Host is very easy to communicate with and accommodating. Nice big fenced in back yard, plenty of sleeping spots for guests to choose from, very clean home, comfortability is 10/10.
This was a great getaway. The fenced-in backyard was wonderful and we spent the majority of our time out there. The place was clean and in a great neighborhood, within walking distance to numerous restaurants and parks. I really appreciated that it was dog-friendly!
Exceptional host and comfortable well maintained property
The hospitality we received was nothing short of amazing. We had a very comfortable stay with plenty of room for 4 people. We appreciated the size of the kitchen and the stocked fire pit. The property was clean and obviously cared for. I feel very comfortable recommending this host and property.
We needed a comfortable local place for my hubby and our adult children to stay the night of and the night before our son’s wedding at Pinewood. Our 2 year old grandson and dog loved the yard and the beds were comfy! Would for sure stay here again!
Perfect vacay house to rent for big groups with pets!
Hostess went above and beyond, was available to help whenever we needed it and great response time. She had treats waiting for our group, cookies for us and even dog treats for the 3 puppers. House has a fully equipped kitchen and many comfortable bedrooms. Yard was perfect for our dogs to run around and allow us privacy. Great first experience on this app!!

Charming, clean and cozy
This house was so charming quiet and spacious. It’s a historic house with plenty of character, creaks and quirks. My primary concern in a stay is comfort, safety and cleanliness and this property definitely delivers. This beds were super comfortable and there was plenty of extra bedding and blankets. The living room furniture is comfortable and cozy. Everything felt very fresh and clean when we arrived. The neighborhood is quiet, cute and feels very safe. The host was very responsive and helpful. Thanks for a fabulous stay!!
The property has good possibilities, but still needs work to make the experience better. Bathroom faucet is loose, oven did not work properly, gate latch on fence is too low to allow someone shorter than 5’10” to easily exit to parking area. bedrooms/closets/living area are good sized and were clean, and easily supported our group size.

Brian, thanks again for the feedback! All issues you highlighted have been addressed. The oven clock was replaced prevent the unnecessary beeping, a gate rope installed for opening and closing latch and the faucet tightened. I hope to host you again in the future.
Excellent location for family reunion in town, especially with all hotels booked. While an old house it has been maintained and improved quite a bit yet still retains the charm. Except for an area the owner fixed, the house was very clean and well cared for. The two beds on the lower floor were good, the AC was excellent and plenty of hot water. Kitchen is a bit dark but had all the needed amenities. We did not use the upstairs rooms so can't comment on them except to say it is a very steep stair up. There is only one bathroom so necessary to coordinate the larger the group.
Disappointed. This home needs a lot of repair and safety updates.
Don’t stay here in the summer when it’s hot or if you have small children.
The upstairs bedrooms were uncomfortably warm. There was an in window air conditioning unit in one of the bedrooms but it did not even cool one room. No one in our party wanted to sleep there and so we ended up having to have people sleep on the floor in the living room. We rented the home because we wanted four bedrooms but could only use two.
One of the upstairs bedrooms was the size of a large closet. Also upstairs, was a closet/crawl space that should have been secured with a lock. There were exposed rafters, insulation and what appeared to be personal items in that space. If I would have been traveling with small children, I would have had to not allow them upstairs.
In addition, there were other safety hazards like two porch windows that were broken and repaired with only clear tape. In one of the first floor bedrooms, there was a closet that only had a fabric curtain for a door and behind the curtain were the dryer exhaust hose and water lines from what I suspect was the laundry in the basement. This area should have been covered by a cabinet or some other way to prevent young children from tampering with the lines.
In the kitchen, the vegetable and fruit drawers from the refrigerator fell off the tracks when you slid them out and the dishwasher made a horrible creaking sound when you opened it (like a dungeon door).
Several of the home’s heating vents that were located along the floor were not securely attached and were pulling away from the wall. The door to the porch did not have a door knob which made it hard to open. In the living room, there were several places on the wall where it looked like the painting job wasn’t finished. In addition, the outside light fixture was not secured to the wall and the yard was full of weeds.
This wasn’t a safety issue but more of an aesthetic but the kitchen cabinets were painted (poorly) black and showed drips of paint and smudges. There was one lower cupboard that had a mysterious hole on the inside wall. In addition there was a junk drawer in the dining room full of random lightbulbs and tools.
In the bathroom, the sink fixture was not secure and it wobbled.
There is nothing special about this property and very little positive to say about it.
My family did not enjoy our stay at this property and can not recommend it unless the safety concerns and amenities are remedies and fixed.

The window AC in the upper unit has cooled fine for all guests before and after this stay. The closet/crawl space does have a lock at the top of the door well out of the reach of children and also marked private. Most of us do realize that attics have areas where rafters might be exposed & insulation can be seen because. Given this review, I know now that people can be so curious they disregard signs/locks. I will put padlocks on both doors now to ensure safety. As a side note for those who are curious... the "personal items" inside this PRIVATE area is a small box of pictures left by previous owners that I am hesitant to toss until all efforts to reach the family of the previous owner are exhausted given precious nature of such items and inability for them to replace. The porch has double paned windows and there is a crack that I would not consider a hazard however this too will be addressed. The queen bedroom on main floor has a washer and dryer hook up covered by a curtain again no danger. As for the vegetable and fruit drawers on the refrigerator, I will investigate as I was unaware. Despite the creaking noted on dishwasher door, I promise that it is not haunted...I will put on WD40. As for the heating vents on the floor, the home is over 100 years old. The door to the porch has no issue. The living room, has one single strip of unpainted area likely 20inches by 1 inch. This happened when I went to use a sticky tape to hold in the cord for the tv... I did not like how it looked so when I removed it the paint went with it! The grass was a bit overgrown due to the constant rains. Cambridge area was hit by 5 inches of rain in 90 minutes which is good but the bad this was it was too wet to mow for nearly a week and in that time weeds do grow here in MN! The kitchen cabinets are painted black and they do show some drips of paint and smudges. I did not paint myself, the previous owner did and again, no complaints on this to date. Lastly the "junk" drawer is not junk at all it has a flashlight, a few candles, 2 screw drivers, a few light bulbs & batteries for remotes in case needed. So, in summary, I encourage you to read other reviews as this is a clean, cozy, charming house with a ton of character that guests seem to really appreciate. I did not get an opportunity to talk with this guest before/after stay. I would encourage all to be fair & 2 address issues with a host directly giving us the chance to address for you. Safe Travels!
Very clean, nicely stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom, spacious and lots of sleeping room. Fenced in yard with patio furniture and a firepit too!
We were in town for a wedding and the rental property was not walkable from the reception. Ride share was not available in the area and Suzan offered to pick our group up afterwards! Communication with her was great and she picked us up after the wedding! She went above and beyond as a host!
