Escapade en Cévennes

To recharge your batteries, get away from it all and visit the Gard Cévennes, 12 kilometres from Alès: pleasant 60 m² house completely renovated on two levels. On the ground floor, the entrance is through a large veranda in which there is a living room and the dining area (equipped with a ceiling fan), near the window. The dining area opens onto the modern kitchen which in turn opens onto another living room with a fireplace. The bathroom and toilet are also on this level. The ground floor is air-conditioned. A wooden staircase leads you upstairs to a mezzanine which houses a bedroom for 2 people (a 140 bed). Next to it, a second bedroom with 2 beds (90) awaits you under the roof. The windows are equipped with mosquito nets. All the rooms open onto a terrace on which there is private garden furniture. You have a view of the large inner courtyard closed by a carriage door. You will be able to enjoy the pleasure of having your meals while letting yourself be lulled by the calm of nature and the view of natural stones from another century. This small house of recent renovation is exactly located in the heart of a large authentic Cevennes farmhouse dating from the 18th and 19th centuries composed of two buildings in a very small hamlet typical of the Cévennes. The house adjoins a second cottage which has its own terrace on the other side of the building. The whole allows to welcome travellers in search of beautiful escapes on a vast property offering many green spaces arranged for rest, walking, picnic and a river twenty minutes walk away in the valley. At the gates of the Cévennes you are also close (20 minutes) to the train station of Alès, theatres, cinemas, restaurants and all the amenities of the city. In addition, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the green setting of the Cévennes mountains: long-distance hiking trails, starry nights, horse riding, swimming in rivers, many tourist attractions are available to you here (Pont du Gard, Bambouseraie.....).
