacation.

Mountain Soul was amazing!

Dancing Dog Farm is a very special place and we enjoyed our time so much. Angela is an exceptional host! We will be back to experience more kayaking, hiking, fishing, and the most peaceful place ever! Great getaway to disconnect from work / daily life and reconnect with loved ones and nature! Best dog friendly cabin in N Georgia

Always a pleasure to stay here at Mountain Soul. Angie always makes us feel so welcome and even has treats for us and the pup waiting. Easy check in to a clean and comfortable cabin that sits high on a hill overlooking a pond. The attached dog area makes it so easy for those traveling with their furry companions. The cabin has a wonderful heated bathroom with a large shower and wonderful towel warmer and the king bed is very comfortable. There are hills to explore and also a large covered outdoor entertainment area with a gas grill and a smoker and fishing gear. Two kayaks are also near the pond should you decide to go out on the pond. We love coming back each year - we never even turned on the TV this time as we enjoyed the silence and sounds of nature. When vacationing with our pup, this is the only choice for us!

Peaceful Thanksgiving Getaway

My dogs and I absolutely loved this cabin! Angela went above and beyond to make sure our first time visit to Georgia was memorable with so many thoughtful gifts and kind messages. She was very helpful and gave me recommendations for dog friendly restaurants. The cabin is so clean and updated with many attention to details! It has everything you can imagine and then some! We can’t wait to visit again in the summer! 🐶🐾

Peaceful and relaxing.

Very private but minutes away fro Ellijay. The cabin was very comfortable and very clean.. The pavilion on the other hand needs a good power wash and the grills need cleaning. The kitchen needs some type of exhaust for cooking. Set off the smoke alarm multiple times. Overall a nice stay. The dogs enjoyed the dog yard.

First let me say the host is wonderful.!! 100 Stars Picture do not tell how GREAT this place is. If you need a place to rejuvenate this is it. Sounds of nature a defend plus. The special give the host left was perfect. Decor was Amazing, everthing is well thought of from the swing on poarch, kayaks, grills, towels in bathroom. I will be stay again real soon. I promise this is well worth the drive. Great couple getaway. I forgot to say Very Private!!! pavillion was great for games and I caught a fish.

Cozy and quaint

This property was amazing, and the communication with the host was the best I've ever had, hands down! She even offered early check-in and late check-out, which was much appreciated! It's cozy and quaint, with everything a couple and their furry companions could want. The drive in is a little rough, but totally worth it. The single room cabin is super cozy, and it isn't lacking for anything. The covered front porch was a favorite respite, particularly the swing bed with its own heater and lake view. The attached dog yard is big enough for the canine companions to play, and they can access the porch and the dog yard without having to worry about them getting out (although small dogs can pass through the large wire squares). The large covered outdoor kitchen/dining area was a welcome bonus, and we put it to use grilling meals after a day of gallivanting. The property was meticulously maintained, clean, and we truly enjoyed our stay here! I totally see us coming back to stay here again!

Heaven on Earth

This place is so peaceful, serene and the view is amazing and beautiful. The cabin is situated at the top of a small hill overlooking a gorgeous pond with a small lighthouse. The front porch has a spacious swing that is super comfy. The sounds of nature are the only sounds we heard other than ourselves speaking. No traffic, just Mother Nature in all her glory. The lighted pavilion is a great outdoor space with lots of cooking grills , fire pit, picnic tables, fishing poles, tackle box and cornhole boards. There are 2,kayaks The cabin was well stocked with the basics. Angela is a very attentive host and defines the term “ superhost” . I can honestly say that out of all the places we have stayed at, she has been the most attentive host ever . If I could give Mountain Soul 100 stars- I would. I will definitely return. If your soul needs a recharge- this is it!

Cozy Dream Cottage

I have to start with Angela, my host. From the day I booked the reservation Angela wanted to share with me all the little gems for me to visit while I was there along with necessity location such as food stores and of course wineries. Her enthusiasm for wanting her guest to feel like they are at home is truly genuine and comes across the minute you chat with her. And she is a dog LOVER which is great considering I do not travel without mine. The cottage itself was very clean, inviting and well stocked from the kitchen to the bathrooms towels and bed linens. I stayed at the cottage for two weeks and within a couple of days fell in love with the property, my view for the porch (I worked while on vacation) and the quietness that allowed me to enjoy the sounds of nature, Which allowed me to to be at peace & creative with my work. My dogs were in heaven listening to the sounds of nature as we live in the city. Before my two weeks ended (boohoo..) I booked another two week stay in a couple of months from now. Daydreaming of my return soon :-) Thank you Angela for your hospitality and genuine love for making your guests feel like family.

“Paradise in the mountains “

It is hard to express how I feel about staying in Angela’s cabin. Angela had become a dear friend of mine after this experience….. and she was not even in the state. Angela is one of the most caring and thoughtful people I have ever encountered! She tended to every need I had and made SURE that I had a beautiful experience that I would never forget. The Dancing Dig cabin is a place that is nestled into the bottom of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the beauty is something that is hard to put into words. I was sitting on the swing on the porch and watched a storm come in. The rain hit the tin roof and was incredibly soothing to hear. The cabin had a very modern shower. Angela is an extremely upbeat person who continually makes sure that you have BEYOND what you need. She has become my friend, just through her courtesy and kindness. I would give the cabin and Angela 100 STARS and I plan on coming back many times. If you decide to visit the Dancing Dog cabin, you will leave, never to forget your wonderful experience! I know that I came away from my five days feeling very blessed, and I wasn’t even able to buy a house, which was the reason for my trip.

This was the perfect getaway for us. Way out in the country and QUIET! Very peaceful and relaxing cabin and grounds. The HOST is amazing! Super pet friendly and the pavilion is an outstanding addition. We spent most of our time just sitting and relaxing in the pavilion. This is a definite do-it-again soon place for us!
